Can't say that I've ever needed to convert between tuning standards (A440, A432, etc.) or likely to at this point, but nice to know a tool is there if the need arises.

I picked up the plugin even though I could probably do with a little less drama in my life right now.

What are your thoughts on that one? I haven't tried that yet. I do really love their Other Desert Cites and EOS though.
I bought it because I planned on using it for an atmospheric piece with lots of vocals and ambient instruments and I thought I could do some interesting things with it; but that project evaporated.
Turns out I'm not the biggest granular synthesis fan.
I think it can work well for some things but it didn't jell with my current alt rock projects.
At $60 I wasn't going to upgrade something that was still searching for a place in my heart; $20 (what it cost me during the current sale) on the other hand hit my FOMO threshold.
V2 has had some significant feature updates so I'll give it another shot when I have the time.
They have a fully functional demo if you're interested in checking it out.-

Quanta 2 upgrade from v1 is also on sale for 1st time that I am aware of.

Be sure to read the system requirements.
A lot of these expansions are not compatible with BFD 3.-

I like their fx and have wanted an fx version of Omnisphere like Z3ta. I like that they now have an fx rack - the cherry on top. I'll be upgrading.
Yes, very cool.
V3 now includes an Omnisphere Effects plugin!Assuming that the CPU hit isn't horrendous I might end up dumping a lot of my plugins.

Other incidents:
In the 1970's with Alice Cooper's original band - guitarist Glen Buxton became an alcoholic and they'd stand him on stage with an unplugged guitar while Dick Wagner or Mick Mashbir filled in back stage.
In 1978 ELO was accused of using a 16 track tape machine back stage so that they could mime their performance

Re: The Cakewalk Core plugins will work in any host including CbB as long as you have an active BandLab membership
Is it correct to assume then that if my Bandlab membership lapses that these VST3 plugins will stop working?
Not complaining about or bashing subscription just want to be sure I understand things properly. -

To put it as simply as possible, and to actually repeat what has been said by the staff themselves.
All re-activation methods, of the software known as Cakewalk by Bandlab or CbB, will cease, depending on how you say a date the first of August 2025,
or the 1st of the 8th 2025,
or 1/08/2025 or
08/01/2025 (for the Americans)
or 20250801.
Hi Wookie!
It shouldn't matter how you 'say' the date.
Dates and times in computer programs are usually** stored as a single numerical value representing the number of elapsed time units from a specific starting point (such as January 1, 1970, at 00:00:00 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC)). This numerical representation is then converted to a human-readable format when needed. This allows for efficient storage, calculation, and manipulation of dates and times (automatically accounting for regional and time zone differences.**I say usually because the easiest way to store, retrieve and manipulate date & time values are by using the programming language's built in functions. Now if you write code that stores the date a string (i.e. text) then you might run into such issues - as I ran into when I had to debug code written with an older 90's era programming language. In that case the American program would throw errors when processing some dates entered in European format DD/MM/YYYY for example Christmas - 12th day of the 25th month #ERROR!#.

This topic has been hashed and rehashed so many times since Bandlab acquired Sonar that it is surprising that any of this is new information to anyone.
If you search* the Cakewalk forums you can find threads of endless whining about this very subject.
* WARNING! Browsing toxic forum threads can be hazardous to your health. Prolonged exposure has shown an increased risk of suicidal thoughts and actions, especially in children, adolescents, young adults, and people under 95 - particularly during the initial hours of exposure. Symptoms can include agitation, confusion, sweating, tremors, rapid heart rate, paranoia, incoherent speech and/or babbling, upset stomach, loose bowels, profuse swearing, obsessive trolling and a decrease in your ***** life.-

Trackspacer can be golden when you need to squeeze in another track into an already busy arrangement and can't (or don't want to) spend the time re'eqing and rebalancing everything to make it fit correctly. Tweaking the mid/side balance can make all the difference.

In Product Manager, look under the ToneX Collections tab. All empty?
For ToneX I expected the collections to show up individually in the IKM Product manager like they do when you buy an individual collection (as when I bought the MESA/Boogie collection) instead the 9 signature collections are all bundled within the 'Signature Collections Vol 1"
So it turns out that I did get the Tonex items - but the Product Manager should've made that clear.
I've got all the T-RackS 6 Max items as well. They are installed, but in the IK Product Manager only the Lurssen Mastering EQ shows up under T-RackS 6 Max . The other items don't show up anywhere in the Product Manager - confusing as hell.
And further analysis shows that I got all the Pianoverse stuff as the Product Manager shows I have Pianoverse MAX - don't have them installed at the moment because diskspace (30 GB of hard disk space required for each piano title). Why they don't show this (the individual 9 pianos) under Pianoverse MAX in their Product Manager is a mystery.I didn't have the AmpliTube Morley Collection but IKM provided me with a code and now it's there.
Again the IKM Product Manager does not refer to this in the same manner i.e. "AmpliTube Morley Collection" that it is referred to on their website or in AmpliTube.
I love their stuff but IKM really needs to update their product manager.-

Total Studio 5 Max.
Well, I got it, as I didn’t have the Pianoverse grands (except one) nor the upgrade to T-Racks 6 or the Lurssen EQ.
Still a pretty fine collection, all in all.I got it yesterday and...
Ba dum tish
missing almost everything new.
The additional Tonex collections do show up in Tonex just not in IK Multimedia Product Manager.
Opened a support ticket with IKM.-

That is so weird, as I was going through them and looked for Paramore and there was nothing there, can't believe I come on here and read this 30 minutes later!
But as I got curious, I found this site where you can download all artists in one download:
https://gtptabs.com/tabs/16/paramore.html
The individual files don't have the artist name as part of the file, but luckily MacOS lets you append text to a selection of files so just done that and all good!
In the link above I found songs/artists not in my collection (like the Beatles), I got it a while ago and I'm assuming it's the same collection; maybe they're just organized differently;
on the other hand the ones at the website below match exactly with what I already have in my zipped file.On 5/4/2025 at 11:24 AM, fjz said:If you guys are interested in downloading a bunch (and I mean a BUNCH) of free gp files, they are available here.
Scroll down the page about half way, and you'll find a download link for each letter of the alphabet (either rar or zip), and one folder called "Other" at the end.
Oh, and did I mention free?

I really like the fact that there are ratings (1 - 5 red picks) beside the files on the gtptabs site.
Low ratings don't necessarily mean bad, just less popular.
Sometimes they're alternate versions e.g. acoustic (unplugged?) vs electric; or are just 'played' differently.
though sometimes they are just crappier versions.
IMHO the disk space saved doesn't warrant the effort to preclean; I'd rather wait until I check out the song then decide which are worth keeping.-

Wonder if we'll be seeing more new kits emerge from XLN.-

I won't install a verb plugin nowadays unless I can test it and it knocks my socks off. I've got too many nice verbs and a couple of great ones and way too many OK or not so OK ones that I'll never actually use.
I spent about 20 minutes experimenting with Equinox and decided to pass.
YMMV - maybe it's the cat's pajamas on your system.

I can believe it. If you're a staff engineer in a studio you run into a lot of 'different' people.
When I was an engineer I came in to do a session one day and all the windows into the studio were covered up. The studio manager explained to me that they had a session earlier with a woman who could only sing her best while nude. I neither saw the woman (clothed or not) nor heard her music so I can't comment on the results.
