  1. Not to mention Boris & Natasha, Dudley & Nell, and Sherman
  2. OK to get that out of my head I need something dark and moody and in 5/4 time: Rachmaninov: The Isle of the Dead, Symphonic poem Op. 29 - Andrew Davis This is the exact opposite of Saxophobia
  3. Ernie Kovacs was cool. From "The Ernie Kovacs Record Collection" a song near and dear to the heart of every saxophobia sufferer.
  4. See Me, Feel Me / Listening To You - The Who (Touch Me, Heal Me)
  5. The racoon was helping to navigate. He was the gator aid.
  6. All the waterfowl kept their eyes closed except for one. He was a Peking Duck. If your doctor is a quack, you have every right to duck him on the bill. After he ate the duck, the alligator got a little down in the mouth. (after these bad puns, I'm ducking for cover)
  7. While we are getting touchy: "I Touch Myself" - Divinyls
  8. Do You Wanna Touch Me? (Oh Yeah!) - Joan Jett and the Blackhearts
  9. It wouldn't hurt to put a little Bombay in that tonic, would it?
  10. No I used Dr. Bronners - the only soap I've used in the shower since the 1960s. Besides it has hemp in it.
  11. No Strings (I'm Fancy Free) - by Irving Berlin Ella Fitzgerald with Paul Weston & His Orchestra
  12. Nah, don't need to play them - it just looks impressive!
  13. Yep - me. Sax, wind synthesizer, flute, guitar, bass, keyboard synth, drums and vocals. Mostly tenor sax but I can play them all. Drums were my first instrument but sax is my primary instrument. Wind synth is sax related as the fingerings are almost the same but playing technique differs from synth patch to synth patch. I don't always practice safe sax. And yes, I'm a sax fiend and sax addict. I've been told I'm good in the sax too. In my current duo http://www.s-cats.com I play sax/wind synth on almost 2/3 of the songs, guitar on about 1/3 and depending on the night a few with the flute. Oh and I sing about half the vocals. The ratio of sax to guitar depends on the audience and the songs that are working that night. It's easier to read music on the sax than the guitar, but it's much easier to transpose keys on the guitar. Each instrument has it's easier and harder features. Voice is the instrument that took me the longest to learn well enough to perform on-stage without embarrassing myself or getting the band fired. My screen name is "Notes" because back in the Jurassic era of the Internet, when we discussed things on usenet/newsgroups instead of these forums, there were already 3 people with my name on alt.saxophone (but I'm the genuine one). One called himself Bob, another Robert, and a third Bobby so I chose the nickname my sister's business partner called me, "Notes" and it stuck. (Stuck notes?) So this Notes likes to play notes past the 12th fret, sometimes two notes at a time, especially if the guitar has a 25.5" scale because the notes are too close together on shorter scale guitars and Notes has a hard time those playing notes without fretting out or hitting the wrong note. This might be noteworthy to some and others will hardly notice. Insights, incites and a bit of silliness by Notes
  14. "Fancy Colours" - Chicago Terry Kath was one of the two guitarists that Jimmi Hendrix openly said was much better than himself. The other was Buddy Guy.
  15. I gigged at a couple of different venues. On Friday they hit the dance floor right after dinner and it stayed full all night. On Saturday they just went wild for my saxophone, playing air-sax on the dance floor and cheering me on (and I went home with money in my pocket - I love this life). Notes
