Wow, This thread is now up to six pages of posts. Who would have ever thought you would be creating so many video tutorials! Congratulations. -
???? THIS ???? There seems to be a belief that you can't be professional grade unless you're cross platform.

@S Roy Choudhury, Firmware is the operating system inside the Audient ID22 hardware. Firmware defines how everything about the Audient ID22 works. The Audient ID22 uses an automated system to verify the hardware firmware is up-to-date or update the firmware as needed. Look at page 10 of the Audient ID22 manual for a complete description. I suggest starting with this YouTube playlist. The playlist is specific to Cakewalk by Bandlab. Even though the playlist is about two years old the videos are well organized. I'm very glad you asked the question and started the conversation.

@S Roy Choudhury, Thank you for your reply. You have a very good, kind and generous friend. Audient makes some great audio interfaces. Please visit their product support website to verify the interface is running current firmware and you have the latest audio interface driver. You want to do what I would consider traditional recording. Cakewalk does that really, really good. In this (Tutorials) section start at page 6 (the oldest posts) and work your ways to the newest posts. When this forum first began there were a lot of posts about how to get started with Cakewalk.

When it comes to installing an audio interface or the act of recording the steps are identical for both Sonar and Cakewalk. The Creative Sauce video linked to earlier demonstrates the same information as the Sonar video. The difference is the Creative Sauce video was created after Sonar's name change to Cakewalk. How To Use Cakewalk is another good video. If I may, what kind of audio production do you want to do, electronic beat generation or recording?

I would like to see a Bandlab sub forum "tied in" with the Bandlab Help Center as described by @Mike B . At the very least the sub forum would provide a support point of access for Bandlab. There are many users in this forum that enjoy helping others. However I feel a little illiterate and helpless when I think I've encountered a question about the online DAW and social media platform., Bandlab. Having a sub forum here would also provide a common location where users of Bandlab's offline and online DAWs can learn about each other. I agree with the idea to call the offline DAW Cakewalk and the online DAW Bandlab. Presently there is not enough distinction between the two product names which creates confusion in conversation and internet searches.

Welcome to the forum and to Cakewalk by Bandlab! The first thread in this section, "Getting Started", by Morton Saether is the first thread in this section and is a wonderful place to start learning about Cakewalk by Bandlab. This thread includes links to a series of videos that will help you learn Cakewalk step-by-step. Audio Production Beginners is a thread about resources to help beginners learn audio production. Good luck and have fun learning!

Nope, The tuners don't work on the free Lite II. One issue I see is the included pdf manual does not distinguish between the free and full versions. The only way to find out is to try a feature.

What happened to the old Cakewalk forum?

Google translation: good morning does anyone know how to tell me how to register my original VS20 product I lost my password and I can't create another account because the system is disabled from creating a new account English reply: Gibson closed the Sonar / Cakewalk store years ago so you can not create a new account to register a product. Email Support@Cakewalk.com and they can reset a forgotten password. Google translation: Gibson fechou a loja Sonar / Cakewalk anos atrás, então você não pode criar uma nova conta para registrar um produto. Envie um e-mail para Support@Cakewalk.com e eles poderão redefinir uma senha esquecida. -
This is a very pleasing and interesting song to listen to. I enjoyed it very much.

What Is Sound? is the first video in a (free) series about music production. This is really, really good stuff. Arty Skye is a knowledgeable teacher with great presentation skills. There is a bunch of information packed into this 10 minute video.

Make sure you download and install the TTS-1 sound module. The TTS-1 drums should work without loading anything.

Robert, another excellent video.

@Terry Kelley, Gosh Terry, What did TTS-1 ever do to give you the snarks against it? Not just in this thread but this one too! C'mon man, lighten up!

@Mike Morris, Nice video about how a gate works. Thanks for creating the video.

Cakewalk by Bandlab - SI DRUMS - Tips and Hacks
Jim Fogle replied to Creative Sauce's topic in Tutorials
Updated link ? I got your back, Mike. Always great to learn how to use the basic tools that comes with Cakewalk by BandLab. -
Morton's pinned link (I think to Cake TV) is a good starting point for Cakewalk. You have to hope a newcomer is interested enough to find the Tutorials section and scan through all six pages.

I did not know this and I've used the TTS-1 since I originally purchased Music Creator 2. Thanks Steve! ☺

I agree with John's assumption that the program's user profile has changed. Times change. For example, at one time, Cakewalk and ProTools were two DAWs the Berklee School of Music featured in their online catalog. Now, that is no longer true. Before many could safely assume price kept many beginners and amateurs from using the product. Now, for many users this is their first experience manipulating digital audio. They likely do not have a general knowledge of audio to build on. While I think it is wrong to assume the forum and Cakewalk can educate all users in everything digital audio I do think it is to everyone's benefit to identify resources that are available for self education and provide links to those resources. I also believe all of us need to remember that (1) not everyone in the forum reads and writes English as their native language and/or (2) may not have the background knowledge needed to ask the question they mean to ask.

1,000 subscribers, that is wonderful news. I'm sure the subscribers are glad they subscribed as you're really working hard to build a solid channel. Congratulations of the success of your channel. May it continue to grow! -
All the BandLab VSTs are only available for use online. There is no process to download the VSTs similar to the way BandLab loops can be downloaded. Both BandLab and Cakewalk developers are working on ways to better share assets between the two products. So your request may become possible in the future.
