Trust your instincts Bat. Sounds righteous on my Bose cans. SD3 on this one? Sounds like you got it working! I'm still trying to unlock its depth... T
-
Well done, the tune and video! Hugo has quite the "busy" foot, I love it. Well played by all.

Born in '52, I most definitely can relate! Like your song structure, not just a 12 bar; nicely done.

New Forum Monkey's song - All the way to everything

I'm smiling! -
As always you never cease to bring the goods. Love the ambiance on this one, so lush! Keep 'em coming...

I went with the 80 ohm. I have a set of 990’s as well. T

Well done. And its done! Its in the can. Don't obsess, move on. Evidently Chas Chandler liked to remind Hendrix that Mickie Most produced House of the Rising Sun for 10 bob. How long would Jimi sit in front of Pro Tools if he were still alive? How long do I (or vous) sit in front of CbB, obsessing over half dB cuts or boosts? Just my nickel98's worth... T

I have a pair in the office, I love em! These are "open backed", but I do no tracking in the office. If you're looking for some isolation try the 770, Sweetwater calls them "mixing" headphones; not so much. T

Bat, EZDrummer on this one? I love that snare, the whole kit really. As always, all groupies must bow down! T I too am glad you bumped it...

Bat, So many guitars, yet each is unique, and you've carved a niche for each. Great vocals. You never cease to deliver the goods! T

I've posted this in the past, its an R121 and R84 in a Blumlin pair, not vocals, but I think its a good representation of what they sound like... http://deeringamps.com/mp3/full_moon_takes.mp3 http://deeringamps.com/mp3/full_moon_mix.mp3 Full Moon by Bill Leech I did the engineering

Had a request for the Trilian Drum Map so here goes: Note that you want to select "Show Note Duration", also set Trilian for Octave -1 here's the link to the map http://deeringamps.com/cakewalk/trilian right click "trilian.map" and save to your drum maps folder. T

"Block Trackers" in FireFox is working here! Thanks for the heads up abacab! T

10-52 for many years now. Been lovin’ the “half rounds” lately, cuts down on the “squeak”, don’t play “out” much anymore, would use the “nickel wounds” for that. I’m old, what can I say. T

Two “Cats” here. #1, from 2010, is still rock solid. It’s now my “office rig”. Couldn’t run CbB on my old 32 bit rig. #2 I purchased in September, it’s a “monster”! Can’ say enough good about Jim. Buy with confidence, you can thank us all later. T

I’ve been “seduced” more than once, so yeah, maybe the guitar does choose you. T
-
Not only do I use them for EZD and Superior, I also have a Trilian map. That way all notes and key switches are on screen and labeled. I don’t have to “think” when I want to “slide” a note. T

I think David, sadly, is right on all points. Hope we haven’t all stepped in a “pile” as far as the TOS goes. T

I learned redundancy early on watching NASA manage the space program. Redundancy, redundancy, redundancy. So yes, I have multiple tape measures and basters! if I “scatter” things about, there’s always one close at hand! T

Maybe Jim will give us/me a definitive answer here; Are SSD drives the way to go for the project/audio drive? I thought there was an issue with multiple read/write cycles with SSD drives. As to the OS on the M.2: why waste valuable sample space with the OS? I upgraded my old Cat to ssd on the OS several years ago, cloned the existing drive, other than the time it takes Sonar to scan the vst’s, I really didn’t see a “blinding” increase in speed. Jim said I wouldn’t, maybe his optimizations, and keeping things “lean”? As to size; go 500 if you feel you need it, I’m on my phone so I can’t quiz my Cats as to actual use on my OS drives. I know my 9 year old “office” rig is 250, and it’s not “full” by any means. Best of luck with your build. just my nickel98’s worth. T
-
Andy, listen to Jim. 250 SSD for your OS. Keep it “lean”. 1gb M.2 for samples. Edit: 1 tb, I’m on my phone, pita! Conventional 7200 hd for projects. at least one more hd for data, backups etc. I’m not a composer who does “huge” orchestral mockups. But I can tell you that the M.2 loads Superior Drummer Trilian Kontact “right now”. Best money I spent last year! You can thank me later, T

I was late as well. Put it up Bat. T
