  1. That BFD forum is pretty depressing to read. But if you have bought BFD3, it looks like you're eligible for a free expansion pack as "a gift for migrating to the InMusic servers". Your choices are: Crush Oblivion Horsepower Jazz Noir Metal Snares Details here: BFD3 | Redeeming Your Free Expansion Pack Also, three BFD expansions are available in another form in Chocolate Audio's Drum Particles collection, still available via Audio Plugin Deals for $69. (The counter shows zero but you can still add it to the shopping cart.) It uses Chocolate Audio's own Kontakt instrument, so you are of course missing the BFD interface and all that it brings, but personally I think CA's player looks like it does the basics well enough, if you're not a drummer (YouTube walkthrough). Drum Particles contains: The Black Album ($59 as BFD XP) Modern Retro ($49) Imperial ($49) Contemporary Vintage (not available as a BFD xp, I think)
  2. I think it was on sale when it first came out and a couple of times after that. At the moment you get a free expansion when you buy EZBass, so that's an ~€80 discount right there.
  3. Remember to check the crossgrade prices! For example, if you have Physion you can get SplitEQ much cheaper. If you missed a crossgrade opportunity (that is, paid full price), try contacting Eventide support as soon as possible. They might be able to work out something for you. Speaking from experience, I can say that six three months later is too late.
  4. I believe I have similar uses for strings as you and I too am looking for something dry, but the Virharmonic Cello doesn't sound that wet to me. I'll have to listen to it some more. From what I can remember I agree with you that Tina Guo sounds pretty wet. I listened to the Sonixinema demos on YouTube and the legato sounds pretty good but I wasn't sold on the Contempary Soloist. And to get the same range of expression from Sonixinema's cellos as you get from Bohemian I think you need to buy both Intimate Legato and Contempary Soloists, and that costs you £127 or about €148, the same as Bohemian. Of course, a solid plan B would be to use what I have, like Audio Imperia's Solo or 8dio's Intimate Strings or one of the cheap, simple cellos I've bought. Currently the only naked cello part I have is an intro for a song, other times it's somewhere there buried under everything else, so an additional expensive library would probably be wasted on me. But it does sound so lovely!
  5. This is how I understand it, too. So buying Lite bundle and upgrading to Nucleus (with additional $75) is basically "buy Nucleus, get Areia Lite and Chorus Lite for free". Once you have full Nucleus you can upgrade it to Jaeger for $199. You can't use any of the credit you get from the Lite bundle towards Jaeger. Only Nucleus, Areia or Chorus are valid upgrade paths.
  6. You're in the wrong forum to be saying things like that. We're all like you.
  7. Nucleus is on my list and I have Nucleus Lite, so I already have $79 credit towards the upgrade. I'm still not sure if buying the Lite Bundle would give me an additional $149 credit or if they cancel each other out. I've asked AI a couple of times about it but I guess they're really busy now.
  8. "Up to 60% off." Intimate Strings bundle is 50% off, others look to be mostly 40-50% off. https://www.embertone.com/browser.html
  9. So if I'm missing dedicated solo libraries for Violin and Cello, are these the ones to get instead of, say Tina Guo or Joshua Bell?
  10. "All* plugins". * not the ones you want
  11. https://store.cherryaudio.com/ Looks like there is no further discount for owners of the Rackmodule plugin bundle.
  12. They're actually cheaper than other resellers on the EU side, too (thomann.de). Only €48.
  13. They replied: Well that sucks.
  14. I guess. I think only Falcon expansions might be worth looking at. Most other products have seen better offers earlier this year.
  15. Also available at Best Service for €54, but I'll wait and see how other resellers price these before biting. Bought Vol 3 and two MIDI packs for a total of €57 last year from Time+Space. Vol 3 alone was only €43 (inc. VAT). Those were the days.
  16. I'm still waiting for them to get back to me about an upgrade price from the Omega Synth to the full bundle. I'll decide if I buy any of their plugins after that.
  17. Hey, @Jason Morin there have been some rule changes since your last post. Please see this post: In short, you need to remove the links before someone complains about them. I can post them here. 18. Much better, though I'm still not wowed. At this point I'd much rather hear just some kind of vocal runs or something.
  19. Which ones do you recommend I should take out for a spin?
  20. I paid €49 for it two years ago. I remember it well. It was on sale at JRR for about the same price minus one of the codes, so closer to $45 I think. I wasn't sure if I wanted it, so I waited until the final day of the sale before pulling the trigger, but to my surprise JRR was showing full price. They had ended the sale too soon! I shot them an email, waited until the last minute and since I didn't hear anything from them I bought the library from BestService for €49. The next day JRR replied to me, saying that "it's on sale now" or something to that effect. Great. Thank you. Well done. Easily the worst day of my life.
  21. Tina Guo Complete Bundle for $149 sounds somewhat reasonable.
  22. I didn't know what a Wurli was before I joined this forum and now I want one. Thanks a lot. I picked number 1 for the bite but on lower volume I preferred number 3. Number 2 sounded broken. Good idea! So many channel strips have been released lately that we should start a club for those too. I'm just not sure what to call it...
  23. Am I stupid or is the Dark Farm expansion the only one with a list of the actual instruments included? Every other page just says something generic like "it has some toms". Do the expansions come with a manual? Edit: In case anyone else is interested the included instruments can be found here: https://www.fxpansion.com/support/faq/ Edit 2: But not for every expansion, it seems.
