  6. 2 issues 1) There definitively is a problem with the PA's Thorn VST3 version The VST2 version works fine. 2) It also looks like you have dupes and they're confusing things. This is what you should bee seeing: Item(s) under the Plugin Alliance vendor name not DS Audio. Delete your old instances of Thorn, rescan your VSTs and then ? you can properly crash Cakewalk with the PA Thorn VST3! It's after 4am here, just got up for bladder maintenance and decided to check forum... should know better. Please report this, I'm going back to bed. Reported bug to BandLab and PA.
  7. Sarp FREE Multilane Arpeggiator Showcase Version: Kontakt 5.8.1 / NCW / V1 https://www.kontakthub.com/product/sarp-free/ As said in the description below: Sometimes its easier to just do rather than say, and our unique and creative arpeggiator is one such time. We've used the engine inside SARP in a range of products, Folio Bass, Phenomena, and others. We wanted to give you an opportunity to try the sequencer for free so you can learn how to use it to its potential before you purchase any of the full products that use the same arp. So here it is stand-alone and for-free. SARP showcases our advanced 'Multi-key' sequencer. Unlike other sequencers, this enables you to run up to 8 different sequencers at the same time- based on how many and which notes are pressed on your keyboard. The first lane corresponds to the first key pressed, the second lane to the second key and so on. It's incredibly flexible and easy to use. There's only 8 voices to select from (2 Basses from Folio Bass, 2 voices from Phenomena, 2 from the up-coming KeyTone and 2 drum kits from the up-coming Folio Drums), so it's never going to be your go-to sound source, but for creative poly-rhythmic arpeggiations we think its unsurpassed. You can make Kontakt send midi notes out so you can even place your sound-source-of-choice right after SARP-Kontakt in your DAW to get arpeggiated sequences using other instruments. So it should be really really useful straight out of the box.
  8. Free - If you own any of the following bundles MMixingFXBundle, MTotalFXBundle, & MCompleteBundle (of course)

  10. There's no user tracking, registering, etc on DS's website so no idea what kind of database, if any, he used to track his customers. Could be that DS's records were not detailed enough for PA to tell who was previous Thorn purchaser vs who had CM version or tried Thorn demo. Or possibly when PA imported the data that things got muddled. Just guessing at possibilities based on my background in dealing with data practices & issues I've run into with companies I've worked at and client's I've supported. If you purchased Thorn and did not get your upgrade coupon from PA contact PA'a support. I'm sure they'll be glad to help you out.
  11. That's great (not being sarcastic). But don't regret getting Thorn for $19.. If you already own Thorn you should definitely stack'em & grab the PA version before they change things!
  12. Lol, noticed that. Clicked Save and 2 posts showed. So - did PA take both coupons? ($19 + voucher) I didn't try that thinking PA's system would only take one...
  13. But - PA version (i.e PA upgrade) will cost you $19 USD to switch over. If you have DS Audio's Tantra - check your email. Just received email offering Thorn upgrade. Probably a glitch, but...
  14. That's a thought - if you have the Greg v9 versions it might be cheaper to buy new to get the v10s. You won't get the WUP rebate coupon but might be worth it...
  15. Once upon a time I was really into Nugen plugs but their steep upgrade prices soured me.
  16. That is a killer price, I paid more than that for just one of the Greg Wells plugs.
  17. https://www.bluecataudio.com/Products/Product_Dynamics/ Dear Customer, We are happy to announce the release of Blue Cat's Dynamics 4.2. With a brand new user interface (fully zoomable), dual lookahead capabilities and many new features and enhancements, this new version offers even more control over the dynamics of the audio signal with a greatly improved workflow (full change list below). This is a free update that you can download from the same location as the original full version (you may have to refresh the web page)Dear Customer, We are happy to announce the release of Blue Cat's Dynamics 4.2. With a brand new user interface (fully zoomable), dual lookahead capabilities and many new features and enhancements, this new version offers even more control over the dynamics of the audio signal with a greatly improved workflow (full change list below). This is a free update that you can download from the same location as the original full version (you may have to refresh the web page) What's New: Brand new GUI design, with improved usability and touchscreen support. The GUI can now be zoomed from 70% to 200%. Lock the GUI state to prevent changes when loading presets. New lookahead function for the dynamics section. New brickwall limiter with optional lookahead. Link pre and makeup gain to compensate gain changes. Lock GUI state to prevent changes when loading presets. Last loaded preset is now remembered in session and displayed in the presets menu. Plug-in state can now be reverted to the last loaded preset. Save and reload dynamics curves and bands as presets (+copy & paste). Now supports retina displays on Mac (text and graphs using high resolution). Mac: new installer. Mac: fixed minor compatibility issues with Mac OS High Sierra and Mojave. Changed demo limitations: up to 5 instances allowed, bypass time changed to half a second, and bypass parameter is not affected anymore. Dropped support for Windows XP and Mac OS X 10.6 and earlier. Dropped support for legacy RTAS and DirectX plug-ins formats. Fully compatible with previous versions of the plug-in (except for VST3 on Mac, as explained below). Warning: because of a bug of the initial VST3 release, this new version may not work with existing sessions that used the VST3 format. See this blog post for more details and how to fix it.

  23. Assuming that your were not downloading the MIDI files - here's 2 Chrome extensiond that play MIDI in the browser. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/cloud-midi-player/aagimlbccniocacfjiipcfagjpaigiab?hl=en-US https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/midi-player/ggdnfelcdiebaofocemalnfclifhbfij?hl=en-US If you are downloading the files with the 'Open' option - the problem is that MIDI files are now associated with Cakewalk instead of whatever app was playing them before. If this is the case and you are using Windows 8 - 10 you can use the instructions found on the link below to re-enable the default system MIDI player: https://superuser.com/questions/997896/how-to-re-enable-the-default-midi-synth-in-windows-10
