I did warn about number 13 and that IK should just skip ahead a couple of tiers!!! ?
-
Me too, but my hearing is bad and I didn't understand what he was saying, so I went ahead with my choices! ? But seriously, when the number went high enough, I'm in twice, that I could pick all I really wanted without really needing to choose what I left on the table, was the turning point for me. Being a guitar player probably makes it easier, there is less collections items for Amplitube than there are for keyboard stuff. I do have a midi keyboard and did pickup SampleTank, Syntroniks, Sampletron and BX3, but that should be enough to hold me over until the next GB! ?? Now, for next freebies, I'll simply add to my T-Racks collection which is already pretty well stacked!

Ran into this last night. @mibby : the backing tracks were done with MODO drums and MODO bass and could give you a sense of what MODO drum can sound. For me, that likes the Gilmour sound, it is one of the best demonstration of these IK stuff! The sound he achieves with Amplitube is amazing! And the backing track is simple but effective and convincing. Of course, it all starts with someone who plays well! He is/was the guitarist for 'Australian Pink Floyd' show.

If you have already bought IK products over $99, got in at the $200 level and you have the MODO drum crossgrade offered to you, that is all you need to get the full MODO drum. That is what I did. Don't waste a freebie on SE, it is not needed.

I should soon start to annonce loosers to the 'guess the number of freebies' contest! Which loosing is a good thing because you will have more freebies than you thought possible! ? But we still need a few more freebies for that...
-
Ok, I'll better you guys, 160! And it ain't my last offer!
-
Maybe IK was smart and bought stocks in drive companies! ?
-
And you thought the Group Buy was all about free stuff!!!
-
Yes! Already doing this and copying to a backup network drive. This GB is really drive space intensive! ?

Yesterday I installed Syntronik deluxe. There was an option to download and install all at once, but I also got individual synth entry right in IK Product Manager to install each individually. I kind of hoped there was something similar for SampleTank.
-
Thanks! I am fine with doing manual steps to achieve this. Only download first and then install only the ones I need. Got it!

Yes, that was my understanding. The functionnality is the same to convert to midi. Since you can 'see' the polyphonic notes in Assistant, it has already the info to convert to midi. What Studio bring, as far as polyphony goes, is the possibility to edit the notes. Which you don't need in the task you are doing.

Quick questions about SampleTank. I am really on the fence on picking up this one as a freebie. The reason is disk space, 100GB is a lot. I am a guitarist, not a keyboard player, but I would certainly use some of the sounds, probably through my bands keyboard player's playing them. Can you install sounds separately, not installing some that you don't care for to save space? There seems to be a lot of sounds I wouldn't need, for example guitar sounds and probably many others! Especially if I get other packages like B-3X, Sampletron and maybe even Miroslav CE.

(not a deal) AmpliTube 5.1 update available
Jacques Boileau replied to Peter - IK Multimedia's topic in Deals
Hey, they have to figure out how to make money after this incredible group buy! ? -
True! I forgot that and I have I'm as 21 freebies in my list! ?I'll correct that right away!
-
Who's counting anyway! ?
-
That would be an awesome surprise considering how this tier was going!
-
That's a good thing! Because it is too late in the game. I ain't accepting any changes in the 'guess the final freebie count' game! ?
-
Yep, going stronger! Maybe some news about the GB made it's way to potential buyers on social networks...
-
Couldn't agree more!
-
I know. I just couldn't pass up teasing after the phrase 'asking for a friend' was used for real for once. ?
-
I have assistant, tried it and it worked for me. I created an instrument track and dragged the audio from a guitar track to it. Melodyne converted it to midi notes. I used the Polyphonic decay algo. The results were rather poor though. It probably depends on how complicated the guitar track is.
-
Yeah, right... ? Seriously, ALC does have a good way to do this.
