  1. I am an admirer of Louis Jordan, Bill. Good vocals, fine sax playing and a great sense of humor. Ain't Nobody Here But Us Chickens - Louis Jordan & his Tympany Five
  2. People Gotta Move - Gino Vannelli Gino is an accomplished singer and his brother is a wizard on synths
  3. Africa Mamae - Jovino Dos Santos A lot of great music comes from the Cape Verde Islands and other Portuguese former colonies.
  4. I Only Have Eyes For You - The Flamingos IMO one of the best doo-wop songs ever recorded
  5. Prison is just one word to you... But for some people, it's a whole sentence.
  6. Red Sails In The Sunset - Lew Stone And His Band (supposedly the original recording, and the musical opposite of Iron Maiden)
  7. If a string breaks during a solo do you have a spare? She does - a spare violin. I guess the guy she borrowed the fiddle from got to at least hold a Stradivarius
  8. The Robert Fripp String Quartet
  9. Sorry to hear that. I hope you heal quickly and completely.
  10. Tenth Avenue Freeze Out - Bruce Springsteen
  11. One of my sax students turned me on to two CDs called "Honkers & Bar Walkers". Various nice sax players and a lot of R&B that preceded rock n roll. "Sausage Rock" - Doc Sausage
  12. If you see an Apple Store get robbed, does that make you an iWitness?
  13. Avalanche = mountain disaster so Volcano - Jimmy Buffett
  14. Blue And Sentimental - Ike Quebec Ike never got to be as famous as some of his contemporaries, but he was still a very good sax player.
  15. I agree. I used to have a Fender P Bass and I left the ash tray and the pickup cover on. Like this one: I think they look better that way.
  16. Surfin' USA - Beach Boys They settled the lawsuit with Chuck Berry and gave him writing credit and half the songwriter royalties because it sounded like "Sweet Little Sixteen". I wonder why "Twistin' USA" didn't fall to the same fate. Perhaps because it didn't sell enough to matter.
