"Error! You have already used your trial" shame.. I think Articulator would be much more useful for me than Choir ?

@JoeGBradford do you mean it's downloaded from withing the app now?
-
AFAIK you should "buy" the factory content for free now

I have bought the full version a couple years ago. Tried to update several times but eventually got lost along their many changes to this synth. Now it's deauthorised byself (wondering how, I did offline auth) and it looks like I have to install and learn the concept from beginning without any info on it. Somehow strange experience. Don't even know how to run the few expansions I had for this synth.

How to mix to separate MIDI drum tracks to just one track? [SOLVED]
chris.r replied to tdehan's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
You are holding Ctrl instead of Shift. -
To offload some heavy resource hitters like Amplitube off my projects I'm considering some PA amps. Does anyone have an opinion if there are any amps that could do a fairly good job in substituting Fender Collection clean sounds? Thx

Anyone can share the wisdom if Broadway Gig has anything new that Broadway LITEs has not? Or it is just the subset and having LITEs I can simply forget about it? Thx

no minimum 2 month commitment?

Thanks.. 1. It's the two up/down buttons next to the preset strip on the main GUI (on the promo video the up button looks still broken, just like mine), if you can't change presets with them then there was no fix to it since the first release 2. I see some people experience problems with the content after updating, it's hard to say for sure, maybe it's too early to judge but I really don't want to mess up with my current setup for no fix.. I'm still on v1.1
-
I have two questions: Did they fix the dreaded preset up/down buttons on the GUI front in v1.5, in Windows? If I upgrade (free upgrade to v1.5 without buying new drumkits), will I have to download and install the content again? (I have put the content on an external disk and wouldn't really want to mess up with the current setup). Thanks.

"Products not included in this sale: (...), Deskew Gig Performer 4,..." I'm out.

I'm still on Cakewalk v2021.01 and just yesterday plugged a MIDI keyboard in and experienced the hanging notes. Was blaming the keyboard, the sustain pedal wire, the neighbors, anything really. You think it's a Cakewalk issue? Never experienced this before. Or maybe it's a Window issue? Idk.

Best practices when copying MIDI clips between projects?
chris.r replied to chris.r's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
I think I'll just create a dummy clip at 1:1:0 and then select and drag copy all the clips I'm interested in along with it. Edit: it still didn't want to align properly to the starting point even though the phantom graphics while dragging suggested that I did everything right. Had to correct it afterwards that's why the first clip was needed. Very reluctant is our Cakewalk sometimes. -
It's the most common reason. You have to run Cakewalk not in the administrator mode.

Are you running Cakewalk as administrator?

Inserting Midi Control Sequences into a Midi Track..
chris.r replied to Sridhar Raghavan's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
I would try to record a patch change performed manually on the keyboard, into an empty MIDI track in Cakewalk, and then check how does it look in the event list. Then try and replicate. -
What is Facebook? ?

Best practices when copying MIDI clips between projects?
chris.r replied to chris.r's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
It was a temporary project with loads of different softsynths across tracks where I could explore some draft musical ideas before letting them into a fresh clean project. Most of the content is going to garbage but a couple performances made into the project. I could repeat everything from scratch in the new clean project but a few clips were actually made nicely enough to make me want them just copy paste. So far I found out that if I extend clip start to the beginning of a bar and copy to a new project, it's content will be kept in place so that's one way. Another way is to adjust clip's start times, in the inspector, after paste. But I really wished there was simpler way. No biggie. Copying tracks between projects is no straightforward either. You'd have to 'Save As' project, as per Steve's advice above, or use track templates, if you needed to copy track setups. You have posted some excellent advises too, guys. Thanks! -
My MIDI clips typically fall far off the grid. Inside the same project, when moving or copying, it's enough to keep the Snap setting to copy 'By', problem solved. When I try to copy clips onto a new created project, they always land in an arbitrary place regardless Snap settings. Is there a way to copy clips between projects and keep their relative position on the grid?

That's a good reason to include my global Kontakt libraries folder in Cosmos. Thanks for the tip! ?
