I think I'm gona take a go at this again. Freeze midi to audio in place.
chris.r replied to Will.'s topic in Feedback Loop
scook is right, the synth is unloaded from memory and CPU, what is still missing in cakewalk imo, is a simple, direct 'bounce to audio' command (no freeze, no record audio, just a quick-bounce an audio clip from selected portion of MIDI) which is strange in such an already powerful DAW say I have open an VST instrument and want to produce couple of audio tracks with it using few different presets and melody ideas and then just place the audio clips into project accordingly, that's were it fails to do it seamlessly, too much hoops to go through there edit: yes I too do open audio folder in windows explorer and drag the newly created audio files into project after freezeing, but like I said, too much of a hassle for something that should be able to do easily with a single command inside DAW -
try the built in cakewalk rematrix with default preset if you want to give the instrument a sense of space (a live room), just set the dry/wet so you don't hear the reverb anymore but you can tell it's gone when you bypass it, I love it

Exactly, my observation as well. Setting the right amount of sends/returns seem to be the main factor. Plus why would I want to mess up something already done good

CreativeSauce Cakewalk articulation maps vid

watch the video posted above from minute 8:00 same goes about transpose or any other processing -
This! there's practically no real reason for allowing only a single computer license in 21 century, it's all digital right? no additional costs for second allowance, no production outlay... so why? It's less hassle if you started Cakewalk on your laptop next to your desktop and just now realized that you forgot to send the licences to the cloud, it's much more annoying if you're away to your friends for a session and are now firing up your laptop, having fun, but not yet realizing that's going to happen again soon the next minute...

Anyone remember when NI is making best sales on their libraries? Need to collect some monnies for these session horns.

even better a tatoo on forearm

in google search look for "cakewalk forum" and not "sonar forum", this will bring you here quickly

OMG the new v2 sampler-track in cubase is killing it even more now, just check it out (and watch the whole video from beginning for more): such feature can speed up your work by miles if you need to cook up a track from sample(s) or loop pack.. no idea why anyone wouldn't want it in cakewalk (and EDM is not my main style )

BabylonWaves Art Conductor articulation maps for Cakewalk!
chris.r replied to Steve Harder's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
In addition I would suggest starting a new topic or forum that's global for all articulations that are supplied by users from now on here on forum, similar to UI Themes or Deals, so we can keep them combined in one place and could find them easier later if one need to. Just a thought. -
Me too ! there's something about the diamond I still love ? I have also Sampletank Max but not yet installed, will have to check if there is Alan Parson in it.

Couldn't agree more, love to play with my Pianoteq but as soon it's going to be a record I will reach for CFX lite that for me sounds always like a real piano record and blends seamlessly with the rest of mix.

Well that makes the deal even more sweet

Cheers mate, that's a lovely offer indeed, sadly I have no more money left after my spontaneous DCO-106 purchase just recently ?. Guess I'll bite the upgrade to the newest version on another occasion anyway, might even go the up tier if money allows. Luckily I have no pressure for it right now so I'll be fine with 6 Stage for a while. Just curious what's the additional instrument when going Stage>Standard?

Do they make sales on upgrades?

one question to those with Modo drum installed - how much disc space does it take after installation? thx

Amplitube 5 is here - Release Date 15/12/20 or 16/12/20

Will CS version be of the same size? Actually that would have to force me to do some long deferred cleaning on my tiny crowded SSD. -
ah, and I'm looking for the final sound and not the experience, thanks for mentioning that
-
Would appreciate some direct comprarisons.. youtube, soundcloud, mp3, etc - I don't have SD3 nor BDF3 so can't demo those and didn't see many/any comparisons against MODO Drum or AD2 (that I own).

changing tempo of recorded audio track
chris.r replied to Charles Gillard's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
you have to bounce your track/clip after a tempo change to apply the high quality algorithm.. I still like to use Radius Mix for best quality, I've compared it to the newer Elastique Pro and in my ears Radius Mix always wins by a strand of a hair, it may depend on the source (type of music, etc)
