  1. This is horrible. Bakers, here's an easy one to do if you can't think of what's next. Implement a simple search for track by name like we can now with fx in the browser ,over the top of the tracks. :-)
  2. Seems odd that in a sea of tracks, there is no search box by name for example. Am I just not seeing it? TIA
  3. I can't read music. I was taught drum notes so I am familiar with whole, half, quarters etc. Once the notes went up and down the staff, that was too much for my ***** brain on the fly, so I just free styled guitar like so, so many, and learned by ear all the contemporary cool stuff of the day being placed as the lead gutar player ( not an ist) and song writer in local garge bands. Later in life, when I get around trained people they displayed competency that exceeds mind but have seemingly never written a catchy stupid 3 minute pop raidio tune to save theire lives. They raise up the circle of 5th like it's a boy scout badge of yor but all the while I covet their understanding, and they wonder at my playing because it sounds so..... and I think. Shoot people, you should get out more. There are bazillion sof us. I was a youngest of five and had two older sisters that could play anything on the piano Chopin to Elton but only if the song book was before them. Take that away and you remove a decade of practice, just like that. But see Elton sis? I don't know. both camps can be rather smug. Likely as a defence mechanism.
  4. @Pathfinder. You're not an idiot? That's too bad because ingnance is bliss! - I should know. :The Village Idiot. 👍
  5. Do you mean the orange toaster pop up and startup? Meh. I could be annoyed and appalled but not this time.
  6. I don't think the v-vocal crashes were ever due to the amount of ram or execution speed, so it's doubtful that ether one of those items will help. Viva la v-vocal though regardless.
  7. I logged into a windows 10 computer to check the backup (Acronis 2018) before they went all subscription. There I saw a toaster that read: Check out the new Acronis perpetual license! This silliness never lasts too long when there are true alternatives with marketplace traction. Intuit is absolutly FLEECING thier installed base because they have little to no alternatives with that marketplace traction. And us old koots who have an aversion to rental software that will stop working when you don't do what you're told and you're in the middle of a session rightly arent appreciated anymore.
  8. I use acronis true image on the whole music and or system drive(s) to a usb drive whenever I think that I should.

  10. Peter Frampton before Come's Alive, actual tour for that album though. We were 12 and 13 and in a band, there to see Brownsville Station, Some cat named Peter something, Lynard Skynard and Black Sabbath. Pete blew them all away around 6:00pm while the sun was still up at Orange Show Stadium in Southern California. White Marshalls, White Leslies - never fails. Later that year or the next Come's Alive came out and everybody knew his name.
  11. I got a similar Crash Detected just yesterday regarding Session Drummer. I closed CbB waited a bit then relaunched it, loaded the same project again and got no error. I have never seen this white error dialog before, must be newish. It was alarming, but I was glad to know that the (huge) file wasn't corrupt but that is was "just one of those things" :-)
  12. I'm 62, find myself now on a meager income, have really nothing to amuse myself with but the songs I have on my daw that I mix and remix for entertainment any more. CbB is way more DAW than I'll ever need and there is little left to do aside from a talent button. I wish I could just use it until I'm too old to do so.
  13. I just opened 8.0 on my win 7 32 bit laptop, went to the plug-in manager and at the very least there is a VST3 section so I would say yes.
  14. Those of us who would like to get off the bus now with what we have now should be permitted to if we want. Even for some nominal flat sum or some such. I completely agree. I have Sonar Platinum which I will revert to as it's fine and dandy and I have oddles of image backups that I can dump onto a new ssd and rock on at the moment's notice without reinstalling one nibble from the "cloud" or otherwise. The synththesizer V ARA instrument I use for vocals anymore will do a region effect on Cakewalk by Bandlab and even the new Sonar but not Sonar Plantinum for some odd reason though. I'm venturing into the retirement world and a fixed income. I do not like to be extorted one bit and don't understand why there is not and exit for old koots like me when I'm just giddish about the daw I have and want nothing more, not even vector graphics.
  15. Taxi: Verse could be stronger - needs a better bridge. - Gosh every thing but more cowbell. Others: crickets..... They are either stunned because it's good or stunned because it sucks. I keep to myself anymore.
  16. In the announcement text at the top of the thread, this is said: "If you wish to continue to use CbB" - Do you mean "If you wish to continue to use CbB till death do us part? - That would make me and I suspect a lot of others very vary happy.
  17. I dicovered I had the same problem just last night. c:\program file\common files\vst3 is in the cakewalk search path as Bapu has shown and the missing plugins are there yet are not to be found in the cake plugin list no matter how many times I scan. Latest Cakewalk By Bandlab
