  1. I went ahead and bought it from another retailer (AudioDeluxe) as they were the cheapest for someone who already used a referral code in the past. If you have referral credits in your account from other people using your code, they will not let you use it for MTurboAmp during this special intro price. Personally I thought that was pretty lame and a poor way to support people that are out there spreading the good word about Melda in the first place and driving new business to them. That said, the intro pricing was lower than I expected them to come into the market with, so didn't make a big stink about it.
  2. Yes according to the initial emails.
  3. Well in this case they are using AI in the plugin and thus the phrase "smartest" is pretty easy to back up when they released it there certainly were not many others using any assistant based technologies. Sonible came out right about the same time if I remember correctly.
  4. The Soundwide Intro bundle also provides the opportunity to grab a license for each of those. I think I now will have 4 copies of each if I redeem my code from the bundle. Either that or sell them off to fuel other purchases.
  5. Might want to wait a day on this sale per the above if you are not maxing out a voucher, etc. If the 17.76 sale is actually good for 48 hrs.
  6. I have mtd but I think it needs more modules that are straight forward like a guitar pedal. I use mturbo reverb a bit but the delay have some trouble getting what Im after pretty frequently. As for IKM. They took on the whole gammut of plugins from hardware simulation on both the instrument and effects side. Not sure of anyone else that does both as well. Though outside of group buys not exactly known for budget/value. And agree they need to work on the update process both pricing and technical execution. I'd also like to see them work on efficiency of computer resources.
  7. If they didn't update the efficiency of the Neural Q after release, it might be worthless for practical use.
  8. Perhpas, but I can't imagine aquiring it any other way. ?
  9. I get this, though I DO own the product it says I don't https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/mixbox/index.php?p=versions
  10. I'm betting it doesn't. Percent used will vary, but compare mixbox with a few modules that equals channel processing is going to be more of a resource hog than a more efficiently coded set of tools from some other plugin makers. Fact remains Mixbox is more resource intensive then other tools on the market AND the sunset verb on its own while it is far from the most resource intensive verb on the market - it is more intensive than the old T-Racks verbs that are already in mix box...thus the likelyhood this update makes mixbox less of a resource hog seems unlikely. I like the concept of mix box, but think it needs some efficiency work to be a go to across all track as such a tool should be designed for.
  11. I'm betting this update won't help that MixBox is a resource hog....adding some higher end resource hungry Reverbs to it. Saddly, also think this should be a free update for Sunset Racks owners who also have Mixbox.
  12. I don't have either of those two, but I opened up about 15 other bx plugins and didn't have any immediate issues. That is frustrating though when an update breaks stuff. Things like the up side down meters in a previous update should have been caught by even the lowest level QA team.
  13. Electrum is lower than Bassment in the default state (20% on my machine)...however if you then turn on ALL of the effect and EQ modules within it, it jumps up to a similar 30%+ range. Electrum is in the same general range as Amplitube 5 in a default state.
  14. I didn't expect Full to be that crazy either but tried it on a few machines with the same kind of results. I knew it when I bought it just hope/hoped they figure out how to optimize it. At the intro price figured it was worth a chance and perhaps the next computer I get will be powerful enough to run it in a project without concern. One of the issues with these releases is sale prices (and regular price) are just way too high, intro pricing is about the only time the price seems in line with expectation.
  15. FYI "Core" uses 8% of my CPU in the default open plugin settings where the full version uses 32%.
  16. Glad to see this as a bonus for Bassment owners, will want to check out the CPU hit which might be the saving grace as the full version might be one of the most resource intensive plugins I have out of a couple thousand.
  17. Decent Sampler has some nice and interesting libraries for it. Quality and complexity will vary, but a worthy host and some gems to be found.
  18. MguitarArchitect is in development and might be more up your alley when released then. It combines MTurboAmp, MCab and likley other modules into a singular interface. While I like have amp sims with built in cab options, the reality is I'm going to be running at least a reverb in the chain too so the idea of having a one plugin for my amp rig just isn't based in my own reality so not a complete deal breaker. I woiuld be helpful for setting up and recalling rigs though that is for sure.
  19. Correct no cabs included. Yes you will want something if you want it to sound good, but technically it works without one but you would have to be pretty skilled to get something usable. Id grab this for free. https://lancasteraudio.com/shop/plugins/pulse/ It come with at least one cab and can also load others. You can grab more free IRs to load in it. https://bedroomproducersblog.com/2010/10/01/free-sample-shootout-6-best-free-guitar-cabinet-impulse-responses/ This will at least get you up and running.
  20. If you have all the plugins then the 1st three nothing you can do about. This is PA, and I'd guess CLAP will either be a free update for what you do have or they won't suport it at all anyway. ?
  21. If you own all their stuff, then who cares? ? Seriously though, I'm close to that stage and wondering if I should spend the $50 it takes to get in on this one. Nothing I'd be picking up are needs and money is tight with this economy and current situation.
  22. Depends on what you have/when you got in, IMO. It normally took a year to get a big new release down to a ~$30 mark. So this new scheme looks pretty good for those that already had everything they needed. The $15 former deals are now taken over by $20 deals in the emails and don't need a monthly voucher on top. Any new users frankly it keeps them from buying a bunch of the older stuff that would have been $15...but how many of those (non-amp plugins) do you reach for instead of the new shiny ones? For me all the cheaper channel strips now gather dust, the bus comps and eqs are replaced by something else in general. Given the freebie package they just gave out and this "$50 intro bundle" going on that can be stacked with other deals to make the vouchers make some sense, I'm going to suggest we need to wait a couple more months before suggesting the great deals are all washed up. We will see if the min vouchers cost return to normal after that intro bundle goes away....or higher tier NI + Izotope products get added to the mix of what we can buy with that voucher. I've only really been stocking up on PA for about 2 years and mostly what is left is the new stuff they just came out with which in the old world would be many months off from a deep discount better than the $31 anyway. I'll take PA over WAVES anyday.
  23. I'd suggest trying it out. With all due respect to the video creator....yes it is nice to get a video out quickly to gain views but setting all the amps to have the knobs all at "12 o'clock" isn't exactly going to showcase how an amp should sound or respond. Just finding 2 amps in there and really tweaking them to actually sound good would have been far more valuable to the "community" interested in buying the thing. IMO.
  24. I'm not a piano expert but it is the best sounding piano vst I've owned. The size is related to the number of mic pairs you can use (and blend). It has been a demo for a few months.
