Indiginus The Resonator for SampleTank (intro pricing)
paulo replied to Peter - IK Multimedia's topic in Deals
With one of them you don't have to look at the Sampletank UI. -
Q: How do you find out who loves you more, the wife or the dogs? A: Lock them all in the garage while you do your recording and see who is still pleased to see you when you unlock the door.

Philistine............ ?

I've never seen him on this version of the forum and I think he ducked out of the previous incarnation some time before it closed. Can't remember the details, but I think it was mod related which was a shame because even as a non guitar person I always liked to follow his build threads..... I may still have his email address somewhere, but it might not still be current and in any case I wouldn't want to give it out without his permission, but If you want, I could try asking him if he was ok with me passing it on to you.

When I buy any software my only expectation is that it works as advertised and that I will be able to use it for as long as I choose to. I really don't care if the next version of that thing that I bought comes from the same company or a different one. Toontrack's upgrade your version now or we will no longer recognise you as an existing customer approach is as bad an example of customer care that I have ever seen anywhere, yet people fall over themselves to praise them for their constant development. Each to their own and all that.

It's like rain on your wedding day.......

You could, but you already know they won't be.

I don't disagree with that. I have been known to mix in an extra kick only track from....brace yourselves people ..........Cakewalk TTS-1 to beef it up a little..... I know, I know.......but don't knock it until you've tried it. I do like the NI kits too.
-
Personally I wouldn't want it to. SD3 is way OTT for my needs. I like that AD2 is light in terms of GB and still very quick to load even on my old pc. I'd be happy to pay for a reasonably priced upgrade if it just added new kits and midi. The UI still looks good to me, so changing it would just be change for the sake of change for me.

This. I quite like AD2 and it all seems to work as advertised, so maybe the lack of updates actually a good thing because it means that it was done properly in the first place and unlike some software doesn't need fixing on a regular basis. I'm a big fan of not fixing things that aren't broken, but eventually it does start to feel like a bit like it's been abandoned.

She must have been VERY pretty.......?

Yep. Fake it 'til you make it. ?

That depends who's playing it.?

Or someone has an extra one ? Unlikely you might think, but it is a fact that most people in the world have more than the average amount of hands.

Shortcut from Console View to Synth Properties?
paulo replied to Sven's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Unless I'm missing something , the above responses all relate to track view and synth rack view whereas the OP's question relates to console view. -
Unfreeze track jumps to a completely new track in Track View
paulo replied to Sven's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
It's not a new thing as I'm several versions behind the current one and anyway it is something that has annoyed me for a quite a long time (years). I asked the question a long time ago and was told that it is "intended" behaviour. After the unfreeze the display returns to the track that has the "focus", ie whichever one it was before you unfroze the synth. To prevent it you have to first change the "focus" to the track that you are about to unfreeze and then it won't do it as you are already looking at the focused track. To me, the act of unfreezing a track pretty much says that I am now focusing on that track - why would I unfreeze a track if I'm not about to work on that track (?) so it should override automatically, but program logic says no......the focus is on whatever track you said it was before you unfroze the synth, so that's the one you have to look until you tell me otherwise. Total PITA as I nearly always forget,, but my request to have it changed so that it defaults to the newly unfrozen track was never acknowledged. -
That's near enough for a bass player, right?

A Moment of Softube Absurdity - brought to you by Plugin Boutique
paulo replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
Yeah, never ever take a PIB "sale" price at face value. Their marketing technique seems to mainly involve putting on a blindfold, sticking some pins in the product list, adding a random amount onto the price of them, then taking slightly less than that off again and calling it a sale.
