  1. Spanish Castle Magic - Jimi Hendrix (double word score?) ?
  2. Problem solved. My webhost changed the name of the outgoing mail server. They may have sent out a letter that I didn't understand or ignored, then again they might not have judging from the loooooooooong hold times. But all is well that ends well. So what should I listen to to celebrate the restoration of my e-mail client? ???
  3. I remember learning this song when I was in a disco band. And I remember the double-knit polyester jump suits that were rather itchy and the platform shoes that were very difficult to keep balanced on. But I also remember all the single girls and the good times. It was worth the shoes and the double-knits. This was one of the more fun tunes of that genre Devil's Gun - C.J. and Co.
  4. Undersea adventure???? Yellow Submarine - Beatles (IMO not their best work)
  5. On hold to my web host's tech support, with really, really bad "on hold" music interrupted every 15 seconds by someone thanking me for my patience - even though my patience ran out about 15 minutes ago. Aaaarrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhh
  6. The Waters Of March (de Águas de Março by A.C.Jobim) - Mark Murphy's interpretation
  7. More Eva Cassidy Autumn Leaves (nice guitar work and vocals) Ain't No Sunshine (a nice take on the Bill Withers song) She died of cancer when she was 33 years old, but left a lot for us to enjoy. Too bad she was taken so soon, as there wold have surely been a lot more great music for the world.
  8. It was written by Herbie Hancock but a hit for Mongo "Watermelon Man" - Mongo Santamaria
  9. Stay safe Wibbles. Batten down the hatches. Perhaps a little libation down the hatch too.
  10. "Over The Rainbow" - Eva Cassidy My wife just turned me on to her. Amazing talent on both guitar and vocals. How could she have stayed hidden from me for so long?
  11. We just learned "Fun Fun Fun" for a regular audience member. We play once a week on a deck at a marina on a lagoon across from a state park. The location brings out a lot of beach, tropical, and other "summer songs" from the snowbirds who are vacationing down here. And they are fun to play. The song is Fun Fun Fun but with the two of us, we don't have all the harmonies so I put some of the parts on the synthesizer and included it in my backing track (I make my own backing tracks for my duo) "Fun Fun Fun" - The Beach Boys
  12. Nothing wrong with a repeat. "Peppermint Twist" - Joey Dee and the Starliters. (IMO no need for a video) Many years ago I played at The Peppermint Lounge in Miami, FL. It was a big deal at the time. I wasn't legal at the time, but the band leader was and I guess that's all that counted. They wouldn't serve me drinks though.
  13. "The Warmth Of The Sun" - The Beach Boys A lot of their lyrics are corny by today's standards, but their harmony singing was top-notch by any standard.
  14. Happy Birthday 2 U !!!! And I wish you 67 more. Notes
  15. We are a perverted society when natural body functions are something to be ashamed of. Face it, s*** happens. Create a need, release a product to satisfy that need, and you corporate stocks shall rise. Insights and incites by Notes
  16. While I'm on the subject of great Brazilian female singing pianists, here is Valeu - Tania Maria
  17. Call Me - Eliane Elias (great pianist/singer)
  18. Well, since we're talking the elements, how about Helium - Plain White T's
  19. Keep Your Hands Off Her - Big Bill Broonzy 'Cause sometimes I have to go back to my R&B roots
  20. The Caves Of Altamira - Steely Dan
  21. (comment about the above video) ... Hypnotized - Fleetwood Mac (Bob Welch)
