First, play with what you have in there. Just the starting included gear is already quite good. Try to figure out what sounds you are missing or would like to have better than what's already there for your playing style. For example if crunch sounds are not to your liking, maybe the orange pack would be a good addition. If it's the cleans or slightly clean that your looking for maybe the Fender packs would be great for you. Personal favorites of mine are the Fender and Orange packs for guitar and SVX for bass. And probably because I haven't tried the others yet! ? But I want them all!!!! ?

Not a derail! Great input for anyone thinking of jumping in the GB. ? Compared to other of the tracks comment we have done here, yours is helpful! I will add this pack to my freebies list!
-
Yep, I also got Satch for the Rockman. Instant great memories. The distortion sound is the Boston sound of course, but can be adapted a lot with other gear. My Rockman gear is also in dire need of TLC. ? The one in AT5 should last forever. ?

Nope, it was the second freebie at 2000. The first freebie was at 0. If, like me, you got in as soon as it started, you would have received you first freebie even if there were just a few entries. That's what happened to me. I was in when there were like 20 entries or so.

This will do a great job I am sure. It comes with a calibration file. Check if the price is right for you. It is from a Canadian store near Montreal. https://solen.ca/products/electronics/test-equipment/dayton-audio-emm-6-electret-measurement-microphone/

Ah, Am, what a key!

Sorry @Peter - IK Multimedia I didn't want to start another discussion about the tiers, but it seems I did! ? Anyhow, I feel we are already in such crazy deal territory with where we are at, it doesn't matter that much anymore. I know I will have more than enough stuff to occupy the long Canadian winter up ahead! ?
-
That is true by assuming the tier will remain at 1000 each, but that is not the case.

Well if I try it I get: ... Buy 1 Get 20 Free* when 20,000 registrations are reached Buy 1 Get 21 Free* when 21,000 registrations are reached Buy 1 Get 22 Free* when 22,000 registrations are reached Buy 1 Get 23 Free* when 23,000 registrations are reached Buy 1 Get 24 Free* when 24,000 registrations are reached So 24 free + the one you have to buy = 25 for the price of 1 and it is reached at 24,000 registration... if we ever get there.
-
You are dang right! Back to 20 for Peter! ? If this group buy has even Peter mixed up, no wonder why so many others were... just saying... ? @Peter - IK MultimediaBut... but... that means that the phrase on the GB page: "And so on, up to our goal of 25,000 participants, and 25 titles for the price of 1!" is actually wrong! It is 24,000 participant for the max of 25 for the price of one! 24 freebies is the max you can have since you have to buy one to get in! No because it changed to 21 a few minutes before 11. The next flip should be around 11h55...
-
I guess all the food talk has drawn people over here and made them hungry for plugins! It is true what they say: "You activate a musician GAS syndrome through his stomach!"
-
Double whoah! Down to 21 until next freebie! Lightning fast! Some people figured out how crazy a deal this is!
-
You are dyslexic or what? 116! ? Edit: Woah! It just changed to 71! That's quick! Might get a new freebie today!
-
You realize that 25 for the price of 1 means: you pay for 1 and get 24 freebies? This promotion stops at 24 freebies. ? But we all make that mistake. I'll put you down for 24 then. ?

Just took a small break from this thread to give some of my new IK software a try! ARC 3: Was able to easily create a profile using my USB UMIK-1 calibration mic. I played my latest mix through it and it is very different than without it, in a good way. My bedroom studio is ok, but not ideal. I have some acoustic panelling but no bass trap. ARC tamed the bass very well! Lurssen Mastering Console: Probably the easiest way to master and sounds great! To be able to automate changes like adding more push in chorus is very cool. Comment to IK: In the next version of Lurssen, think about a way to add ARC, for those that have it, to the standalone version. These two should be able to go together somehow!

Like I stated many pages ago, but why stop the fun? ?
-
That is a safe bet for IK, it won't cost them much! 25 for the price of 1 is actually a maximum of 24 freebies... ? But I wouldn't mind an Espresso machine though... ☕?
-
Ok, 2 post of 42, so let's say 42 divided by 2 equals 21... Ok, I'll put you down for 21 then! ?? No need to thank the fish! ?
-
It truly is! It shows how far we/IK have gone! Quite fun in a good way actually.
-
Funny thing, in your account's promotions page, if you click on the 25th anniversary GB icon on the left, to basically go back to the group buy main page, you end up on a previous GB main page! ?I was kinda confused there for a sec. Another era for sure!
-
Hopefully, everything went well. Good luck to her.

There are very few companies that drop by this forum let alone interact with us as much as you do! And not only when there is an IK GB! You may be the only one from IK here, but not the only one from the industry! The time spent here has made everyone more aware and certainly more interested in IK stuff! IK has gained from your involvement here, no doubt about that.

oh, I think you've stated before that IK has offices in Florida but you where not living in Florida, my bad memory is to blame. I just checked in Google Map and from Montreal to Savanah it is just an 18 hours drive! Ouch! ?
