The updates are of no use to me, but good to know that they are still alive in some way I guess. I do sometimes use Xpand2! for it's pad layers when I just want something quick and Loom has made it onto a few finished* versions. * They're never really finished are they ? ?

Is that why people say that bass players usually have little organs ? I always wondered what that meant.

I read it on one of those www fact checker sites, so it must be true. Sorry to be the one to tell you this, but he's not even a CW user. I have it on good authority that he's into Studio One 666.

It's the midi connector for his EZAlembic plug-in.

Ideal length of a bass solo - where does it fit on this scale?

Wow. Every day really is a school day. I had no idea that was where they came from. -
This presentation was brought to you by the manufacturers of Motorbike Ashtray™. Tune in next week to see an exclusive video of how many sore throat lozenges they managed to fit inside a child's bicycle tyre.

The only time I looked (when it seemed that it might be able to both open and play .cwp files) Reaper could be made to look ok, via themes, but the menus were terrible, almost as if the makers had never considered that a user might need to find something at some point. Never seriously looked at the other two, but yeah if Bitwig was on a dating site, it would be probably be described as fun and cuddly with GSOH.

Fleer feeling very conflicted right now. His King has spoken, yet.................

I'm guessing probably about as long as that website has been needing an upgrade.

You can do that with proper beer cans after you've enjoyed the delicious contents. It's usually best not to try when they're still full. -

I can't agree with that. Beer cans are useful. They contain beer and aid in the transportation of beer from brewer to residence. Unless they meant American beer cans - hard to see what the point of those is. -
The browser is good - I like the optional eye candy, but the rest is just so dull. Even it's mother must struggle to love it.

I didn't buy into X1 or X2 mostly because they dropped the ability to make it dark - hated that drab grey everywhere - I bought X3 only because I was about to get Melodyne and Addictive Drums anyway, so that became a no brainer, but I still wasn't keen on the UI, but I stuck with it for the ARA integration. For the same reason I didn't bother with Platinum either until they made the dark option, which was pretty much how my custom 8.5 looked, so I was finally "home" again. Which is good, because the current theme editor is way too deep for me to be bothered with and the various user themes I have seen mostly prove that good theme design is harder than you might think. Now I find it hard to imagine how they could make it look better without ruining all the good stuff again, so I hope they don't even try.

Does this make it 25% less ugly??

I still have this one I figured that if I kept it long enough it might become worth something, but failing that it still looks like a thing that someone clever would have and gives me the perceived aura of someone who knows what he's doing. Either that or the aura of someone who keeps too much old crap for too long. I prefer the first one.

Given how well the official release of BA usually works I can't even imagine how bad an untested version would be.

TBH My initial comment was more to do with the TT customer experience rather than the product. I bought EZ keys way back when for the same reason but the truth is that I have never used it once the new toy smell wore off (didn't take long). With the improvements to the Omnisphere arp function that is also now part of Trilian it's pretty easy to quickly put down some pattern type thing to serve as a placeholder that can be edited or replaced afterwards once things develop. Whatever works best for the individual I guess, but for some time now I have found myself moving away from built-in midi patterns rather than towards them.

Just as well I don't post songs anymore then - Bapu would be killin' me every time with his bass sounds stale comments. ? I'm just happy to know that there is a plug-in that you don't own. Maybe there is still some hope for you.

Yep. Save your money and buy Trilian.
