MixBox is a bit mysterious to me in the sense that if you have most IK plugins in their TRacks form why would you want them again in the form of MixBox? There is probably something I am missing and need to research this a little more... Edit: But I can really see what someone new to IK could gain from this incredible collection!

Well, one positive thing than hasn't been said yet about the group buy: In addition to what a great bargain it is... this thread is worth its gold in entertainment value and wouldn't exist without it! ?

For anybody that did not do the calculation yet. With the level the group buy is at now, 6 for the price of one. If you entered say at the $200 level, the price of each plugin is now $33.33. And if you are a returning IK customer and did the gear credit + jam points thing to get the price of admission down to $112, the price of each plugin ends up being $18.66! Outstanding price for such great plugins! Now, tell me, that if you saw any of these plugins/package at that price you would not simply jump on it? The only difference here is that you need an outlay of cash up front instead of piece wise. So, what are you waiting for!!!! ? Oh, and if you entered say at the $100 level, chop those prices by half!

I did my test with the emulators at their default position, which is last in the Pro Channel. But it was the only thing I was using from the PC anyway, all other effects where VSTs. I also left the controls at their default, since it already added enough to my ears that way. The effect is cumulative, that's why I didn't see the point of this at first. If you put it on a single track, listen to it even in isolation, you can't hear much change let alone feel its worth it at all, unless you drive it very hard maybe. It makes a more positive effect when used subtly everywhere. If you do your test please let us know the outcome! Edit: since the PC comes before VSTs, this means that my test makes the console emulator the first thing that audio goes through. This means that if gain staging is not performed well, you might not hit the emulator at the best volume. My understanding at least... Edit2: I use it on all individual track and on all busses except the main bus. Why not the main bus? because it is not there by default. You can add it there too though.

Not to worry it can take a beating and live through it. I know, I have done it many times before!? I'll just not feed my kids for a while, it's a good thing for them they are not living here anymore! ? Seriously, I have played enough with AT5CS and needed to get the full thing! I am a guitar player and AT is my go to amp sim. The TRacks plugins are also important since I mix my bands stuff. The keyboard instruments comes last, but anything IK is always great stuff. Well I decided to do some double dipping. Although I knew that I would for a while! ? I got a second entry at the 200$ level by getting Amplitube 5. I was gonna limit myself and just do SE, but the 200$ level is better for the other stuff I'll get. Thanks to this forum and the good folks at IK (that's you @Peter - IK Multimedia ! ?) my wallet isn't safe! But I will have the chance to hear the new VIR tech in action! ? After my brain relaxed and I was able to figure out the gear credit/custom shop thing you guys where talking about a few pages back, it was a little more wallet friendly than expected.
