I'm guessing WUP for Mercury was an order of magnitude more expensive than a $30 plugin, so euphoria might be a placebo effect here

If resale on software wasn't basically non-existant, it would be a lot easier to justify $75 given the other stuff you could sell off that this will replace. This is the only channel strip that doesn't feel compromised in some significant way to me. If they were able to add a pre-amp section with some saturation varieties it would be practically perfect. And this has very low CPU usage all things considered. Don't run a trial on this one if you are looking fo avoid the purchase that is for sure!

The 50 and 75 are unique. I'm glad they started making the 25 generic as once you start pending enough to earn the other two types, they are ironically frequently harder to spend without having to fork out even more money. At the same time, once you spend to maintain those tiers the only thing of interest are the ones you need a $75 for.

I have a couple but don't use them much, even so, very much in agreement regarding end of life. Shines a very direct light on the potential life span of these investments and it doesn't paint a pretty picture. I was opening a number of recording sessions I did 8 years ago and brought to light the plugins and workflow I was using then. Could have easily run into effects no longer working, and 8 years ago really felt pretty recent.

I gave it a test and think it could use some work. Sounds are fine but they only play while you play but noise drops off quickly when you stop playing and to me that sounds unnatural. Lots of the sounds would work well constantly playing but I don't see an obvious way to do that.

I haven't used it yet, but the concpet is a bunch of sample textures within a plugin that should overlay on top of your track. Therefore I'd assume it is basically looping or simply playing large WAV files for good fidelity. That is my assumption anyway, and with 70+ presets, I can imagine that could take up some space if that is how it works.

No comment on the price as I haven't tracked what a good deal is or not, but have used and like this MIC.

Nope, but that helps anyone not on the "list" to get them. And that is the tier that tends to be valuable in growing the collection. Still hoping for a deep discount on the Amek Console, as we only saw that once in January for a Day (and after most people would have used a voucher)

The phrase "long in the tooth" comes to mind here.

That picture yes. But this plugin has a bunch of alikes. Check the left hand column for the name clues. Was a free with purchase at plugin boutique a while ago and started my Melda collecting.

Not sure if related to your issue, but this doesn't work with the prochannel rematrix. It needs the standalone app after it has been authorized.

Create an Overload account and then login to said account when you launch the plugin. The Authorization code should auto populate for you.

Sadly I'm going to say "yes" MTurboDelay rarely seems to be the "go to" I'd think it would be. I open it thinking - this has everything - but in practical use I can rarely get it to do what I want. I'm a fan of Melda stuff but other than say the Tape interface which is pretty straight forward - as I go through options I'm left just wanting a simple interface like a guitar pedal with different sounding delays/repeats. And with all of that, it still lacks and Echorec simulation.... so there is that part too.

ADSR March FREE Plugin with Purchase - Kilohearts Slice EQ
Brian Walton replied to stony's topic in Deals
This was free with a late 2020 issue of computer music magazine.....so before you go spend $6 on some trash you don't need to get it, make sure you don't have it already. -
Plugin Boutique March Freebie - Bitwig 8 Track

Limitations ability to only use 2 VSTs, I'm out. ? -
When I read the list, I was thinking the Multi-Parimeters being part of the "acess to modulation" they mention. Multi-Parameters wouldn't have any meaning to anyone not already versed in "Melda" so I wonder if the term modulation was used instead as that at least has some context to it outside of the Melda world.

Here is the list of what you get by paying for the free ones. It isn't just nag screen removal. Though not everyone will utilize these things. https://www.meldaproduction.com/MFreeFXBundle

Is Cakewalk Reliable For Large Projects?
Brian Walton replied to Tim Smith's topic in The Coffee House
I agree the software is capable of large projects, but recording 16 tracks live - presumably latency and plugins isn't even a consideration for resource needs as it wouldn't be doing all that real time processing. (I was running similar projects with Cakewalk Sonar 4 about 15 years ago). Running 15 VSTis all with a long list of plugin chains and mastering plugins on the master bus plus running a guitar VST with low enough latency to not sense a hint of delay playing real time....then we are cooking - but this is going to be computer dependent as well....my main machine can't handle that but I'd imagine other decked out modern machines could. -
And one more thing to add, if you sign up for an account at Melda, they give you like $10 in credits so that plus a 50% off sale knocks it down. There is also 20% off referral bonus if you use someone's code (here is mine: MELDA31209027) for first time users. However, I tend to suggest buying something that is worth more than the free bundle to maximize the value there. But there are plenty of people that do this at a 50% off sale, get the 20% off referral discount and also take the $10 credit making the bundle only cost like $12 out of pocket.

Yeah, looks like a stripped down version of the Melda Free BUndle (that you also pay to unlock the added functionality). https://www.meldaproduction.com/effects/free I didn't look at the 1:1 but looks like a sub set of those plugins and I'm sure extended just means it unlocks those perpetually. I'd personally just wait for the next 50% off the free bundle sale to get all of the free ones unlocked, not just these 16. But certainly do more compariions on the products includes, I just took a 15 second look
