  1. What happens if you take arm off?
  2. Wouldn't hurt if you try and change it. Do you have a send to your reverbs? I see you have it in the FX chain.
  3. Mic inputs are almost everytime INPUT 1. Seems like you have it on Input 2.

    Sigh

I always used to get excited when the Feedback loop and Early Access section would prompt new bold letters when theres new topics and releases. Lately though, its just been the web installer and old ideas - which are great of course. I guess 2021.22.102 was it. We have everything we need, no more feature ideas. ? Not even suggestion pop up ? guess it's a wrap. On a serious note: There's really not much left that's needed other than maybe just improvement on what there is already and maybe one or two features that other daws are busy adapting. Literally there's nothing needed anymore (we're not talking about a sampler for now.) The Bakers really deserve an Award for all their hard work and commitment for bringing this product to the clouds.

    END OF VST PLUG-INS

? Exactly. I understood what they've meant from their very first announcement. It's even it the article i've posted above. The company said: they give everyone 24months to check all their projects and advice everyone to replace vst2 versions with Vst3 versions. Clearly this was meant for members across all the available products the company "Steinberg" owns and not beyond its borders. Like Mark stated: It has nothing to do with the host, but mainly Developers of these vsts on license agreement only. DAWS will still be able to run them - just not new comers since the announcement and all new purchases will be in VST3. I might be wrong, but I think i remember reading somewhere that waves dropped Vst2 already. I wonder what holds VST4 in stores for us ?

    END OF VST PLUG-INS

I think the confusion comes in where Steinberg said that the company already dropped their own Vst2 plugins for Vst3 versions in all their products.
  7. Good to know, thanks. Yeah, the missing bass ports were of concern too. I believe they have an extra speaker built-in at the back? I'll see if I can get them in a well treated room for some tests.
  8. I actually had a listened to them just before the pandemic started. Great sounding, but through countless of listening tests in a well treated room. I find that their low midrange have not enough detail in them with some space missing and upper midrage a bit hyped . Their highs are crisp though, with great detail. They're actually toe-to-toe with the JBL 308 to me. All-in-all, They are a great pair of monitors though. Thanks.
  9. I'm looking to upgrade from my KRK Rokit 6 monitors (which i had for 6 years) to any of these, which just happens to be in my budget price range. Does anyone own a pair perhaps and what are your thoughts on them? I have read a few reviews on them and they're not bad. I'm only used to Yamaha's, M-Audio's (which I owned before) Eve's, Samsons and Presonus, from the various studios i had worked in and visited with the majority with KRK systems - I guess its the "standard." KRK'S are great dont get me wrong, I'm just looking for "different," that's perhaps better with a more precise (as in balanced) flat response and not too overly bass heavy. A nice clean sounding pair of monitors.
  10. Probably a bug, who knows. It works fine myside on test though. I even test it with 23 tracks hidden, saved it as a template and project - works fine. Why things work for one user and not the other has been a mystery for years. To be fair: I've recently redone my entire system. All my projects, gets saved on an external drive. So it's really easy for me to always do a clean install every 6 months or so and to clean out all my fans. All I lose is about 2/3 hours to install everything again. The only software that are on the system itself is the DAW some VSTS that requires installation and an Antivirus. To scan files clients send and that about it.
  11. This was my first thought. To really checked this, try using AVC (Any Video Converter) or any Audio converter you might have to confirm what they say, by converting one or two Wav files to mp3 or AAIF and see if that fix the files (which I doubt,) but we're here to help so any information and idea will help right now.
  12. Make sure, that "Apply Workspace" are checked right at the bottom on the little menu box, when using workspaces.

    END OF VST PLUG-INS

Unfortunately, that would be a hard NO. https://forums.steinberg.net/t/vst-2-discontinued/761383
  14. Yes, Sonar Platinum Producer is now free. All those years paying for all that gadgets down the drain. During that time magical things happened in Sonar - Now called "Cakewalk by Bandlab" CbB for short. We have been fighting and eating ice cream through a lot of emotional long hours arguing with the new team and been sleeping on the couch as a community, giving feedbacks and ideas on and for this new product. We now have great new features, such as: • Articulations • Arranger • New tempo • New transients improvement • Better stability • New folders • New Export Windows Improved side chain abilities, and many other great improved features. And guess what? You can still use your old products with the new daw. Just install the version you have now available as Sonar and install Cakewalk by Bandlab on top of Sonar. Both are allowed to be on one system. How cool is that? By the way . . . welcome back to making music again.
  15. Ouch! ??‍♂️ Try copying the project folder to you desktop and delete the original one (leaving it in the recycle bin.) Next reinstall cakewalk and copy the projects (only) to the newly created project folder. Infact, uninstall the previous one completely and do a clean reinstall. You keep that copies safe far from harm - external. Worse case should this not work: you loose everything. ??‍♂️
  16. No. I dont think it's Microsoft or Cakewalk. It might have malfunctioned and had it's time, or, some other communication issue. I normally just buy a new one when all my attemps failed. I even went as far as to change the little USB adaptor at the back once after some tests. That worked for a month or so . . . Honestly, that window message box can mean a lot of things. ??‍♂️ Sorry I can't be much of help on this one.
  17. Won, too, tree, for . . . skip a few, ate, skip another . . . tan, twin tea, dirty, for tea . . . ?
  18. And the one in the Theme Editor? I see someone else used to too. See below. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cakewalk_(company) So i guess you can use it too? ??‍♂️
  19. In my experience that's a Malfunction. What does it say in Windows 10 popup windows right corner in the Taskbar? Unplug and plug it back in to confirm if its in both Windows or Cakewalk. Try different cables too.
  20. This is a first. So all your gain stage gets messed up? When this happens again: Try to check what happens to your hardware faders in Cakewalk. It sits within the bus pane in the console view. Just drag it out as how you would with the bus pane. (Although i highly doubt it is this.) But the volume change could also be because of your "high cpu usage." My windows system is capable enough. what files are you importing? Midi or Audio? Might be worth checking out your core usage too.
  21. You do realise that most DAWs requires you to setup all your hardware manually, right? ? You didn't even ask for help.
  22. Excellent! This new installer need to get more attention. Where are all those that were complaining that they couldn't install CbB? I think this installer (a direct link to it) should be mentioned or even better - be attached in every new EA release threads. No one is here then.
  23. Every envelope has a different level what it sees as "0dB." Some envelopes sits right at the top and bottom ceiling on it's 0dB others halfway up. Most of Cakewalks envelopes on its own stuff sits half up, where 100dB represent "0" and the top of ceiling that 127dB. I guess this comes down to the plugins/effects own built-in "headroom." I think it's only your time plugins thay sits dead center on the clip. ??‍♂️??‍♂️ I need to check this out.
  24. Will.

    Cakewalk

There should be a download setup file in your DOWNLOAD folder that's bigger than 500MB. It should either by in its own CAKEWALK folder with all your EA files included. If not, you're out of luck. You'll have to download it from the other computer. You need internet connection anyhow to register it on the other system. Otherwise you wont be able to Save anything.
