>but the Bumblefoot require an amp that's only available as a Custom Shop purchase ($34.99) if you don't own AmpliTube Max Which brings up the old complaint about IKM not having realistic upgrade paths for those who (thanks to group buys or possible owning older versions of AmplitTube Max, etc.) own most or all the AmpliTube libraries.

The Gift Point don't have an expiration date... After logging in check: https://www.ikmultimedia.com/userarea/jampoints/

Appreciate the download link but how about one to the plugin creator if we want to find out more or see what else they have?

Little review & trailer for game: https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2020-03-27-monument-valley-2-is-currently-free-on-ios-and-android looks interesting! At least on iOS Laura Croft GO is free as well (also mentioned in preceding linked review)

meh, like I said previously I disagree with your premise. If you think it has no value, then to you then it probably doesn't. I don't feel the same way but like anything else YMMV. I respect your right to hate iLoks or other forms of copy protection but not your character dispersion on those that use such techniques. The idea that any developer who uses copy protection is scamming people is ludicrous. As silly as saying everyone who hates copy protection is a software pirate. Everyone has the right to protect their work / their intellectual property in the manner that they see fit. If you don't like that they choose to do so or how they chose to do so - then don't give them your business; there's a ton of alternate, good stuff out there that you can use. >it is a fair assumption that you have never personally had an ilock dongle fail iLok v1s yeah, those were way too bulky & fragile. But not with the v2 or v3 though both had issues (if I recall correctly) initially. My iLok v3 is all metal with a fairly small profile- more likely to rip the USB port out of my laptop than get broken. But one day it will probably wear out, fail or somehow get busted. Anything hardware can and at some point will fail and usually at the worse time. I've seen every type of computer equipment fail, amps fail, mics die, console channels or whole consoles have issues that made them unusable, soundboards smoke, speakers catch fire, even recording tape come apart during recording sessions (anyone remember the emulsion coming off Ampex 2" tape?). Still I buy computers, use guitar amps and buy & use other gear. If you've got the means you protect your self with back ups, alternate gear, etc. otherwise you hope the gods will smile on you till you can.

>It isn't worth an extra $35-50 that the customer has to pay. It definitely is, it is not adding that price per plugin. > Not to mention giving up the USB port.. My fairly expensive laptop has 3 usb ports. Powered USB3 hubs are not that expensive, now days 3 USB ports are not enough. I exceeded that number without using any dongles. >than the manufature treating the buyer like a potential crimianl. meh, I disagree with your premise. If all my plugins were iLok, setting up my next Audio computer would take hours instead of days or longer.

With an iLok dongle - I don't find the one activation limitation imposed by some creators a limit. You just move the dongle to your other machine if you need those plugins. I'm going to be replacing one of my audio computers soon and the iLok plugins will be the least of my headaches, activation is easy peazy. No challenge & response, locating serial numbers, or computer install limits. If you've got a fair number of Pace protected plugins bite the bullet & get the dongle. The next time you have to set up a new computer for audio you'll thank yourself.

If I owned it I'd be bummed. Still waiting for it to hit $29 so that it can join my collection of vocoders that I've never actually used.

They turned around & severely limited the selection. Should've jumped on this when I got first email. BTW answering my previous questions... >>I went for the Footsteps pack >Does that include a version of Weaponizer? No >>C:/ProgramData/Krotos/ and all the WAV files are there. >That's cool as long as they're not encrypted. They are not encrypted

Do they have a 'dry' reverb plug? That's what my mixes have been missing.
-
iLok has their own dongle, now on v3. With iLok (Pace) you have 3 options iLok dongle - most recent software only supports v2 or greater specific PC activation iLok cloud - newest system and not all iLok protected software yet supports this. Also it is up to the software company as to how many activations they support. Many only support one activation, but I have a couple that support 3. Don't know what the upmost limit is.

For iZotope? I have a lot of iZotope stuff, including this Cross Grade which I picked up months ago and none of it's on iLok, though it could be if I wanted it to, it's all serial # unlocks. You can license either by serial# or by iLok or both - your choice. Assuming you're talking about iZotope on this as well, I've never been limited to a single installation. https://support.izotope.com/hc/en-us/articles/360024955073-How-to-use-iZotope-Products-on-Multiple-Machines

I own V Collection 6 and the Effects Collection, if the upgrade to 7 was $49 I'd jump on it. At $99... it's just not that enticing at the moment.
-
Re: coupon use - I was previously on their mailing list and the email I received didn't have those restrictions. When I used an alternate email to register Reformer free I then received an email with the $99 offer that listed, I think 8, specific options for using the coupon and Dogs is not available as an option. Note: the Footsteps pack is not on the current list either. >I went for the Footsteps pack Does that include a version of Weaponizer? or did you already own it? >C:/ProgramData/Krotos/ and all the WAV files are there. That's cool as long as they're not encrypted.
-
I think they're only usable in their custom players. Reformer has a free version but not Weaponizer, which rules out most of the things I would be interested in using the coupon for. Tried to pick up the Dogs bundle, which is a valid option, at $105. That would have cost me $6 with coupon but I'm getting an error message that it's an invalid item for the coupon. I submitted a support ticket to their tech support. Reformer (at least the freebie) is a little odd, it requires audio input to generate output at least with the panther freebie library it comes with. Haven't had much time to play with it so can't say if this makes it easier (for example for voice actors or producers) or just weirder to use.

Don't ding your wallet too hard over the power supply. You can pick up the power supply on eBay for $8.54 - even has free shipping. Edit: Hate to contradict but I'm looking at my FreqOut (model FEQOUT-V-00) and the power requirements are 9VDC 300mA.

Appreciated! But got it working when I manually downloaded & installed a BSD update that I missed.

My issue was that when running the license manager it would immediately crash before it did anything. So I never got that far, good to know there's a fix work around if it partially works.

This is a foot pedal mainly used for guitar - numerous guitar player dudes/dudettes have expressed their love of it. My license manager was corrupted as well, if you download a recent update of something and install it, the license manager will get reinstalled - as they don't seem to have a separate license manager download (at least I couldn't find one). I checked the products under my account - https://www.fxpansion.com/account/ and found that I had missed several updates because of this issue.

Pod replacement. Poor CCLarry didn't have a road flare handy when he needed it most.

https://www.image-line.com/documents/news.php?entry_id=1584772090&title=flex--magnificence-(free)&fl=1 The FL STUDIO team encourage you to stay safe while we all ride out the CV-19 pandemic. So, we've released a free FLEX pack to help keep you inspired and creative in your home studio. Please note, this FLEX library needs FL STUDIO 20.6.1 ++++++++++++++++ Flex is one of the built FL Studio synths. It can be a bit convoluted getting the free lib installed as you've got to have the latest FL Studio installed and if you already do you need to re-register it for Magnificence to show up as a free download in Flex; but if you use Flex it's probably pretty easy. Full instructions in the top link. It's not a bad sounding synth, demo vids sound nice, but I tend not use synths or FXs that are bound to particular DAW so I've never gotten around to using it.
