Gave it another whirl, doing what you suggest (which I had done previously), nothing, nada, zip , works fine here.

No problems with Studio One and Ozone 9 here
-
Larry, maybe you should remove that link ? Following the link gets you a file with cclarry in the name.

Don't know about SONAR issue, I stopped using Platinum before Tape was released, I've never had an issue in Studio One with Tape, either as a normal Plugin or as a Mix Engine FX (Tape Multitrack)

Groove 3 - send Izotope support a request

Yeah a lot of people complain about it. I just press skip or whatever it is and carry on and ignore it like the other things that I dislike about PG products, for me they are more than worth the annoyances I have with PG products, so I just deal with it, no real deal breakers. But I would be super happy if they added/fixed a lot of the things that people complain about, don't think it will happen though, as a lot of these 'issues' have been in all their products since the beginning. They are more like poor design choices than bugs or anything like that, annoying all the same, but still, the BIAS Family is still pretty much all I use, everything else just gathers dust.

Yeah their sales can be pretty much non sales, and also a lot of different options to confuse.

Bias FX 2 - no stereo output in Cakewalk
ensconced replied to Bjarte Alræk's topic in Instruments & Effects
Works fine for me, although I don't use CbB. As you might expect, Mono track - Mono output, Stereo Track - Stereo output -
Bias FX 2 - no stereo output in Cakewalk
ensconced replied to Bjarte Alræk's topic in Instruments & Effects
Maybe a stupid question, but are you using a stereo track? -
Works well as a Mix Engine FX (Tape Multitrack), only have to do a little dance to be able to use it and CTC-1 Pro or the original Console Shaper together as each Mix Engine Fx has only 1 slot,no biggie though.
-
Yes, but they sort of are in the end, because all amps and pedals from Amp and Pedal show up in FX, just the tweakability is left behind, but once you make your tweaks and save amp or pedal they are available in FX, but yes, it would have been nice.

No such issues with BIAS Fx 1 or 2 or BIAS Amp 1 or 2 here, but then I don't use CbB. They all work perfectly here. Apart from various omissions that PG in there wisdom decided to 'omit' (mainly quality of life stuff, but I can over look that most of the time) and a few other issues that don't really effect usage, for me they are the ones I use almost (99.9% of the time) exclusively, and I own (have owned, just gave away all my PA amp sims and PA Guitar related stuff) pretty much everything out there, Helix Native aside, but I hope to get that soon (on sale) to see how it fairs, demos aren't long enough for me, and I like to be able to easily revisit if desired.

Yes, Demo - Auth will work

Finally got a chance to give them a little run through, and I agree, certainly nothing to sneeze at.

?

and perhaps throwing in a quick reference to 'THAT' folder might help? ?

But . . but . . . that is hardly in keeping with the spirit. You could purchase the upgrade AND stick with O8A, now that would be in keeping with the spirit.

Come to papa I think I might pay a little extra and get it from the horses mouth to avoid as best as possible any potential hiccups.

I used, or tried Clonezilla long ago, it may well be better now days, but back then it was failure after failure, grabbed Acronis TI and never looked back. Clonezilla may be free, but just like Linux, it's only free if your time is worth nothing to you ?. Just my opinion and experience of course, YMMV

Yeah I have most of what is available, to be honest I prefer Revalver's ACT Amp Clones, same type of thing, you just need R4 and the ACT Combo module and whatever amp pack (They haven't released one for a long time). Having said that I'm not a great fan of TH-U, just doesn't sound right, boxy or something, can be sorted somewhat with tweaking, but you know. Was a big fan back in the TH2 - early TH3 days, but as new/more amp sims came out, well I just don't use it much anymore, doesn't seem to stop me buying addons for it, although I might be cured, have no desire purchasing the new Vintage Collection 2. I rarely use TH2(3)(-U) or Revalver anymore, even if I do start messing around with them, they always get replaced. If I had my time over again, I would skip TH-U altogether. As for the Choptones stuff, if you have BIAS Amp 1 or 2, most, if not all (plus a lot more) of what they are putting out for TH-U is available for BIAS Amp 1 and 2, and sounds and feels much much better IMO, and then of course also available in BIAS FX1 or 2 depending which versions of Amp and FX you have. If you keep an eye on what they put out for TH-U I'd be willing to bet it follows closely to what is already available for BIAS, could be wrong, but thus far it has. https://www.choptones.com/positive-grid-bias-patches?limit=100 Of course that's just me and YMMV

audio plugin deals 76% OFF: MBundle by MeldaProduction
ensconced replied to Audio Plugin Deals's topic in Deals
If you are just after an impulse loader you could just get Two Notes WOS for cheaper, Free (almost) after the trial period, all you have to do is purchase at least 1 cab from there selection, and then you are set to go. You can just use it like a basic impulse loader and bypass/turn off the extras, EQ, Comp, etc. They have some good quality cabs available, but you can also use 3rd party cabs. https://www.two-notes.com/wall-of-sound I would suggest Kazrog's Recabinet 5, but I don't think it's available for purchase now. There are also many other alternatives, some free, some not. I'll never buy another Melda plug, good quality and all, some unique features and stuff, but the look is just nauseating to me, can't stand looking at them, but that's just me, others love the look. -
Have You Tried BandLab Link Audio Interfaces?
ensconced replied to Jim Fogle's topic in Instruments & Effects
Haven't tried them, or even really thought about it, they are just not up to the task really, I look at them as toys. I think they are mainly aimed at people who use the BandLab app and record with their phones or similar, just a cheap easy way of connecting to their device. I doubt anyone is really going to trade in their current interface for one of these or anything. Azlow3 put it best on the old forums http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3776855
