  1. Try Blue Cat's Connector - https://www.bluecataudio.com/Products/Product_Connector/
  2. I've upgraded a laptop and DAW. On both machines I had to disable Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power in device manager -> USB controllers -> ... -> Power Management after the upgrade. Only matters if you have a USB IF.
  3. MeldaProduction has MOscillator - https://www.meldaproduction.com/MOscillator It's part of their free fx bundle. There's a sale on if you want to get rid of the old nag ...
  4. Have you tried both plugged into the same socket or using a surge protector or extension cord with multiple outlets? That should solve a ground loop.
  5. ASIO only supports a single driver, unless a manufacturer designs it for multiples. Uncheck ASIO4ALL and you should be able to select UAD.
  6. Have you optimized the computer for audio? https://www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/articles/pc-optimization-guide-for-windows-10/
  7. Disable the 2i2 monitor and do you hear the guitar thru TH3 when you play? Are you using an amp or fx? Is the amp or fx turned on? Is TH3 bypassed?
  8. Fripp and Eno used a lot of delay. Originally two tape decks spooled together. Many repeats. If you have delays with long delay times you have a start. Seven to ten seconds of delay time. I like Boz's Imperial Delay. If you don't have it, it's likely on sale. And long (ambient) reverb. A volume pedal or synth patches that swell. Melda's SuperLooper is nice for ambient stuff. Play sound on sound. I'm not familiar with Biosphere.
  9. It takes time to get a signal from the audio inface into the computer and the DAW. Latency is affected by your audio interface, the drivers it uses, your computer and the software and services running on your computer as well as fx in the DAW. With an average IF with an ASIO driver and a decent computer a person can monitor what is recorded in 8-10 ms which is like standing 10 feet away from an amp or monitor.
  10. I picked up the ruby and dream. Those are nice emulations. Now I'm going to get gas for a couple pedals!
  11. IIRC the original Sonar came with the SFZ Player and that supported soundfont. I setup my PCs by loading Platinum and then CbB and I have SFZ ...
  12. You need to export the audio. The input signal is recorded dry. If you save that there are no fx, export it to apply fx.
  13. If the bass isn't up front, you can also try pitch shifting the guitar down an octave, use a little chorus and a lot of eq.
  14. Does the Korg have a headphone jack? If so, try that. Break your problem down into smaller pieces if you can. Also, midi uses channels, is the keyboard xmitting on the same channel the korg is set to receive on?
  15. Personally, I would record with a DAW, apply a denoiser, and export; then use an editor. I have sound forge, but there are free editors available.
  16. An app, in general, can only connect to 1 ASIO driver at a time. That's why when you connect to an ASIO driver any others are then greyed out.
  17. Is the audio IF the zoom? Do you have win11? If yes to both, did you download the zoom drivers? Win 10 used to dl & install drivers, from my experience Win 11 does not for audio equipment.
  18. Have you researched the problem? I got a new system a couple months ago from Jim Roseberry and haven't had any problems with it. I got a 14700k. From what I've read the bug allows you to configure the chip in such a way that it fries itself. Don't configure it that way. Check that the mb manufacturer has the intel patch and load the latest bios. Intel provided a fix last month and I've seen that there will be another this month.
  19. Yeah, I often have CbB open and YT. In that case I'm switching focus back and forth. I'm using a MOTU M4 and opened CbB, Ableton Live 11 Std, and Sound Forge and ran them all at the same time. I had a file running in SF, a backing track in Live and my guitar coming in an input on CbB. Cool, I've never done that before. I first had CbB and Live with guitar as input and could see the input and output meters in both, but it was hard to say if I was hearing both, but in the test with various things running it was obvious. HTH.
  20. I've seen comments in the Cakewalk forums that some vst3 plugins don't respond to program change. Maybe try a vst2 version if there is one.
  21. Are you using a vst2 plugin?
  22. As Kurre wrote the midi player is likely converting the midi to audio and the sound card is playing the audio. In CbB you need to route midi to an instrument track or external HW that plays midi. Go to yt and search cakewalk midi and find a midi tutorial about CbB. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MIDI
