  1. Hmmm.... I might go with the Studio Bundle. Never hurts to have more woodwinds. Then again I should sat no since I'll download i, play a few patches, play roulette with my drive space, and forget about it.
  2. BTW the pioneer of lower price sample libraries was Garry Garritan with GPO. Going back to the old Northern Sound Source days, EastWest was banned from the forums for harrassing Gary over his vision. Like how Music Man said there is another market and Komplete often fills that. I think of 8dio more like Squire than Fender. There's a lot better out there if you are not a hobbyist.
  3. Not too many care about what it said above despite I agree 100% The question is for horaders do I go Century Strings or Studio Orchestra. BTW regarding Waves you probably weren't aware around the turn of the century Waves made it to the end user's **** list. There were over 30+ pages on Northern Sound Source of people boycotting Waves. They had to do something. The other one was Pace/iLok where I was getting expensive free stuff just to use iLok. They only way to earn forgiverness is to lower price. Once again and on topic The question is for horaders do I go Century Strings or Studio Orchestra.
  4. Happened to me too. Contact support and they will give you credit. Unfortunately you cant double discount,
  5. I don't buy Toontrack anymore since libraries are based on genres and that gets expensive and used more disk space. I have these drum libraries in Konmplete and Modo Drum. I might as well use them. As for their other EZ line stuff they did a great job with their players to lay down stuff.
  6. They didn't add their bassline app to this either. No augmented piano. Maybe they need to do an everything bundle.
  7. Bummer Sweetwater no longer carries Live. I use to get licenses with their credit deals.
  8. That would be a 2nd license which I guess would come in handy of you have 10 machines.
  9. Wondering if someone would see past the shiny and new. They are still one of the few DAWs left that still have two machine limit. Comparing Live to other DAWs is apples and oranges. The GUI is basically designed for laptops. I'm a fan of Live but at some point it's getting harder to bite when I've bought 2 licenses. Multiple DAWs can be an expensive hobby. But I'm sure I'll end up with 2 licenses of Suite again.
  10. This is my favorite producer of Trance templates, presets, and included projects. I only wish they did tutorials. Their demos are amazing which often come with project files.
  11. Not only that but you also need to have the web development deal with the discount.
  12. Some advice was given in the forum you loathe but still have to go back for one of those Vi-Control beatdowns. That was predictable. You feel the need to spill it over here. It got to the point a user blocked you here. You just need to let it go and no more explaining or defending yourself. and Thank you Reid for posting it in the wrong part of this site. One of these days Deals might be removed from the forum due to abuse. Deals should be renamed to DAW users knitting circles. I'm here to look to buy more stuff I don't need and those opinions that push me off a cliff. Mods need to move this one.
  13. Yea, let's bring more Vi-Control drama into this. This forum is unique in this. We also abuse the Deals section as if no one was going to read this.
  14. I watched a Linus video about excessive fans in cases. You really don't need them. I have 2 not butt ugly gaming cases. More holes means more noise. It's noticeable in an 8x10 room with ceramic tile. The problem with the Apple vs. PC debate is Windows is software while Apple is hardware. Shouldn't that debate be about Asus, MSI, Gigabyte, AsRock vs. Apple which I do believe uses Foxconn boards. With Apple products no way would I go to their bottom floor. I couldn't do a 13inch Macbook. You really need to go to a higher tier of Apple. To me it's like buying a PRS and using a 10watt SS amp just to have the name.
  15. So who is going to be the first one to get this library?
  16. Um ya think? I rarely read past the 1st paragraph of posts. When I search for youtube how tos, I go for the shortest ones.
  17. My biggest shock was having to update Native Asshat that 2/3 upgraded with no problem. Then it's a crapshoot upgrading plugins whether I have to use their registry tool.
  18. That's a very accurate description. I think this is often the case with artsy fartsy people. They like to inject slight political feelings into everything. which I hate. I almost hate it when people here reference to Vi-Control. As you know it doesn't take long for members here to mimic Vi_control when 8dio is brought up. Most sane people would never understand the drama created over sample libraries. I doubt most pros go to forums other than maybe write a sentence or two. I believe when you have a forum and you have off topic sections you invite toxic, The Garrigus forums were like and it's been over a decade I've went to that site. Meanwhile who is going to be the guinea pig and buy this? I'm good at downloading libraries and never testing them. I still haven't cracked open VSL Synchron Samrt Orchestra yet. At one time the Cakewalk Sonar forums were highly toxic and it was no secret.
  19. So I guess some of us have to wait for an email for the code. Not sure I wanna put a 96Khz orchestra on my drives. I deleted the previous version and kept Majestica.
  20. It is basically a one time cost unless you get it wrong and then most of the time the developers don't fix it like having to redo recordings. There are libraries out there where you can hear other sounds than the recorded instrument.
