This is a free update that you can download from the same location as the original full version (you may have to refresh the web page)Dear Customer, We are happy to announce the release of Blue Cat's Dynamics 4.2. With a brand new user interface (fully zoomable), dual lookahead capabilities and many new features and enhancements, this new version offers even more control over the dynamics of the audio signal with a greatly improved workflow (full change list below). This is a free update that you can download from the same location as the original full version (you may have to refresh the web page) What's New: Brand new GUI design, with improved usability and touchscreen support. The GUI can now be zoomed from 70% to 200%. Lock the GUI state to prevent changes when loading presets. New lookahead function for the dynamics section. New brickwall limiter with optional lookahead. Link pre and makeup gain to compensate gain changes. Lock GUI state to prevent changes when loading presets. Last loaded preset is now remembered in session and displayed in the presets menu. Plug-in state can now be reverted to the last loaded preset. Save and reload dynamics curves and bands as presets (+copy & paste). Now supports retina displays on Mac (text and graphs using high resolution). Mac: new installer. Mac: fixed minor compatibility issues with Mac OS High Sierra and Mojave. Changed demo limitations: up to 5 instances allowed, bypass time changed to half a second, and bypass parameter is not affected anymore. Dropped support for Windows XP and Mac OS X 10.6 and earlier. Dropped support for legacy RTAS and DirectX plug-ins formats. Fully compatible with previous versions of the plug-in (except for VST3 on Mac, as explained below). Warning: because of a bug of the initial VST3 release, this new version may not work with existing sessions that used the VST3 format. See this blog post for more details and how to fix it.

  7. Assuming that your were not downloading the MIDI files - here's 2 Chrome extensiond that play MIDI in the browser. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/cloud-midi-player/aagimlbccniocacfjiipcfagjpaigiab?hl=en-US https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/midi-player/ggdnfelcdiebaofocemalnfclifhbfij?hl=en-US If you are downloading the files with the 'Open' option - the problem is that MIDI files are now associated with Cakewalk instead of whatever app was playing them before. If this is the case and you are using Windows 8 - 10 you can use the instructions found on the link below to re-enable the default system MIDI player: https://superuser.com/questions/997896/how-to-re-enable-the-default-midi-synth-in-windows-10

  9. Here's Melda's video on MRotary. TBH I find Melda video demos lacking, they rarely pick the best (or even good) material to demo their plugins over and often making an awesome plugin seem meh. How about demoing some classic Leslie tones (ala Jon Lord or Whiter Shade of Pale, or any of dozen other examples) instead of lame noodling? Maybe I just got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning and am being too harsh. I guess it's better to have a plugin that sounds better on your tracks than it does on the web demo, than the other way around. Anyway this demo shows the plugin's workings...

    TAGS?

When you create a new post as the creator you can add Tags to it - or even go back later and edit or add them As to why some are red - I suspect it's because they match a key word for that particular forum but don't know for sure. But only the creator* of the thread can add, remove or edit the Tags of that thread. *and probably the forum manager probably can as well.
  21. 50% off Image Line Toxic Biohazard, now $39 instead $79 >> $34.71 in cart with code FORUM https://www.jrrshop.com/image-line-toxic-biohazard I don't own this (I have NI FM8) but it's supposed to be a very good FM synth. from JRR Shop web page: ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Toxic Biohazard is the 4th generation in the line of Toxic synthesizers. Toxic Bio distills the best features from the previous 3 versions to deliver our most concentrated Toxic ever. Beware! Incorporating the best suggestions from our users, Toxic Biohazard includes following enhancements: Optimized engine Improved the sound quality, with even more accurate waveshapes, and quicker rendering times. "Physycal" envelopes (amplitude and filter) physical modelling of how sounds in real world decay & resonate, for example, the sound of a water drop. Further, physycal envelopes are rendered real-time without any interpolation, avoiding noise artifacts and allowing Toxic Bio to deliver fast, accurate envelope times. Pack of new effects: phaser, reverb, ... Toxic Biohazard features a hybrid synthesis engine, combining the best of FM and Subtractive synthesis. With the addition of a warm, analog-modeled filter and set of built-in effects, the Toxic concept remains one of convenience, simplicity, and superb sound quality. The FM technology One of the ‘warmest’, crisp, and clear Frequency Modulation engines in the world, owes its sound to the precise calculation of the digital signal. Due to high-resolution DSP processing, it produces sound with an extremely low noise threshold; something that most FM engines cannot offer. The Toxic Biohazard sound was built from the ground up, via our own unique mathematical calculations and analog-modeling techniques. The Oscillators Completely alias-free, and well tuned for all sampling rates, they produce a rich, "fat" sound all across the spectrum. Due to the high quality of the anti-aliasing process, users will not encounter the shredding noise on high frequencies that has plagued FM synthesis in the past. Furthermore, the oscillators are calculated at extremely high speeds, keeping your CPU usage to a minimum. Toxic’s low CPU consumption affords the user plenty of room for external processing and running multiple instances. The oscillators also come equipped with Maxx Claster’s own powerful spectrum analysis technology. This allows the user to create his or her own waveforms, via the simple process of loading a WAV or AIFF format sound file. All of these features make the oscillators very flexible, and allow for the use of both synthetic and acoustic waveforms within Toxic. Each oscillator also comes with 32 built in ‘classic’ waveforms, each shown to be the most useful in FM synthesis. The Effects Made to assure high quality and flexibility is built into the synthesizer its self, Toxic Biohazard aims to reduce the need for external processing altogether! The effect modules are designed to give the user access to several types of effects, from aggressive, tube-like distortion, to warm stereo delay, reverb, flanger, and phaser effects. With our own pro-quality tape delay emulation, based on non-fixed delay buffer sizes, instead of the usual methods incorporated within digital delays, our delay lines give you warm sound, with “true” feedback and modulation. Lastly, the signal chain features an analog-modeled, parametric equalizer to further shape your sound. The EQ provides access to crisp, clear high-end definition, creamy mid ranges and earth-shaking low-end frequencies. The Toxic Biohazard effect modules expands its palette of sound to include everything from dark, atmospheric textures to razor sharp leads, fit to slice easily through any mix. The Filter Maxx Claster's own analog-modeled, multimode filter is reminiscent of a certain silver box of old. Garnishing a warm, resonant Low-Pass mode, a smooth Band-Pass setting, and a creamy High-Pass mode, Toxic Biohazard gives a wealth of control over tone. The filter is further enhanced by modulation via a dedicated envelope generator and low frequency oscillator, as well as responding to velocity information and keyboard tracking. These features allow for extreme sound shaping, as well as subtle nuances attributed to dynamic playing. The Sequencer Powerful, yet simple, the sequencer offers a total of 64 steps, which can be divided into two independent, 32 step modules to allow double-polyphonic patterns. Using our own "Smart Sequencer" technology, when a chord is played, the module defines that chord, and tunes the pattern accordingly. The sequencer also allows for pure playback of the programmed sequence from single notes. Simply holding one chord can virtually create an arrangement for you!
