To be honest, sounds a bit like the audition stage for a talent competion. Can we give Synth V voices singing lessons? Agreed. But I think the isolated vocal track sounded best when there were multiple voices, so if I buy this I'm pretty sure it will stay in the background and do a great job there. But we'll see. Yeah, some of the YouTube stuff is a bit... rough. My hope is that Solaria didn't end up sounding so good by sheer luck and instead Eclipsed Sounds know what they are doing and chose Eric Hollaway for reasons other than availability and convenience. A quick search for bass singers on YouTube brings up some really good sounding alternatives.

Well, that's all the sales pitch I need. Has anyone tried the jazz kits? Or found the Jazz & Funk expansion on any of the reseller sites?

The voice doesn't fit the music at all, but what do you mean with the autotuning? In the demo song it sounded like the voice was sometimes auto of tune, but I'm pretty sure that was just... let's say a choice the composer made. The demo songs are poorly chosen and do nothing to showcase the voice, which is a pity. But from what I can hear I like the tone of the voice and and I think it will work well as a backing singer to add some color to the vocals, especially on ballads or some mellower songs. I have no plans to use it as a lead singer anyway. Solaria alone costs $89, so if I bought them both I would pay just $38.50 for Asterian. I think it's a good price and an acceptable risk to take for a potentially useful voice.

Hmm... I wonder if there has been some kind of glitch with my subscription? I seem to attract those. My order confirmation says "1x Beat - E-Paper Abonnement", but they actually sent me a paper letter (with my name misspelled...) to confirm the subscription and on Falkemedia's website the delivery method is "Deutsche Post". I never received any account info to access my digital subscriptions and my email/password for falkemedia-shop.de doesn't work at falkemedia-abo.de. I haven't received the physical magazines but I do get emails from Marco when a new issue is out, and on those emails there is a link that takes me to Plugins-Samples. The letter they sent me had my subscription number and I used that to access all the content on Plugins-Samples. In your shoes I'd contact Falke Media or Marco and ask for the subscription number or if they can allow you to access Plugins-Samples. The last time I subscribed to the digital version of Beat it included access to Plugins-Samples, but I can't remember if I had to jump through any hoops for it.

Thanks for the info! $127.50 for two voice banks sounds reasonable, though I think I would prefer if they were both female voices. On the other hand, extra low male voice might be useful, too. I'll have to sleep on it.

Omega Bundle €29.97 Alpha Bundle €29.97 Classic FXs Bundle €40.30 Innovation Bundle €40.30 Phase Mutant €19.36 I bought the Omega Synth not too long ago and paid almost as much as the full bundle. Thanks for the tip. I didn't know you could do that. However, I just tried that with Cinematrix and I was a bit disappointed. Original sample folder size is 2.98 GB and after compression it's 2.21 GB, or 74% of the original size. I tried converting the samples with Flac (level 5) and got them down to 1.46 GB, or 49% of the original, which is what I was expecting from Kontakt's compression. I had similar results with other libraries I tested. Still, I suppose 25% less is better than nothing and even small amounts add up with time.

Soundiron Black Friday Sale: 50% Off all Products through November 27th!
pseudopop replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
Oh, right. Those guys. I bought the whole Intimate threesome just a few of days ago, but I already forgot about it (it's been a busy week.). At about $35 for each it was a no-brainer. I have thrown a lot of money into the pit that is 8dio, so no referral discounts for me, unfortunately. But thank you for reminding me that I actually do have something of a chamber orchestra. For the time being, I think I'll keep Hyperion on the "maybe" section of my Black Friday list. The YouTube walkthroughs sound better (edit: much better) than SoundCloud demos, so maybe there's something in there for me. I know @Fleer likes them. -

Any thoughts on Hyperion Strings Elements and Hyperion Brass Elements? Strings is advertised as a chamber string library and I'm missing one, but I'd expect a chamber orchestra to have a more intimate/close sound than what I'm hearing on the demos, and it sounds a bit synthy too. It might go well with some kind of hybrid music, though I'm not sure if it's loud enough for that. Brass sounds synthy too, but not in a good way. I'm actually contemplating buying Solid State Symphony from Indiginus where the whole point is synthy sound, but it sounds far better, IMO. -
I think these are the lowest prices I have ever seen for Talos and Cerberus, so I guess it depends on what you're looking for.
-
https://www.audioimperia.com/collections/all I think I'll upgrade my Nucleus Lite to the full version and pick up Talos for $99, because you can never have too much brass.
-
When that "not to be missed" deal was on, I listened to all the demos I could find trying to figure out why people are so excited about these libraries. I still don't understand what's so special about them to justify the high price. I guess you need a more refined taste than what I have to appreciate them, or have some very specific needs.
-
I know. I was referring to the discussion that followed when abacab mentioned they have a "need for digital darkroom tools".

Normally $99. Cyber Season sale, no idea how long it lasts. https://narothaudio.com/products/alloy-vol-i I'm not sure if this is good or bad. I just ran into this deal while I was looking for more information about Rhythmus (still on sale at APD).

I read "pitch sale" and got all excited. Has Synthesizer V or Solaria ever been on sale? I'm planning to buy them but I think I'll wait to see if there are any Black Friday deals.

50% off Arturia V Collection 9, FX Collection 3, and Pigments:
pseudopop replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
My Compendium price was also €269 and now they're offering V9 Collection for €149 and FX Collection for €99. I'm actually surprised that the price of V9 is that low, because I only own Analog Lab V, Pigments and Augmented Strings. I'd say this is still a better deal for you, because soundbanks are quite often 50% off AND you can pick the ones you want. But do you need it? Personally, I'm on the fence. (Of course, the bestest deal was to buy Zebra 2 last week, because I've heard that it is the only synth you will ever need (except for Zebra 3). ) -
Still the same glitch for me, even with a different browser.
-
The site is glitching on me. Created an account, confirmed email, tried to login, "invalid email or password", try to reset password, "email doesn't exist", try to create an account, "account already exists". Why is everything so difficult?

SONUSCORE - Origins Flash Sale - 70% Off for 48H
pseudopop replied to Kreveta Puket's topic in Deals
Oh, you're absolutely right. Looks like I actually bought the vol. 1-5 bundle back in April 2020 and downloaded it in May 2020, hence the confusion. Sorry, my bad. Edit: Still, I paid €9.90 for it. -

Also, the vol. 1-5 bundle was $9.90/€9.90 just six months ago. Edit: No it wasn't. -
Found the answer myself on the Cherry Audio forums:

I'm guessing that if I buy these I won't get the Voltage Modular modules too?
