  1. I'm thinking of not continuing the Cubase chain. This is my first license. FL, Bandlab, and Reaper will not break the bank. I see more Mac users using Logic over Live. Mixcraft is another one with cheap upgrades.
  2. At one time IK went dongle. Licensing is still my #1 factor in purchasing. More iLok stuff has went past single activation and doesn't need hardware. VSL still has the worst policy with dongles. Melda and Image Line hasn't went under with their licensing. Nor has Izotope or IK.
  3. Then again why not? I still have those AP7 tutorials from Sony - they go deep into the midi side.
  4. Most kids do this stuff on their phones. Most of them wouldn't know how to turn on a desktop.
  5. Why bother. Their loops are not so great. Wait till next month when you can get a bundle from ADSR for that price and they come with midi and presets.
  6. Just avoid the loops and the Vita instruements - those sample can't be relocated.
  7. Surprised Magix didn't save this for Acid 10.
  8. I laugh at that in Live's forum. That's basically what their software is all about. Years ago someone mentioned they like Acid for mixing because of the GUI. People forget there's many people out there that picks something up for their own personal pleasure instead of "you'll never be a producer using Acid". There are hobbyist that can play the shit out of a Squire or Epiphone. I still am amazed the music cranked out using FL Studio, 3xOsc, and stock plugins. Modern Reason users never heard stuff cranked out on Reason 4. I admire those who don't have the arrogance and the gear insecurity.
  9. I was hoping for something else instead of having 72 copies of Nectar.
  10. https://www.magix.com/us/music/acid/acid-pro/tutorials/tutorials-by-artists/
  11. I removed these from my system. I didn't really need them.
  12. Mangle Verb is $29. Do I dare start collecting Eventide stuff?
  13. Not too long ago in a galaxy not far away......IK kicked some ***** in a group buy. Izotope did not charge users for a Ozone 9 upgrade after it had been out for over 2 months. Every week Melda has a 50% off. Waves returns to it's own vomit with the $29 plugins. Eventide is the copycat. I don't think I need anymore. Funny how PA claims ignorance with what buyers were doing. Also they rarely update plugins. It does make sense in what they are doing, There needs to be some exchange of money with their vouchers.
  14. Screw all of the philosophical stuff. It's a great piece of software. I finally removed AP7 and no longer need 32 bit plugins.
  15. I got it bought haven't auditioned it yet. Usually on the site you can audition the loops. I thought it was worth the risk for $4.
  16. Chilled Trap 2 might be the best since it has 241 midi files.
  17. That makes it an easy pass considering I acquired everything T-Racks last month.
  18. I still think it's one of the coolest DAWs ever. If they would have had a dedicated piano roll page it was going to be my main DAW. I still love the GUI. I've got the original light skin running.
  19. The world wont end if you have Synthmasters One Zt3a, the one in Live and one in Reason.
  20. I have the Black Ambient and Close. An upgrade would cost me more.
  21. I have two old machines with Acid 8. I'm not sure it's worth $20 to upgrade.
  22. I'll wait to see what freebie PB is offering next month.
