Is it difficult to set up multiple instances on different tracks? Have you done that?

The only real pain is installing both plugins on each track - if you're looking for the pairing.

BTW  both Precedence & Breeze are excellent individual apps.

  2. I have this and it works well.
Precedence is also good at adding a subtle animation to a track that can keep it from getting buried without it being obviously effected or obnoxious.

I haven't registered my recently purchased update to 10.5 Cubase.  I think I will wait to register/activate it until  right before 11 comes out.  Frankly, between SOv4 and Cakewalk, I am well covered for everything my little brain can come up with.

You can wait & register it after if you wish or way after.  License is based on when activated not purchased.

Still think it would be better to move/re-install VST2 dlls to a path outside of the VST3 folder though.

    Ditto.

Some vendors place their VST3 in subfolders in C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
I also use subfolders under ...\VST3 to organize my VST3s and reduce clutter.
Not at home so I can't test if this a now problem.

  6. Is it safe to assume that VST3 plugins NOT in Program Files\Common Files\VST3 will not  be scanned?
I've seen a couple of plugins install their VST3s in their VST2 folder.
It won't bother me either way because I move 'em if I catch that their not installing in the correct locations, but curious.

I am not sure that an extensive MIDI 2.0 discussion belongs in "Deals," but that seems to be where thread currently exists. So . . .

    Agreed but here it is.

If you're curious there was an earlier post & discussion on MIDI 2.0 in the Coffee House forum section back when the proposed spec was announced. Many of the same topics/issues debated there along with additional information.

  8. Lol took me a while to find this original thread.

Is this mostly for 'live' playing or can it be also used for DAW recordings? I have IK's Axe I/O as my audio interface and have an Takamine classical acoustic (with pickup) which I'd like to record (better).

While not meant for studio it might be helpful if you're recording via the pickup because of it's antifeedback technology (if that's an issue).
I.E. Guitar into pedal into Axe I/O

Pigtronix Bob Weir's Real Deal Features:

    • Acoustic guitar preamp pedal and feedback eliminator
    • Designed in collaboration with legendary Grateful Dead guitarist, Bob Weir

    • 2 24dB/octave tracking filters split your signal into low and high-frequency bands
    • Crossover knob adjusts the cutoff point of both filters from a generous 300Hz to 3kHz
    • Independent preamp gain for each signal path
    • Accommodates everything from simple passive piezos to complex active systems with internal mics, contact elements, and magnetic pickups
    • Provides up to 60dB of gain on the Microphone channel
    • Switchable 48V phantom power for your condenser mics
    • Includes a polarity reverse function
    • Custom-made optical components and 18VDC power ensure ultra-low noise and plentiful headroom

  11. I picked up a Monoprice 'Retro Vision Solid Body Electric Guitar - Blonde' on sale for $105.99 (came to $121.45 with tax & shipping)  in 2015.
Back then it was a straight tele knockoff with the Monoprice 'M' on the headstock.
It came with the intonation set, decent fret job, etc.. Back then Monoprice use to claim they had a guitar luthier on staff to oversee production & setup.  I wanted to add a tele to my collection and had a low budget. It turned out to be a decent guitar. No regrets.

No idea how the old line compares with the Indio line - except for the headstock and new logo on the gig bag (mine has no logo whatever) and that for the solid Ash version they want over $200  https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=610291 (think mine is Basswood but don't remember for sure).

Forzo is very nice and big.
I am thinking about doing some vids or live streams to feature these. I have Forzo, Novo, Vento, Ascend and picked up Mosaic Keys during Christmas.
Let me know if there is anything specific you would like to know or hear ;^)

I would imagine (i.e hope) that Forzo would work well with SpitFire's Albion One.
I picked Albion One up a couple of month's ago but haven't had a chance to really use it yet.
