I've heard nothing but great things about those and the whole line of the $1,000 or less Gretsch guitars. The one I want is $850 U.S. and it plays like a dream to me. I saw the video of them playing these. They also did a demo of the Acoustisonic which was really good too.

I made them by flip flopping two cassette decks I got at yard sales through a broken Radio Shack mixer my brother was going to throw out and playing/singing along. I just dragged my cassettes out of the basement tonight and was going to transfer some to my DAW as a matter of fact. Kind of depressing to listen to now. LOL.

It depends on their taxable status and if they are considered a publisher or editor. There's a lot of arguing going on about this now in our upper institutions. If I understand it correctly, if you want to be an editor and censor people, you lose your tax exempt status and are then considered a publisher, if I understand it correctly. All of these corporations file under the tax exempt status and therefor can't legally censor anyone ... yet they do. Unfortunately, the people who benefit from that censorship are in control of the part of our government that can do something about it at the moment, so nothing is being done about it. Most people don't realize that it's more important who controls the House and Senate than who is President. And that's just how they like it. Bitchute is the closest I've seen to old school Youtube. I really like it, but I watch 99% of this stuff on my TV and they won't allow Bitchute, Odysee, or any other apps other than Youtube, Netflix, Hulu, etc. etc.. Amazon owns Twitch so if you want to watch Amouranth licking her ear shaped microphones while standing in her kiddy pool in a bikini, you'll have to get an Amazon Firestick to watch it on your big screen. FYI ... it's not worth the cost of the Firestick. A. J. got banned from Youtube and went to Bitchute. He's 75% entertainment and 25% actual info. I can't take him for very long but what terrifies me is, almost every wild claim he's made has actually turned out to be true. There was a huge one just announced in the hidden news cycle just a couple months ago that even I thought was too far fetched to be true but it was and it was horrifying. So why was he censored? For speaking the truth? Makes you wonder. Why was Dr. Disrespect banned from Twitch? He was the #1 gaming streamer. Now everyone is leaving Twitch and joining him on Youtube. They just lost their #2 gaming streamer yesterday and he was streaming with Doc today for the first time in over a year. They had larger viewer numbers than they ever had on Twitch. Their #1 gaming streamer said he has a huge announcement coming. I'm sure he's jumping too. People aren't stupid. You can't keep censoring and cancelling things you don't like while so many far worse things are allowed to go on. People won't stand for it, here. It's not in our DNA. Anyway, I hope you can eventually upload your video somewhere and share. Good luck!

I taught myself how to play air bass. I'm pretty good at it too!

YT recently made some changes that have prevented my video's from being taken down. Now when I upload them it immediately tells me so and so has issued a copyright claim and they will monetize my video's and take the money. Before it's even finished uploading. Since this change I haven't had any video's removed. I set all of my video's to private anyway and so far I haven't seen an ad come across them. I imagine I would if I set them to public view though.

True! I assumed bdickens lives in the U.S. but now that I think about it, I'm not sure. Here you can say what you want and not get arrested for it, but there certainly are consequences in the public square. I've always had the mindset of, give an idiot enough rope and let them hang themselves. Our 1A and 2A are there to protect us from the people trying to take them away. It's like giving cancer the on/off switch to chemotherapy when you allow them to decide what you can and can't say or own. I'm right handed. I throw a ball right handed. Swing a bat right handed. I write right handed. I text with my right hand. I paint with my right hand. I carve wood with my right hand. No not that wood, although ... anyway ... all my audio rack mounted hardware and sound card sits to my right at my recording desk. Swing a hammer right handed. Use a screwdriver right handed. Saw right handed. Use power tools right handed. Do single handed pushups with my right arm. Use my mouse with my right hand. Put my glasses on with my right hand. Put my pants on right leg first. Put my shoes on right foot first. Socks too. Brush my teeth with my right hand. Shave right handed. Comb my hair with my right hand. Put on deodorant with my right hand. Put on cologne with my right hand. Box mainly with my right fist. When I fantasize about slapping some moron who is sitting at the green light for 60 seconds, then goes just as it turns red and I have to wait another 3 minutes, I always hold them down with my left arm and knock their teeth out with my right fist. I shoot with my right hand. Yet I've cried, begged, and pleaded to the heavens above to let my brain pick up a right handed guitar and play it and I freeze. I can't do it. I've tried. It actually causes me anxiety when I try. It's easier for me to play a right handed guitar upside down than it is to swing it around and fret with my left hand. Which to me tells me most people actually play left handed seeing how they fret with that hand. It's super easy to flop your arm and wrist around and strum, but the real magic is in the fretwork, which I do with, wait for it ..... MY RIGHT HAND. ?

Bitchute is the place to be now. The only problem is, Google has such a tight grip on manufacturers you can't get an app on your TV to watch it. You have to watch it on your cell or PC. You used to be able to "cast" or stream anything from your cell to your TV but they locked that down now too so you can only cast from your cell if you have the app on both your cell and TV. So yeah. Bitchute is the new old school Youtube. Only problem is they locked them out of the 'App' market for your TV. Hate speech is not illegal. There are moral consequences for the things you say in public, but it's not illegal and should never be censored. Short of something blatantly illegal, I think everyone should be allowed to say and post what they want. Unregistered viewers should be able to see and hear PG rated material. Registered users 18 and up should be able to see and hear the rest. Keep the nudity in a separate paid section and let people say what they want on the main site. It's that simple. Actually I think the 18 adult age should be upped to 25. You're not an adult at 18. Now days most people aren't adults at 25 either but by about that age your brain development and social skills are pretty much fully developed and you are what you are. I read an article one time where your brain and body continue to develop to about 25 then it plateau's then you slowly decline from your late 30's on at a rate determined by your health. Anything you do to yourself before that (booze, drugs, diet, exposure to a toxic/hazardous environment) will detrimentally effect your development. But kids are easily manipulated so the powers that be determined your child is an adult at 18 so they can propagandize their brains out. I better go now. ?

I bet playing leads was a nightmare. When I very first started to play I played my brothers right handed Ovation upside down. High E on top. He eventually bought me a left handed guitar and told me to keep my greasy paws off his beloved Ovation and I had to learn how to play all over again. And to this day I greatly dislike Ovation guitars.

No need to be sorry ya big meany! ? J/K. It's not a normal guitar. It's not really meant to be played like you would an acoustic. And it sucks bigtime just sitting playing without being plugged in. It's for recording and playing live through a PA. It's a modelling guitar that emulates different acoustics plus a clean and dirty Tele, like the Kemper's emulate different amps. I don't like the video's where guys play it through a guitar amp. It's really not meant to be played that way and sounds pretty crappy. It's best through a PA or DI in to your DAW. I plan on using it for live gigs eventually and recording mainly. I'm hoping the sugary liquid place will work with me on returning b .. i. a . b. so I can put that toward it. If not then it's a no go. I want to get the Acoustisonic and one of these a Lefty Gretsch 5420. Then sell my Martin (MIM) 000 and my Epi Sheraton II and then I'm done. It's getting harder and harder to play acoustic guitar necks and this Acoustisonic should be just what I'm looking for. That Gretsch by far has the most comfortable neck I've ever played. I demo'd an orange one at G.C. but I want the black one. I was offered $100 more than what I paid for my Sheraton by a local shop so I figure I'll throw it on facebook marketplace when the time comes and get the full price for myself that they were going to sell it for. ??

I looked in to it this morning. No, you cannot buy directly from Fender. They direct you to a dealer. The ones that came up for my area are the ones I've already been to that told me it wouldn't be available until the middle of next year. Odd how some online dealers have them. The storefronts don't seem to be able to get them. EDIT: I'm confused now. I can't tell exactly where things come from. I thought only the custom shop guitars came from them but I may be wrong. I'm not sure if the guitars come from directly from them when you place an order on their site or if it's redirected to a dealer.

I hear ya. Not once in my live have I EVER searched for a right handed guitar. It's always, "Left Handed Gretsch" "Left Handed Epiphone" ... "Left Handed *fill in the blank*", yet I keep getting bombarded with ad's for everything but, a Left Handed guitar. LOL

I don't know. I never tried to contact them directly. I was told by my local dealer it as well as a lot of other guitars are not available until the middle of next year. Plus I want to try and send this non-functional software back to get credit toward the guitar and I can't do that with Fender direct. My only chance is the place I bought it will see what's going on and take it back toward credit for a guitar from them. But I completely understand if they won't. It's been months. I should hear back from them in a couple days. They are contacting b. I a. B. directly to see what can be done. When I called about a possible credit they asked me to give their tech support a try so I did. They knew about the problems I ran in to and said there's no fixing it.

A lefty Fender Acoustisonic may be in my near future. Some of you may remember my fiasco with B. i. a. B. The whole major chord key change thing. I chucked it in the drawer after 3 failed song attempts and decided I'd give it another try a couple nights ago. Same problem, different song, new problems found, and now it's crashing S1. Essentially I haven't been able to do one successful song using the samples I paid $500 bucks for. So I called my rep at the sugary liquid place where I bought it from. Long story short this is a known problem when using Real tracks aka samples. It doesn't happen when using midi and it isn't just me seeing this. So buying the hard drive with all the studio quality samples is a waste of money/kinda a rip off if you know what I mean. The problem is, so much time has gone by that it may not be possible for them to return it. I mentioned that they finally got a lefty Acoustisonic in after months of waiting and if they could work with me I'd hand them my C.C. # immediately. Waiting to hear back. It's doubtful and I completely understand if they can't after so much time, but it was worth a shot. Fingers crossed I can make this happen.

That's pretty cool! I've only known one musician that killed himself. BTW ... Sweet Sweet Connie just passed away also from the Grand Funk song. So did the original bass player for Bill Haley and the Comets. Connie was only 66 but Bushy and the Haley bass player were pretty well up there. Still sad. It feels like history is being wiped away. Today it is not like it was going from the 50's to the 60's, 60's to the 70's, and 70's to the 80's. Pretty much after the mid 80's it's been completely down hill in my opinion with a few exceptions. The creation of music changed in the late 70's and the whole digital thing was still new in the early 80's. It hasn't mutated very well in my opinion.

People are horrible human beings. Most, not all. But most. I quit a job once. I was there 10 years. I was the assistant service manager. He took a job as a VP of service and I was next in line. A salesman with zero service experience who was always below his quota applied and they had to give it to him ... I quit 2 weeks after. He ended up losing 6 of their top 10 accounts in 7 months. They couldn't fire him so they put him back in sales selling maintenance contracts over the phone ... at the same salary. Good luck on your new adventure. I usually see something by ART in pro studios too. One or both of the items in my forum signature. Expensive is no guarantee of greatness. I love these ART units. One is a rare "high end" version they made a limited run of. To be honest I had a standard one and I couldn't hear a difference. The only change was allegedly higher grade tubes and blue LED backlit VUs. And an extra label on the front that says "Reference Series".

I had no idea what he was talking about until I accidentally turned the TV on this morning to an over the air station and saw something about a hurricane in LA. I never watch the news anymore and block it on my various internet feeds. Sounds like Base 57 is one of the smart ones in being ready to split to safety quickly. I'm sure they'll be fine. That said, humor is how I deal with things and I would have responded the same even if I knew what he was talking about. My first instinct is to make people laugh during times of tragedy. Hey, if you get tired of hurricanes, join us in the Midwest where you have 0 to 180 seconds warning of a tornado if you hear the air raid siren. No big deal, it's all over in 15 ~ 20 minutes. Survived 3 of them so far. ? My order of importance during those situations is grab the dog, yell "Honey, follow me.", and tuck your head between your legs in the basement. Got hit by one while driving one time. Ended up pointing the wrong way on the other side of the highway with another car facing me bumper to bumper but we never touched. I have no idea how all the cars sliding around missed each other. Some ended up upside down in the ditch.

I've been thinking of doing this as a solo act. Winery's, mom and pop places, hell even farmers markets around here have 1 man acts. I don't ever want to go back to the bar scene. It's one of the reasons I want to get one of those Fender Acoustisonic modelling guitars. They are designed to plug in DI or a PA. All I would need is a modest PA system. I'd work in my keyboard as well but I'm far better on guitar. Every time I sit down to start the process of getting started it's so overwhelming I just shut down and walk away.
