I'd agree this one isn't worth the gigs of installs if you only have a a couple of the T-Racks. But once you own pretty much all of it (thanks to group buys) it becomes a lot easier to accept the crazy install size. This is free and also surprising capable depending on what needs to be done: https://www.meldaproduction.com/MStereoExpander

Yeah, I have quite a few of them myself, but I have also found reliability isn't always 100% with the vst3 versions across all daws. There are just a handful I run into like this, the butterfly which must also use the same code for some of the EQ layout also has some of this issue. For bread and butter like EQ, Comp, and reverb...I value reliability. Toneboosters has a great no time out demo feature, worth spending time with it. I like the interface and UI but think the Three Body EQ sounds a little better when pushed. If it sounded as good I'd use it over the 3BT one

I had issues with the vst3 version not allowing nodes to be added or adjusted on some computers with Cakewalk. Id go for TDR Nova, Melda EQs, Toneboosters EQ4 as affordable alternatives. The latter doesn't go on sale but the first two do, and they both also have very capable free versions. You can use izotope without the AI in the free one. Or buy a forever 29 from someone and grave the three body technology EQ

Re-Activation needed after just 18 days ?
Brian Walton replied to TracingArcs's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
There is one and it has been up for many months - it is called the Beta (but the area only shows up for those on the Beta, not just those who got an early release version apparently). As for the OP, I've also noticed that CbB now has an annoying short (less than 6 month) activation requirement that is clearly different than what the stated interval is supposed to be. Nor does it let you re-activate it you are whim and then go offline for 6 months when convenient for the end user. Major step back from the good old days with zero prompts to re-register. -
Yes, woops. Corrected post. Download speeds were fine when I tried it after your post yesterday on my end.

Humble Bundle - Vegas Pro Collection (worst deal yet)

That fanatical bundle also posted has the same thing. Guessing it is intentional, but would also be curious to know for sure. -

I like resolve but they really need to work on optimization in the free version. Needs a powerful machine to even work on content I created 10+ years ago with Premiere Pro CS6 on a 15+ year old machine. -
Humble Bundle - Vegas Pro Collection (worst deal yet)

Yes, I think I saw more about the Video side, but revenue was hurting over all and makes me wonder if they will streamline offerings across teh board. Ex. Sound Forge obviously has more than 1 tier of product. -
Humble Bundle - Vegas Pro Collection (worst deal yet)

That is sad. Marketing on the site seems different - as it seems like there was talk about going forward with Vegas but killing off other products in the stable. I personally use VIDEO PRO X series instead of Vegas. -
Previous releases usually state expected over 4GB after unpacking. This is arguably the only software that I don't care that it is that absurd. I do delete the installers though that are close to 2GB as those add up with all these frequent updates.

Hopefully not a sign of things to come.

Are you feeding it MIDI for this task? I'd tend to expect something similar as each scale will have overlap of notes and it will then have a "percent" match and the composer may want to use one that isn't the highest percent match especially if you are looking at a progression that doesn't fit neatly across all of them.
-
Yes, 3.0 will be a paid upgrade. Not even trying v2 is sad. One of the only VSTs I think is actually worth the money (perhaps more valuable to someone like myself with decades of playing guitar but limited keyboard use)
-
Honestly both worth it. ?

Sadly can't mix with digital products in cart - so makes padding the cart difficult without buying hardware I don't need.
-
Was about to pull the trigger but $16 US shipping is excessive. Have to think about it (Have two of the full size ones already)

Just buy the pedal and a whole bunch of 3rd party packs and then throw the other software in the trash can. Pedal give you the physical pedal plus Max. I argue that you don't need max, but that also assumes you buy 3rd party packs which is going to add up to real money. The problem with max is that IKM didn't capture each amp using the same cab and mic combo across the gain range so you are left with random captures of an amp. The difference between ToneX and everything else is realism of sound and feel of a micd up rig combined with the ecosystem of both hardware and software that sound the same. It is just amp, reverb and comp...no other effects chains. SE vs Max is the number of amp and profiles you get from IKM but either give you the ability to import from others or create your own. Lots of great free captures but paid packs (or capturing your own gear) is where ToneX really comes to life. IKM created great tech, but could have used a different approach to the captures they made in house. If you have jam points use them to get the pedal is my advice. And if you really only work in the box, getting AXE solo on sale which comes with SE would be the other deal.

There isn't any political reference to actually edit.

Melodyne is used a ton instead. ?

Looks good too, and resizable. I expect I'll actually use this one unlike most freebies.

As I logged into my account to grab this one also noticed a few recent updates for other products I own. Electric Matter - Feb 2024 LDC2 Compander - Mar 2024 Pre X7 - Feb 2024

Terrible. I've got 2 of them but this kind of thing confirms my suspicion that IKM really has some growing to do on the physical guitar product front. They feel well built, but you also have to account for the fact that these things are meant to take some abuse - being stepped on, tripped over, etc.
