  1. And miss all the challenge of doing it myself! You take all the fun out of group buys! ?
  2. The suspense is killing me! ? Even my wife is asking where the group buy is at! ? But that's probably sarcastic and probably means: "Hey, did you just refresh that Group Buy counter page yet again!" ?
  3. Thanks mibby, this one is different and seems a very interesting concept. I'll have to give it a try!
  4. I agree yes, you will get great help in this forum for the best possible deals. I sure have. You got help from some of the best here. I would have gladly helped if I had seen a reply to my response in the GB thread. If you re-read my post you will understand that I was genuinely sad to hear your distress. I really thought you had left never to return. I am just glad everything turned out fine. Now, we just need to convinced you to get in for a second buy so we can make it over the 10000 tier to get an extra month! ?
  5. I am glad you didn't give up! In the other thread when you said you had given up I felt bad, honestly. This forum should not deter anyone from a good sale. I hear what you are saying about the complication of gear credits, jam points etc. and respect yours and everyone else's opinion on this. But, like I responded to you in the group thread, buying at the shown price is fine and would still yield a great group buy deal. Going the convulated way is just to get the best possible deal, nothing else. Save a few bucks. Its akin to shopping around for the best price possible for say a TV and then searching for coupons for the store, if they exist, to bring a price even lower. Some like to spend the time doing these research, some simply don't care to spend the time and pay retail is fine for them. This forum has been a great source of info on this, and many other deals, and it did make my head hurt trying to figure this one out at first. ? When I did understand it, I was glad for the knowledge it gave to save me a few bucks. But it's this forum, and other forums, that are raking our brains with how this deal works! Which btw I am very grateful for, not complaining. Lets be honest, IK never made it mandatory to use these methodes of bringing down the price! They just offer deals, like many other businesses, and its up to us to use them or not. And be ready to understand how they work. We may agree or disagree on how they setup their business model, but we always have the choice of foregoing the deals if it does not suit us. As for the support experience you have gotten, its not ideal I agree. Maybe they are overwelmed with this GB, but its not an excuse. And its not only a waste of time for you, but for them also. If it helps, from this forum I have seen many positive post about IK's support. I never had to deal with support yet so I can't offer personal experience and hope you have better luck next time.
  6. Oh yes we will Will you guys make up your minds! ?
  7. Exactly! I was drawn to the orange side of the force when IK gave away the Tiny Terror! Great crunch sound with good mids that come through the mix. I love it and the name of the amp reminds me of my 2 year old granddaughter! ? The Orange pack is high on my list of freebies!
  8. I think I'll reserve getting the brickwall only if the GB gets into so many freebies that I have exhausted other choices. The stealth should probably be enough for me.
  9. Quick question. If I get the T-Racks Stealth Limiter, is there any reason to also get the Brickwall Limiter? Does the stealth do everything the brickwall does and more?
  10. If you mean without any measurement mic, no, not at all. If you mean without ARC's own mic, yes you can take your measurement with another measurement mic.
  11. Geez! I was looking at the ARC info. I should have looked at the mic info instead it seems! ?‍♀️ Thanks! At least now I know that if I decide to buy more speakers and start mixing in 5.1 and 7.1 I need to point the mic upwards! ?But I have enough of hard time with stereo, so no chance! ?
  12. If it is of interest to anyone, I have tried the UMIK-1 USB reference mic with ARC 3 and was able to make it work using ASIO4ALL. No heresy here, I used the trial version of ARC3 until I get the real deal when the GB closes! ? I haven't done a full calibration, just checked that the mic could be detected by ARC. I guess I will install ASIO4ALL to do the calibration and remove it afterwards. The UMIK-1 comes with two calibration files. A default one and a 90 degree one. I assume it is if you are pointing the mic forward or upward. I wonder which way I should point the mic for best results in ARC3? ?
  13. Dang, as a guitar player that's what I hoped! ?
  14. 2925 to go before a one month extension!
  15. Just woke up to: 7 freebies! Way to go groupies! ?
  16. Anybody remember the other times the group buy was extended, was a day, an hour, a minute before the end? How much advance notice do they usually give?
  17. Welcome back to Sonar Cakewalk and welcome to the forum. No effusive praise from me other than: what took you so long! ?
  18. These are great ideas. I never knew about Offset mode, l'll have to look it up! A way I do it, which has its drawbacks but works. When I draw the automation, I use the volume of the last plugin of my fx chain instead of the volume fader for automation. That way it leaves the volume fader for overall volume adjustment. I never tried it, but I assume you could still do it by copying your current automation lane to a new one controlling the output volume of a plugin. A big drawback of this method: you don't see the fader's movement anymore....
  19. Yes, really, don't we all want to celebrate IK's 25th in style with the full 25 freebies, nothing less? We owe to them! I would be so sad for IK if we didn't make it. ?
