If they come out with a Max 5, the only things they could add are T-Racks 6 and the Morley collection for Amplitube. I think they will probably release something else in the meantime, otherwise it would be a pretty lean upgrade. As for the second question, I wouldn't count on it. It's questionable for the people who have come in under the group buys and have most of the included gear. It's a spectacular deal for someone who didn't have any of the included products. Even for someone who was only interested in any one of Amplitube or T-Racks or the MODO series it would be a pretty good deal.

Which version of Sonar contained latest DX version of Rapture?
Magic Russ replied to Magic Russ's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
1.2.2 is the version where they stopped supporting Rapture on DX. And when I say stopped supporting I mean the installer went out and removed the existing DX. In other words 1.22 is the root cause of the problem I had. -

Actually I was in the process of converting some old P5 projects to Sonar. All I needed was to be able to load it to see which presets I was using and then export the patterns and recreate in Sonar with a 64 bit version of the plugin. For what it's worth, I don't remember which version I ended up loading but it was either 1.2 or 1.2.1. I don't believe that version was available through my legacy account but I found it on a backup drive. -
Which version of Sonar contained latest DX version of Rapture?
Magic Russ replied to Magic Russ's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
I am actually talking about the OG version of Rapture which came out in 2006 or so which began life as a boxed product and eventually was included in Producer edition. Yes, I can load the projects but these are old projects from before I was in the habit of exporting incomplete projects to audio. Rapture is great for creating the proverbial one finger groove and I'm pretty sure that's what I was doing in these projects. So getting the projects to open is of limited help with that. -
I am going through some old projects and I have run into some issues where I created the project with the DX version of Rapture. At some point when Cakewalk upgraded Rapture they decided to not support VST. Unfortunately this also meant that the installer removed any existing DX installations of Rapture, and I now have a few projects that I can't open because of that. Does anyone know which version of Sonar has an installer for the latest DXi version of Rapture? Or do I have to go back to install disks?

If i delete kontakt 6 my projects will open with the 7?
Magic Russ replied to Matias Nicolas Biglieri's question in Q&A
The newest version of Kontakt has a long requested feature which allows you to import 3rd party content as searchable libraries into their libraries page. That's a great feature because lets me find content without having to search through the file system. Unfortunately, in order to take advantage of that feature you need to perform a batch resave to resave the existing content in the current format. Which means that you cannot take advantage of that feature without breaking all your existing projects which were saved with earlier versons of the software. -
If they ever bring back plugins that would effectively kill this particular subforum.

I only just got EZBass and have only the bass pack. So far I prefer the sound of MODO, but as people will tell you, EZBass (and EZKeys) are really all about the composition features.
-
I added the Jazz Bass Midi to my account. It also gave me the option to add Acoustic Songwriter for another $9. Nice.
-
I've seen that they have expansions and midi packs for EZBass. The sound expansions come with MIDI. Is there overlap between the MIDI provided in the expansions and that provided in the MIDI packs?

You might get better deals on some things from outside vendors if you wait. You aren't going to get better deals on the 3 day deals from Toontrack, and many of these deals you won't see from vendors. Now if you are interested in a couple of Toontrack offerings and only have the budget for one, it completely makes sense to wait.

The also have EZ Bass for $114.67

Cakewalk (Sonar)membership ltd time offer, 99 USD / year
Magic Russ replied to Pragi's topic in Deals
They built up Sonar to be a sweetener to subscribe to their community and made a subscription the only way to get the product. But the existing Cakewalk/Sonar user community wants nothing to do with the community and even less to do with subscriptions. -
Kontakt libraries don't usually require a lot of support.
-
There seems to be a licensing problem, as when I pull that library up I get a message telling me that all the impulses are unregistered.
-
BREVERB is an algorithm reverb while ReMatrix is a convolution plugin. It's not a case of better but different.
-
It's also confusing because they say that some of these are samples only but I have read other people say that they include Battery kits with the expansions.
-
This is pretty sad. They were a great resource for me when I was getting started.
-
It's called Bits and Pieces and contains 20 new synth patches and 20 new effects patches. Log in to account to download.
-
This is odd. Analog Lab Pro shows presets for some synths that I don't own such as Acid, but there are some that I don't own such as Synthx which don't have presets available.
-
Analog V has been updated to include support for the new Synthex. If you are a user of the full version, this means you can access a bank with a fair amount of presets from this synth.

I'm pretty sure the last time I saw it that low was a few presidential administrations ago.
