Yep, worked fine. You just have to hit Activate in your account and then you'll get the NI-serial to register in Native Access.

Got it as well. If this is the 10-year old Carousel at 400Mb then these freebies are getting smaller and smaller. Maybe the second coming will be huge. Edith: it seems this one’s only 147Mb.

But it’s so free ...

All V Collection 8 presets transfer to Analog Lab V. If you don’t have VC8 or any preset banks, your AL5 will have some 2000 presets.

Way too many!

Indeed, and 4000 Analog Lab 4 presets don’t live up to the “current quality standards” of V Collection 8, so they say. The simple fact that some or all of those missing presets are part of the collection renders their explanation meaningless. It’s a marketing scheme, and pretending otherwise isn’t cricket at all.
-
Well, normally Analog Lab holds most if not all of the V Collection’s presets at “current quality standards”. This won’t be the case anymore unless all of a sudden the entire V Collection lost 4000 presets (instead of gaining more). So, if you’re not up to date with your V Collection you won’t enjoy the Analog Lab presets bonanza. Being able to run Analog Lab 4 is not the same as having most if not all V Collection 8 presets at “current quality standards”. At those standards we’ll only get some 2000 until we pay up for V Collection 8. Still quite an issue IMO.

I had AL4 installed and today added AL5. They cohabitate nicely.
-
I’m a fan of opto comps. Anyone using Tone Empire stuff?
-
Also interesting: AL4 had only a few (11 or so) Pigments presets while AL5 has some 160.
-
That’s what I think they did indeed. If you own the full suite then AL5 should allow you to run all presets. Still, not cricket.
-
And AL 1
-
The original Analog Lab had almost 6000 presets as well.
-
Yep. Still, size has grown from 1,4Gb to 2Gb but presets went from 6800 to 2400.
-
Well, well, well. Cheeky Arturia. Got upgraded from Analog Lab 4’s 6500+ presets to Analog Lab V’s 2000+. That’s one third. Serious downgrade.
-
Abso-freak-a-lutely sweet, free Analog Lab V in da house.
-
Still on V4 myself. Might be time to do the same.

If I’m not mistaken, these original Abbey Road plugins went EOL in 2013: TG12413 Limiter, TG Mastering Pack and RS124 Compressor, while the Softube Brilliance Pack (3 EQs: RS127 Rack, RS127 Box, and RS135) survived. And the Waves Abbey Road bundle of course. So there’s still room to add to the latter.

Even worse, last year there were two. Anyway, since Sonokinetic is based in Amsterdam, hit it at 5pm Dutch time.
