audio plugin deals 92% Off 8-bit Stylez by UEBERSCHALL
chris.r replied to Audio Plugin Deals's topic in Deals
I don't think it's like that, I think fastspring will charge you based on your location, if you're making purchase from U.S. for example, it won't charge you extra, but if you're European based, like me, it will charge you extra no matter what. For this purchase I had prepared $60, one item $50 and the other $10, but when I got to the checkout fastspring suddenly wanted to charge me way over $70 so I simply had to remove the $10 item from cart. It happened to me at another seller who is using fastspring too so I'm always trying to avoid fastspring sellers if I can. I was always happy with buying from APD as up to this point they never charged me extra VATs or anything else (like most other discounters I go for that still don't charge me). But now it has changed and I'm screwed but well, it is what it is. It's about 1/5 more over the price from now on so I'll probably end up buying way less now, APD used to be my favorite for quick cheap nobrainer purchases too, so not happy about it.- 18 replies

Just by reading your post Zo, I can clearly see that we (musicians) are getting a new headache with this new authorization scheme. Like I said before, bumming. And I smell that they are trying to entice us, those who didn't register/update Cubase to the latest version yet, with this free upgrade to v12 and then just announce the end of eLicenser support leaving us basically with no choice than enter the new "backdoor-subscription" reality. Bumming.

I think 229 is the BF sale. They used to do personalized upgrade offers somewhere closer to Xmas. Let's see how it will go this year. I keep my wallet ready, if it's something close enough to my best past offer then I'll pull the trigger.

365 days is the new offline mode

Yep, something along Roland Cloud's 30-day re-check and CbB once every 6 months. Bumming Think I'll stay on eLicenser for a bit longer... (edit: I'm using only Cubase Elements so no dongles whatoever)

I had an offer to upgrade for something like $80-100 once a couple years ago. Never came back sadly. I wasn't ready that time, I mean really wasn't ready for anything that time so couldn't take the offer. Now that I know what was the best offer in the past, it's really hard to pick anything above it. Too bad as I'm more and more looking for upgrading my ST collection.

Glad to see that corrected so quickly. I have bought a lot of good and very useful deals at VSTBuzz and they also provide excellent customer support assuming you need any.

So according to kvr the current boz deal ends on 1 december and on rekkerd it's 25 nov. So both together are kind of useful

Would be so good to know the deal end date. Anyone?

I was only fooling around with it for a short while so far. With it's heavy saturation and wear effects it's certainly great if you're into lofi styles, very useful for corrupting a perfect recording. But if you're after the recorded-into-tape sound without an apparent sound degradation you might want to look elsewhere, I bought tapeface for that, or use the excellent IKM Tape Machine a vst plugin you actually can't use... for mixing purposes ? (when I'm not under pressure of time with a project, I can check with the Tape Machines, typically the 99 on a rendered instrument tracks, to take the guessing out of equation, LOL!). I'm not trying to say you can't go subtle with TAIP but to me it seems that it's mostly about giving some wobble and crunch to your tracks. Maybe they'll come up with a more refined sound (less aliasing) in v2 one day. Quite interesting concept with using AI though.

Agree. Plus I failed to find any changelog to see whether I really should update or not.

Thanks for confirming. I just re-read the OP and realized that both Gospel EZX and EBX are not included in this promotion. So the only deal I could make is to buy EZ Drummer 2 and get the expansion free, unless it's excluded from that as well, idk.
