Guess I should have demo'd it before putting my $3 down (had $2 in credits).

Had to click the link to see what a $300 reverb UI looks like. underwhelmed. And 10 GIGS for a reverb is madness.

Meldway Grand that also come with it is large but also amazing sounding. -
Well the UI has seem some updates over the last few years and adding in the "thumbnails" of the instruments was a pretty big one to make it look a little more appealing.

MeldaProduction PowerStrings Intro Sale for $9

Played around with it for 10 min this morning. Will certainly see some use from me, and appreciate the reasonable footprint. -
I didn't get one and in the last decade I managed to buy about 100 of their plugins....so I'm pretty sure they are only pulling from about a year back in sales to see who applies. (also get the marketing materials daily)

Yes, I work with photography and design at a professional level, so I work with resolution more than the average user. But the DAW itself is going to be full screen almost all the time for most users. Plugins on the other hand do get scaled around a ton, and the problem with them is that many are simply designed to small for 1080 to begin with and then don't even have a scaling option. Yes, there is a hidden beta forum here but you have to be on the beta team to see it...not sure if they are still accepting participants now that the bandlab subscription gets you access to a preview version...not sure if they have access to that sub forum either.

Perfect Space clicks and pops on new Sonar
Brian Walton replied to Scott C. Stahl's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Try this for free and load your same IR files from perfect space https://www.meldaproduction.com/MConvolutionEZ I've found it runs more efficiently than other on the market -
Yes, but the UI wasn't a bug (my Theme looks better to me than the new UI) - and we were also lifetimers not needing to pay extra for the updates. Newest version does have some new features, but honestly I'm shocked that something like Chord Track, Composer, Scaler type of functionality hasn't seen the light yet after over a year wait since the last update. The vast majority of users do no have 4K+ monitors, and even some that do run software at 1080P instead. While I agree that long term it makes sense for the future, it is also asking the user base to pay for something they don't need. Hopefully the pricing model makes it no-brainer territory.

That is literally the only one that might make sense. That said, I'm not quite sure what it offers that some of the competition doesn't have. EX. Melda or Metric AB that some of us would already have.

Interesting - same circuit as the better known counterpart the Supro Thunderbolt. But I guess that wouldn't make it sound as esoteric. I get my Supro in the box tones from this on TONEX, but hope they also get a ThunderBolt specifically eventually: https://www.amalgamcaptures.com/product-page/spro-dual-txe

Well we know they have re-used processing codes on some other plugins based on some tests that youtubers have done. No clue about this one though.

While I'm not going to get it, I personally think it makes sense for them to create a bunch of the "standard" issue plugins in the BX_ format that match the UI they started around BX_Limiter. This gives it a more modern take - even if the end result is nothing new. It seems the primary approach is the subscription route - so these are just building up their own ecosystem - not as much intended to be hot sellers as individual purchases out of the gate.

I'd expect no less for a 1 knob plugin, upon release. ?

IK Multimedia AmpliTube Mesa Boogie 2 for $49.99
Brian Walton replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
I'd rather have a real capture of it for less money https://www.sadites.com/product-page/ik-multimedia-tonex-c-tweed-ultimate-tone-models-boogie-cali-tweed-6v6-2-20 He also has a free clean preset on the site https://www.sadites.com/product-page/amplitube-5-cali-tweed-clean-free-preset -
I'd agree this one isn't worth the gigs of installs if you only have a a couple of the T-Racks. But once you own pretty much all of it (thanks to group buys) it becomes a lot easier to accept the crazy install size. This is free and also surprising capable depending on what needs to be done: https://www.meldaproduction.com/MStereoExpander

Yeah, I have quite a few of them myself, but I have also found reliability isn't always 100% with the vst3 versions across all daws. There are just a handful I run into like this, the butterfly which must also use the same code for some of the EQ layout also has some of this issue. For bread and butter like EQ, Comp, and reverb...I value reliability. Toneboosters has a great no time out demo feature, worth spending time with it. I like the interface and UI but think the Three Body EQ sounds a little better when pushed. If it sounded as good I'd use it over the 3BT one

I had issues with the vst3 version not allowing nodes to be added or adjusted on some computers with Cakewalk. Id go for TDR Nova, Melda EQs, Toneboosters EQ4 as affordable alternatives. The latter doesn't go on sale but the first two do, and they both also have very capable free versions. You can use izotope without the AI in the free one. Or buy a forever 29 from someone and grave the three body technology EQ

Re-Activation needed after just 18 days ?
Brian Walton replied to TracingArcs's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
There is one and it has been up for many months - it is called the Beta (but the area only shows up for those on the Beta, not just those who got an early release version apparently). As for the OP, I've also noticed that CbB now has an annoying short (less than 6 month) activation requirement that is clearly different than what the stated interval is supposed to be. Nor does it let you re-activate it you are whim and then go offline for 6 months when convenient for the end user. Major step back from the good old days with zero prompts to re-register. -
Yes, woops. Corrected post. Download speeds were fine when I tried it after your post yesterday on my end.

That fanatical bundle also posted has the same thing. Guessing it is intentional, but would also be curious to know for sure. -

I like resolve but they really need to work on optimization in the free version. Needs a powerful machine to even work on content I created 10+ years ago with Premiere Pro CS6 on a 15+ year old machine. -

Yes, I think I saw more about the Video side, but revenue was hurting over all and makes me wonder if they will streamline offerings across teh board. Ex. Sound Forge obviously has more than 1 tier of product.
