If it helps you decide, the mounting frame on the Nitro/Turbo sets is crap - very small and flimsy, so assuming that you're a regular sized adult male I think you'd have trouble playing them comfortably. Seems like it's aimed more at kids to me. The frame on the Surge/Command sets is way better in every way. Bit more money obviously, but IMO there's no contest.

If/when I install this version on my DAW pc the very first thing I'll be doing is reinstating that.

If I use headphones I can still use it inside, but if if I want to check the mix on my monitors I have no choice other than to take it all outside because they are near field monitors and I don't have a field indoors.

I've only had a very quick look, but unless I'm missing something the show/hide arranger button shows the arranger in TV but doesn't hide it again. (Win 8.1 if it matters)

IIRC the demo version works for 30 days.

Yeah I know. I had it installed a few years back (X3 version) when they were practically giving it away and I really tried to like it, but then the 1980's called and asked for their UI back.
