I think I see where you're coming from......maybe they could go a stage further and move all the DYKs to a specialist section called Attention Really Serious Enthusiasts?
Ahh man I feel your pain. Worst job ever. Even those guys that know that they have to spend the next fortnight mixing a Michael Buble album would rather go to work than redo their DAW pc.
I see your point re orchestral stuff, The RD2000 has the best of both worlds......
I have occasionally tried to justify buying one to myself but the unfortunate truth is that it's OTT for what I need.
I always figured that their d-beam controller would be good for stuff like that too but I've never tried it.
Just to illustrate why you can never please everyone, I've always wished that other manufacturers would adopt the Roland method. The movement just seems more natural to me. For me the problem with Roland keyboards that I've seen in recent years is that they all look and feel a bit flimsy and cheap which would be ok if they were but they're not.
I've been having a play with this today......is it just me that finds that it keeps losing the sound? If I slightly move the mod wheel it comes back again, but after every pause unless I do that there is no sound which doesn't take long to get old.
