  1. He retired. I wonder if Rush will ever perform again. He's not replaceable but some groups move on. Sad I never got to see them live. You just don't find a trio that skilled.
  2. I guess just run using an amp sim. EVH did that in a song.
  3. You will have to run these through Kontakt's compress and save.
  4. I've finally found that cure for GAS.
  5. My biggest mistake was my first audio interface was a Yamaha SW1000XG for $500 somewhere around the turn of the century. I wasn't too bright about hardware and if I would have gotten a RME Hammerfall it would still be running. M-Audio AP 2496 is probably the best budget car ever. I have 2 of them in use on W10.
  6. Took your advice. It cost me more than getting another piano but there's no mention of the disk space needed for those behemoths. I'm becoming more conscious of disk space these days.

  8. https://www.frys.com/product/9970706 Comes with 5 fans installed.
  9. The GUI reminds me of Omnisphere. I'm done with glutenous libraries. I think it's great they offer a demo.
  10. I got other DAWs and the same excuse.
  11. Still waitin to hear from someone who has one. I almost ordered one from Sweetwater but I got the NI mini 32 controller instead.
  12. No Yes I stopped subscribing. If there's a freebie you might like just buy an issue.
  13. It's just one of those DAWs that doesn't appeal to me no matter what it offers.
  14. Only missing one one of the Black Grand perspectives. Do I go with it for $13.90 or the TBO or 7C for $9.90?
  15. Too many controls. Reminds me of a Melda Plugin.
  16. I'd pass and go for Arturia's everything when it's $199.
  17. I have an older WD Blue drive failing. It's a storage drive but writing to it is slow or creates an I/O error. Windows will do a chkdisk at startup or sometimes it doesn't even show up. If I run tests in WD or Seagate's app it passes all SMART tests.
  18. True. They got on this one about a year ago. I could have made this myself.
  19. Wave is one of those who try to make more money off existing users while some need to make more off new users. It's odd at times when a new license costs less than the WUP. Gold/Maxx is a $119 WUP. Their loyalty is mixed. Nice deal on upgrades but so so on WUP. Even at half off I'm not sure I'd go for it. Their restrictions to one machine is getting outdated. I have iLok software you can use on 2 machines. Yup just what I want to do is use another USB port with a homemade dongle. The license friendly developers are Izotope, Melda, and IK. I never have to pay for an upgrade on Melda. Their plugins are rocket science but they don't crash and never get rejected by a DAW. They have the largest inventory and I imagine something like Waves Central is their only solution so far to handle it. Some had issues with older versions being removed or new plugins not recognized by a DAW.

  21. As far as dance genres Ghosthack doesn't come close to the tops on my list.
  22. 3 of my memories from NSS were the 30 + page of members boycotting Waves over their previous WUP. There was always the anti dongle threads where the biggest opponent of dongles was Eric Pershing of Spectrasonics. I copied one of his quotes. The last one was when they banned EW from their forums for giving Garry a hard time over wanting to create affordable libraries.
