Please take a look at the documentation. There are also several tutorials to help you get started. https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR&language=3&help=Views.30.html https://discuss.cakewalk.com/index.php?/forum/35-tutorials/
  3. 4K 47 inch monitor here. Have not noticed it being any less crisp then Studio One or others that I use. Some have complained that some menu's text look more blurry but I have not noticed that.
  4. The FX won't modify what you see ony what you hear. To have the waveform altered, if for some reason this is important to you, you wouild have to bounce the track to audio to apply the effect permenently to the audio. https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR X3&language=3&help=Mixing.45.html#:~:text=Click the Track view Tracks,Track(s) dialog box.&text=Select the first destination track for the mixdown.&text=If you've saved a,now in the Preset window.&text=Tracks.,-Choosing this option The images can't be seen because cakewalk stores their images for the documentation on an http rather then a secure https server. You have to add cakewalk.com and some other site to your safe sites browser list. I have done this and still get pages that doen't show the information.
  5. Without seeing your exact routing it is hard to tell but it seems like the following might be happening from your description. - You have a send to a Amp Sim that outputs to a bus - You also have the audio track going somewhere as well? Usually, I just put the amp sim on the track. I personally would not send my guitar track to an amp sim using a send unless I was trying to blend the amp sim sound with the non effected sound. Sends are usually, not always, used to send a portion of a signal to effect it and then have it blend in with the original signal.
  6. Talent, practice, good ears, knowledge, passion and the right tools. Same thing that makes people good at any endevour.
  7. I don't think you can get rid of it unless there is some color setting where you could blend it in? here are all the options. https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Views.03.html
  8. When you say it won't load do you mean it doesn't show up or you try to load it and nothering happens? Try doing a vst reset and rescan. https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR&language=3&help=Mixing.40.html#:~:text=Go to Edit > Preferences > File - VST Settings.,-2.&text=Under VST Scan%2C click the Reset All VST Plug-ins,to your folder default settings.
  9. Did you record a mono or a stereo track? There is a stereo/mono interleave button on each track. Try toggling that to see if it makes a difference. Also, make sure your master bus is set to output to a stereo output on your mixer.
  10. I have had this problem in the past but not experienced it recently. If I recall the only fix I found was to re-install my audio interface drivers.
  11. Submit a support ticket and send them your project. Maybe they can reproduce it.
  12. I would suggest sending one of your projects to cakewalk support to see if they can help you. Support@cakewalk.com
  13. This topic had a similiar problem. Turns out that if you have a path in Cakewalk set with a zip file or some others it will hang trying to read in that file.
  14. Here is says that it should be remembered when you save your project. I don't use it so I actually don't know. https://www.cakewalk.com/Support/Knowledge-Base/2007013093/Staff-and-Lyrics-Views
  15. There is a "zero controllers" setting in preferences that could cause this. http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=4&help=Dialogs2.068.html
  16. That Sounds like you want a chord track. Cakewalk does not have that.
  17. If you instatiate a new instance of a virtual instrument you can have a whole new 16 channels to work with. When playing with your controller you have to enable echo on the ones you want to record or play. When playing back as long as the Midi track is directed towards the desired synth then the midi data for that one midi track should only affect the pointed to instrument.
  18. Seems like this line got a bit mixed up with their MTurboReverb???? "MTurboDelay - the most powerful algorithmic reverb ever made. 100 reverbs in one and more..."
  19. I think what it means is that while moving the track there is a little highlight bar that shows what level the track will be dropped to if the mouse is let go at that time. By moving the track right/left the indicator will move to show at what level the track will be dropped.
  20. Could it be the "!" in your folder names? Try removing it and see what happens
  21. Interesting. I have always got a response within a few days. Not that they have a solution just that they acknowledge that they recieved it.
  22. That is a strange problem. You should definitely not have to "reinstall" anything to get plugins to work. I would start with checking your audio driver buffer settings and change them to something bigger or smaller to see if it helps. There are also midi buffer settings documented here. Also, letting people know your Audio Interface make and model as well as what driver type and settings your using might help.
