Thanks for reminding me Now I have to get that one too. Anyway, the Ravenscroft is really “grand” and plays very nicely. I’m not a fan of Yamaha’s CFX (Garritan) or of a Hamburg Steinway (VSL), though, as I’m sticking with the full sound of an American Steinway, like the Embertone Walker (and the new Pianoteq NY, of course).

And the old ones have been updated.

Ravenscroft still is one the very best sampled grands.

Got the Pro Studio after all. All that morphing and layering is simply wonderful with the entire Pianoteq canvas.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, Matthew. Joshua Bell is pretty amazing indeed. Their Intimate Strings are not at the same level but Embertone said they’re working on an updated version. I didn’t get The Ton either, as I’m not into sampled mallets or harps since I’ve got Pianoteq for that. And paying $100 for Orchestral Swarm I don’t feel justified. But BBCSO is grand.

Apparently it’s 35GB indeed, but that’s for the Pro version. Core gets less.
