  1. I just glanced through the responses - when you select the midi track and right click Freeze, is Freeze Synth highlighted?
  2. It's been a while since I've scanned my plugins so I just rescanned - for vst3s I got this message - The following files appeared to be plugin files, but failed to load correctly: WaveShell1-VST3 14.2_x64.vst3 My waves plugins are in the list of plugins and they load ok although I haven't tried running them. For vst2s - The following files encountered fatal errors during validation: PSP SpringBox.dll The following files appeared to be plugin files, but failed to load correctly: WaveShell1-VST 14.2_x64.dll, Waves StudioRack for OBS.dll, Absynth 5.dll, Absynth 5 Stereo.dll, Absynth 5 FX.dll, Absynth 5 FX Surround.dll, iZVocalSynth2.dll, iZRX6VoiceDenoiser.dll, iZRX6HumRemoval.dll, iZRX6Declipper.dll, iZRX6Declicker.dll, iZOzone8Elements.dll Again, everything but PSP SpringBox is listed and loads. Just a heads up that there might be a couple plugins that cause problems ...
  3. I have it. I use it for practicing. Live 11 reports 370 some plugins for vst3 and most of them work. The nexus plugin manager reports problems with psp springbox vst2, amplitube 5 vst2, and camelspace which is only vst 2. See the reply below. There are 8 scenes per preset and presets are callable from midi so it seems feasible to use live. There is also a plugin, so it could be used inside DAWs to create complex fx setups.
  4. Thanks for the heads up. I've had my eye on a semi hollow body for a while. I got the one that Tom has a pic of above. It plays well and is surprisingly good for the price. This is the first guitar I've bought over the net. The intonation is a bit off, but I'll wait a week for it to adjust to the humidity or lack thereof before I intonate it. This has the wrong jack plate on it - it doesn't sit flush, but not a big deal in this price range.

  6. Zynapic's Pitchmap does this for a single instrument. I've used it with e. guitar. It says it's real-time, but there's a noticeable delay. https://www.zynaptiq.com/pitchmap/
  7. I've had hp in the past, it's fine and still running, but they limit what you can access in the bios. I currently have an MSI gaming laptop, and it allows a lot of tweaking in the bios. I suspect most name brands should be fine, but I always check reviews and ratings ...
  8. Have you optimized the new computer for audio? https://www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/articles/pc-optimization-guide-for-windows-10/
  9. I bought an MSI gaming laptop three years ago and haven't had any problems with it. I use it as a secondary DAW, I have a tower as my main DAW. The laptop is also used for general computing and surfing the web. It has an intel processor and nvidia graphics. It's part of their Crosshair series. My DAW is from Jim, I recommend his products as well.
  10. Thanks for pointing that out. I broke down and bought an iLok dongle last year. All I have on it are UAD plugins. I can ditch the dongle and free up a slot on a switched usb hub,
  11. Try Blue Cat's Connector - https://www.bluecataudio.com/Products/Product_Connector/
  12. I've upgraded a laptop and DAW. On both machines I had to disable Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power in device manager -> USB controllers -> ... -> Power Management after the upgrade. Only matters if you have a USB IF.
  13. MeldaProduction has MOscillator - https://www.meldaproduction.com/MOscillator It's part of their free fx bundle. There's a sale on if you want to get rid of the old nag ...
  14. Have you tried both plugged into the same socket or using a surge protector or extension cord with multiple outlets? That should solve a ground loop.
  15. ASIO only supports a single driver, unless a manufacturer designs it for multiples. Uncheck ASIO4ALL and you should be able to select UAD.

  17. Disable the 2i2 monitor and do you hear the guitar thru TH3 when you play? Are you using an amp or fx? Is the amp or fx turned on? Is TH3 bypassed?
  18. Fripp and Eno used a lot of delay. Originally two tape decks spooled together. Many repeats. If you have delays with long delay times you have a start. Seven to ten seconds of delay time. I like Boz's Imperial Delay. If you don't have it, it's likely on sale. And long (ambient) reverb. A volume pedal or synth patches that swell. Melda's SuperLooper is nice for ambient stuff. Play sound on sound. I'm not familiar with Biosphere.
  19. It takes time to get a signal from the audio inface into the computer and the DAW. Latency is affected by your audio interface, the drivers it uses, your computer and the software and services running on your computer as well as fx in the DAW. With an average IF with an ASIO driver and a decent computer a person can monitor what is recorded in 8-10 ms which is like standing 10 feet away from an amp or monitor.
  20. I picked up the ruby and dream. Those are nice emulations. Now I'm going to get gas for a couple pedals!
  21. IIRC the original Sonar came with the SFZ Player and that supported soundfont. I setup my PCs by loading Platinum and then CbB and I have SFZ ...
  22. You need to export the audio. The input signal is recorded dry. If you save that there are no fx, export it to apply fx.
  23. If the bass isn't up front, you can also try pitch shifting the guitar down an octave, use a little chorus and a lot of eq.
