I have a sampler built into my Kurzweil(K2500XS)...used it to sample my drumkit...never had a use for it again. I use Kontakt in software now but don't sample any more though I'm thinking about creating my own instruments one of these days ? Bill

Which Uses More PC Resources, ProChannel or 3rd Party?

If you're using the same settings on your tracks set up a send instead of per-track instances of EQ and compression. Bill -
I find this to be more of a Mach piece ? Great stuff! Bill

Check out Amberlight as well! Bill

Read up on this a bit and to me it's just light buss mixing followed by the traditional 2-track mastering. Bill

I created a simple form in Flame Painter, then took it into Photoshop for editing ? Bill

Actually it's a combination of the Google Nik Collection and ON1 free effects. As far as what it it...it's a doodle....it looked like a character in the center so he got eyes. I'm an Accidental Artist(if this isn't a thing it should be ? ), nothing I make starts on purpose...it's more of an improv. Once I get started I get into the details and see where I want to go. I approach music composition the same way...start with an improv idea and then refine it :) Bill

Bored tonight and not in a music mood so figured I'd mess around a bit in Photoshop...here's the evidence! The original is called Blue...I'm working on the Blue2 branch ;) Bill

Oh yeah....no lead guitar, just generic drums, no mix to speak of...hell, I haven't even finished writing it...don't know if it will make the cut when it's time Bill

I like to stockpile material when album time is coming up....and this is part of the treasure trove ;) Cold(Demo) Thanks for listening, Bill

I use MozBackup to backup both Firefox and Thunderbird...it's no longer under development but I used it last year to move my profiles, bookmarks, emails, etc. from my Windows 7 laptop to a Windows 10 laptop. Worked a treat! Bill

You're not alone with the Midi problem...I've had to delete TTSSEQ.ini every time I start Cakewalk...or Splat for that matter. It started probably 3 or 4 updates back in Splat. I'm just used to deleting TTSSEQ.ini, opening Cakewalk(or Splat), and re-choosing my Midi interface. Thought I was the only one with this problem...welcome to the club! ? Bill

What are you downloading with? A lot of d/l problems are browser related. Bill

I installed rtpMIDI on the PC to get it to work. I remember it was a pain but you'll get it! Bill

Thanks Noel! I'm an "insert/audio fx" kind of guy but I could see where some people prefer drag and drop functionality. My needs are different than most users as I only compose and record in Cakewalk, my mixing and mastering are done elsewhere. Bill -
Thanks scook...I have a default Lens with all the clutter gone...I never understood the need for screensets but Lenses rock! Bill

For myself I'd like to get my UI real estate cleaned up. I'd like the ability to remove the Multi-Dock and Browser...they serve no purpose for me and take up valuable screen space. Why does everything open in the Multi-Dock so I have to undock the window to move it to another monitor. I'd love to see UI choices...not everyone is working on a 14" laptop...I've got 3 monitors with the ability to add a 4th...I don't need everything in Cakewalk to be opened at the same time let alone all shoved into a single space. I'll have up to 100 tracks going and viewing sperate(and uncluttered) Track view and Console view is very important to me. Generally the left monitor is for Track View, the upper monitor for the Console View, and the right monitor for Synth Rack, Melodyne, plugins, etc. Bill

I've never used the plugin browser, what does it do that the plugin manager doesn't? Bill -
Excellent tune and arrangement! Listen to the mix suggestions but in the end it's your piece. Personally I would make the bottom "punchier" and taper the real high end...and widen everything but the bottom. Bill
