  1. In track view, select you midi track and then open the inspector (Press i ) It's under where you enter MIDI FX plugins..... look for three fields with “none”. The top one is the track's MIDI channel. Click on that to change from “none” to MIDI channel.
  2. I might be wrong on this, but I believe that what you need to set is the MIDI track's actual channel. (under where you enter any MIDI FX) When you create a MIDI track, the MIDI track's actual channel defaults to “none”. This will cause the MIDI channel of any events in that MIDI track to obey the MIDI channel of those actual events in the MIDI track. If you set the MIDI channel of your MIDI track to something other than “none” (ie a number from 1 to 16) - then any events in the MIDI track will use that channel. I sequence 16 channel MIDI files for an SW1000XG, which is a 32 track (I only use the first 16), multitimbral XG MIDI playback card. In CbB, I have 16 MIDI tracks. Each of those MIDI tracks has their MIDI channels numbered 1 to 16 respectively. This means that the MIDI channels use the MIDI track's MIDI channels. These MIDI channels settings override any channels set in the events themselves. This way, the notes and events get sent to the correct part on the SW1000XG. Personally, I have only ever used the PRV single Controller Lane for the many controllers I use in my sequences. I actually find these more flexible (and access to the transform tool)
  3. The only time 3D would be happening on your PC is when you are gaming. There are some plugins that will use the GPU for graphic rendering.... but this is not “3D”. Meldaproduction is an example of plugins that can use the GPU to speed up graphic rendering within the plugin. The reason drivers are updated is because the developers (who have a much deeper knowledge of their products than end users do) have found flaws in their code that end user would never have found. The “if it ain't broke don't fix it” argument is only really valid if you can say with absolute surety that it is not broken. Just because something appears to work properly, does not mean that are not any flaws. I always update..... Drivers, CbB, windows updates, etc.....but that's just me.
  4. Head over to Nvidia and download Nvidia's driver for the GTX 750 Ti . These will be more recent that Microsoft's driver. The most recent Nvidia drivers for the GTX 750 Ti is 512.95 and was released on May 24 2022 The nVidia control panel is actually required if you want to optimise your Nvidia card. I have these drivers installed with a GTX960 and it's working fine as well. https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverResults.aspx/189681/en-us What I also do is use NVSlimmer to repackage the driver to remove a lot of the Nvidia stuff I don't need. When I repackage, I deselect everything except Core Display Driver, Install core and PhysX https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/nvslimmer-nvidia-driver-slimming-utility.423072/
  5. What you have to do is enable “MIDI in” on the plugin that you want to control with MIDI (top toolbar of the plugin window when it says VST2 or VST3) Create a new MIDI track, with Echo on ,and then route that new MIDI track to the plugin that you have enabled “MIDI in” on (the same place where you route the MIDI data to a synth) As a test (and to make sure it works), I created a Simple Instrument Track of AAS Strum-GS with a dry electric guitar (no internal effects enabled). I inserted an instance of Amplitude 5 on that Simple Instrument Track. I enabled “MIDI in” on Amplitude 5 On Amplitude 5 I create a preset that includes a WAH pedal. I created a new track and routed the MIDI data from this track to Amplitude 5. I enabled local echo on this MIDI track. I opened the Amplitude 5 GUI and Enabled MIDI learn on the Amplitude 5 Wah pedal that I added I moved my foot controller (which I know transmits CC1 events values) The mapping was created. Now I can control WAH in Amplitude 5 with the foot while playing Strum-GS. I hope that helps.
  6. Definitely. I use AutoHotkey scripts all the time. Same goes for CAL and Studioware Panels - but that's a topic for separate thread.
  7. I opened up Customisation | Keyboard Shortcuts (Advanced) and I was able to find “Show/hide ProChannel” under the Area “Console View” rather than “Global bindings” From there, you can assign another key binding to “Show/hide ProChannel”

    New release

Well if you are not going to answer the question, you're on your own. Good luck with an attitude like that.
  9. .....and emil has left the building.....

    New release

I have a PC configured as per my signature and I am not experiencing any crashes with this release of CbB. Can you list your detailed PC specs, what audio interface you are using , what driver mode. What sample rate, bit depth and buffer size you are using.
  11. Maybe a firewall is blocking some access that the Product Portal needs....
  12. Uninstall the broken one first then reinstall
  13. Press N to disable snap to grid. I edit and create MIDI files all the time with CbB and it is very much better than any previous version of Sonar or Cakewalk
  14. Unfortunately IKM Have not fixed the pitch bend range issue in all patches that use the ST4 engine. The actual bend range is double that of what you have dialled in. This also means you cannot achieve a bend range of an odd number of semi-tones. I am remaining on 4.16 until IKM resolves this.

    Windows 10 Pro Question

What you could try is run Process Monitor from Microsoft Sysinternals to see which process is accessing the network and to what address https://docs.microsoft.com/en-au/sysinternals/ Maybe download Malwarebytes Free and do a full scan, just to rule out Malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/ Note: Disabling Windows updates has always been a bad idea - but that's a discussion for another thread.
  16. There is still the issue of pitch bend ranges being double what is dialled in on any Syn2 synth (and on ST4.16 that loads any synth that uses the ST4 engine) This issue only manifests in Sampletank 4.17 and Syntronik 2.02 (which is why I bring it up here) Two months ago, I lodged a ticket with IK Support (with requests for progress update in between) and they have yet to address this. Until this is resolved, I am stuck on Syntronik 2.01 and Sampletank 4.16
  17. Maybe drop a note Cakewalk support here: https://help.cakewalk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000025633
  18. Does the “hitting red” correspond with the instances of sputtering and drops outs? I would not like the performance to be “hitting red a lot”. Strictly as a test, try 48/24.
  19. If you do manage to find it on your PC somewhere, the exact file size of “SYN2_Syner-V_Part_4.zip” should be 4,682,162,618 bytes
  20. Can you not simply download it from here? https://www.ikmultimedia.com/userarea/my-products/
  21. Define “All the usual config stuff has been checked” These “two people who have done it for years” - does “it” mean “configure a Windows machine for DAW use” or “PCs in general” First thing you might want to check is that the CPU power min and max is 100% (Sane as turning off core parking) Try Start + run "control powercfg.cpl,,1" (without quotes) and set CPU Min and Max to 100% (Under Processor power management) Another thing. In preferences | Audio | Configuration File try adjusting the following: EnableSetThreadIdealProcessor = False MixThreadCount = {number of cores minus 1} You might like to exit Cakewalk by Bandlab, go to the following folder and make a copy of the AUD.INI file before doing this: %appdata%\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core Also, I am assuming that all of your drivers are up to date (using manufacturer's websites rather than Windows updates) This goes without saying - you are using ASIO mode I take it? What sample rate, bit depth and sample buffer size are you using? What is the CbB Performance Module showing you (when a project is being played?
  22. Try opening up the IK Product Manager and do a refresh. The way I have installed all of these is by downloading the zip files of the sound files manually, extract the files and run the exe files from the extracted files' destination folder. This works every time. No error messages when loading patches (in SYN2 or ST4) I trust the IK Product Manager to do the actual activation, but not the installation. If that doesn't work, you can try your luck with IK support: https://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support/sw/
  23. And no Kontakt Full required......
