  1. I did NOT develop vertigo as I listened, so am assuming the drummer did just fine. 👍's 👏 t
  2. No, I think this is "modern" 2-way (or not, see below), it uses a hex key and these don't come apart (I think). Its just "stiff". I was able to get some relief in the neck (and then of course, I tightened it back up; I like my neck pretty "flat") So the Double Cut sets up and "plays". The intonation is good up and down the neck. The IPF-300 TSB arrived yesterday: This one the truss rod was "loose", so maybe they aren't "2-way". Tightened it up, and it plays just fine. 6 pounds; amazing. If I was "playing out", this is the guitar I would take. Anything happens to it, who cares; $206.72, lunch money! t
  3. The double cut junior has arrived. Weighs in at 5lb 12 7/8oz. I guess that's the basswood. Quite a bit of back bow in the neck. I've let the truss rod off well over a quarter turn. That's put a "tiny' bit of relief in the neck; capo at the first fret and string held down at the 22nd. I tuned her up a half step, hoping to help her relax a bit; can't tell if this is a "vintage" truss rod or a "modern" two way. When loosening a vintage truss rod, it should get easier to move. This one remained "tight"; hence tuning up. 9's on these? I play 10's so that should help a little. As to the nut, the high E and the B are maybe a little too low, but I got to get the neck "straight"! Boy is it an ugly yellow! stay tuned... t
  4. There’s always that! As I said above “what could possibly go wrong?” I picked up a PRS DGT SE recently. On sale from John Mann, $653. Fit and finish on a par with the PRS “core” (as they refer to USA built now), thought that was a “DEAL”. (btw, been a PRS player since ‘94, I might own one or two more than I need) Anyway, I’ll post pics and review as soon as the IYV’s arrive… t If the nut is a bit high on the neck thru, no worries as long as the spacing is correct, and the E’s are where you want them. Nut files are a bit pricey, but if go slow and careful, it’s not as intimidating as you might think.
  5. @mettelus dam you, curse you! Is this what you wanted to see! I grabbed the double cut tv Junior ($150) and the semi hollow (I think it’s semi hollow) at $223 (includes CA sales tax). what could possibly go wrong? 🙃 t
  6. How many of those are forum members? It would be nice if the community was a little more supportive. I’ve tried to lead by example, I’ve tried cajoling and tried shaming. The limited time I’ve had of late, I don’t review those who post a song and never reciprocate by reviewing others. Seems somewhat “selfish” to me (and folks you can read this as “totally self possessed”, y’all know who you are…). Nick I totally respect that you come back week after week, even though the community is pretty much unresponsive. Rock on! t
  7. Big fan here so what more can I say than Brilliant! t
  8. NO! Not without a paid membership. t
  9. @John Vere this is one of those things you just have to “wear and own”! t
  10. @Nick Blanc just a “heads up”, this is the “Deals” forum, not “Songs”. rock on my brother! t
  11. NO! You can try updating CbB to 2024.12, IF that is still an option. BUT on August first CbB is evidently DONE! While the “look” of Sonar is different, it is still the same core program; with enhancements and improvements. Sonar is the future, CbB is for all intents and purposes Morte! hth, t
  12. Sign into your BL account. Find the “membership” tab and “cancel”. t
  13. @mark skinner Check your track template folder locations under Preferences in both CbB and Sonar. Copy any CbB templates into the Sonar track template folder. Then of course, open them in Sonar just to be sure (I'd be pretty surprised if there were any problems). HTH, t
  14. All you have to do is cancel your subscription.
  15. Then you renew at $149 (or whatever is the then going rate) OR, cancel your subscription, use the “free tier” until they offer a discounted rate you are happy with. Simples! t
  16. That’s a good thing! In my case I have to bring my studio rig in the house and get it on the internet. That was the biggest reason for me to go with the subscription. t
