But what does the Old Dudes Guide say about the Now Time Display? Not the cursor line. You know, the numbers in the Transport module part of the Control Bar.

Have you guys found a way to change the color of the NOW Time in the Transport Module Display? It seems to be staying the same in all Themes.

Out of curiosity, I opened Hey Baby in Safe Mode. Works fine now. FWIW, I am still on W10 also.

First one opened. I replaced the plugs I don't have and it played fine. When I closed it, it crashed. Now it crashes when I try to open it. Second one, instant crash. Not going to bother with the third.

Yes. And as @sjoens just said, I never noticed until you brought it up. It is pretty low on my list of things the Bakers should work on.

Page 904 of the current Cakewalk Sonar Reference Guide shows a clear difference between the icons of Split Instrument and Simple Instrument tracks. @Bass Guitar is correct. Sonar is not currently using the Split Instrument Track icon.

Also, not automagical, but if you set a keyboard shortcut to "Go to Thru" you can select the first clip then use that shortcut to navigate to the clip boundary. Then just cut and paste the next clip. Repeat steps as needed. As always, YMMV

When saving a Project Template... After you click "Save As", navigate to the Project Template folder BEFORE you change the "Save as type" field to "Template". Otherwise, the Template will save in the Project Path that is greyed out at the bottom of the "Save As" window.

Testing Einstein's definition of insanity, I repeated the experiment, expecting a different result. This time the whole computer locked up.

I just locked up Sonar testing the new Assist feature. I opened it then typed in Go to Time, which showed up in the list. I clicked on it. aannnnnnddd...... Lockup. (Just Sonar. I am typing this with Sonar frozen in the background.) The Assist module went away but the Go to Time module did not open, and Sonar will not respond to anything.

I have updated Product Center to try out the EA. Before I go on with that, I want to thank you guys for adding the Rollback tab. That is a step (back) in the right direction.

Despite getting the Log-in timeout error, Sonar (Paid) is still working here. I am able to load, save and export projects without problems. So far. Clearly being unable to use a subscription product within the subscribed period would be unacceptable and reason to choose not to renew.

Those processes are ancient. They were added as part of the toolset when Cakewalk first added audio tracks to the sequencer (like back when dinosaurs were still walking around). It certainly doesn't hurt to ask the bakers to make changes to these things, but I just asked my Magic 8 Ball if it would happen and its sources say no.

I'm not positive but I don't think that Sonar can export a midi track that starts with a partial measure. The first measure in a midi track must start at beat 1. It can be a 1/4 measure, but it can't start on beat 4.

Have you tried bouncing the project to a track? You can then export the resulting clip.

The way Sound on Sound recorded clips are displayed in Track View is messed up. If you open the take lanes, all of the data in unmuted lanes is displayed in the parent track. But if you close the take lanes, the most recently selected clip is displayed on top of other clips. This is a problem that should be addressed. The parent track should at least show all unmuted data in all lanes always. This would appear to be a single clip. So, I am sympathetic to your problem. But... Bouncing clips is merging them. Until the bakers make changes that address this problem, learning how to bounce clips is the simplest solution. I would not hold my breath waiting for overdubbing to a single clip.

Yeah. This really sucks. If they could at least make a way to keep the current flyout open while you make several changes, that would be good enough for me.

Don't nudge the Drum clip off of the grid. Instead turn off snap and move the audio tracks to line up with the drums.

If used is an option, then yeah. He would be trading his current problems with his 8 bus for someone else's. I do a lot of work at a local theatre with an Allen and Heath QU32. The preamps in it sound really good.
