  1. Actually, it’s a new plugin. Which is why it will take a while before it’s a heavily discounted. If you want or need it, get it now. It’s a good one indeed, it does what it says on the tin. The dev also made MagicAB / MetricAB.
  2. Wow. Loved that place. Good book department too. But I got most of my records from Newbury’s in The Garage. And its sister store in Newbury Street.
  3. Gotta watch out. Shouldn’t say this but Qi got it for $18 during a special anniversary sale in August 2018.
  4. My ladder’s been up for quite some time now.
  5. Oh man, Tower Records in Cambridge. Gone forever. Luckily we still had Newbury’s. And those great dogs in Charlie’s Kitchen. Best dogs ever.
  6. Got some really great deals from the Guitar Center near Berklee, among them a new Alesis Fusion for $500 or so.
  7. 8Dio Claire Alto Flute, without a doubt. Also because I’ve been wanting to play one myself as it goes much lower than my traverso, ZT. But that Claire Alto is so beautiful...
  8. It’s Friday the 13th?
  9. Sounds Nice, ZT, but as a flute player I’m rather careful with flute players. That’s maybe why I have so many strings. Can’t play any
  10. True, it’s good. But with all things iZotope plus Gullfoss (and Intensity) I consider myself covered. Sonible plugins like Frei:raum also help. Anyway, I don’t feel the need to get Soothe to fight unwanted resonances, while I can use the entire Zynaptiq bundle with FabFilter Pro-Q3. (Or, in the words of The Voice:) If they can’t take me there, I won’t get anywhere. It’s up to me and Q3, Q3.
  11. Been looking at this one. Quite special. Will check this weekend.
  12. Hesitated between Gullfoss and Soothe to bring mixing magic and smoother tracks. Opted for the former and have been in mixing heaven ever since. Gullfoss is the best “magicalizer” I know, together with Zynaptiq Intensity.
  13. It’s a great brand, one of T+S’s best IMO.
  14. Indeed. Nimbus is the newer Phoenix, as R4 is the newer R2.
  15. If you want natural reverberation from Exponential, get PhoenixVerb. One may compare it to Valhalla Room, while R2/R4 would be more like Valhalla VintageVerb.
  16. Let’s have a panel of category hoarders to advice us on unmissable deals within the preferred category of their liking. I’d be ready to do this for pianos.
