  1. Your PC kicks more derrière than mine does (see sig) and I do not have the “sluggish response” issues you are having. I have had the NTK DAEMON running in the background while CbB is running and this has not caused “sluggish response” in CbB. Though I have configured my system to only start the NTK DAEMON service when Native Access 2 is running (and stop the service when I exit Native Access 2). As a test, what happens if you disable all audio devices except the Komplete Audio 6 (and use its native ASIO drivers)? I am assuming your Windows is fully patched, the VDIST runtimes are the latest and you are using the latest drivers for all of your hardware (Do this using manufacturer's websites rather than via Windows updates)
  2. Do you have full permissions to the folder where SD3 stores it's data? I don’t use SD3 so I don’t know where that folder would be by default. (Maybe see if the Windows application event viewer tells you). Have you tried temporarily running Cakewalk as an administrator (just to see if you can open a project). If you can, then it looks like a Windows permission issue.
  3. I am so glad I can literally hide threads on these forums.
  4. and sample buffer size? Did you try real time export and/or turning off 64-bit Double Precision Engine (done in Preferences - Audio - Driver settings) I am assuming you have disabled the NVIDIA audio drivers (done in Device Manager > system devices > High Definition Audio Controller, right click, disable)
  5. Have you tried enabling VST scan logs to see if those generated logs sheds any light? Enable these in Preferences - File - VST Settings and check the results here. %APPDATA%\Cakewalk\Logs\VstScan.log
  6. If you are using TTS-1, Reverb can be added to a part with CC91 and Chorus can bee added to a part with CC93. Pan is controlled by CC10 with CC> 63 being centre. Of course, these can be added using the controller lanes in the Piano roll view. If using another synth, automation might be the way to go. Depending on the plugin, you could also use MIDI learn to map CCs to parameters in that synth that control Reverb and Chorus. Most synths have CC10 mapped to pan - but thos could also be mapped. If the synth does not contain inbuilt Reverb and Chorus, then you can use those specific effects in the track’s effect rack. Then you can have another MIDI track routed to those plugins. One thing to note with a synth’s built in reverb is that if you control the level of that synth, any built in reverb tails will also reduce in level. There would be occasions where a reverb might be better placed in the track’s effect rack. It depends on what you are after. There is no “right” way to do it. It's what ever gets you the result you are after. Others will be able to add to this...
  7. What are your PC Specs? (see my signature for example). My PC is configured as per my signature and every export using CbB 2022.11 has been successful. I am assuming latest drivers, plugin versions and Windows fully patched. Also what sample rate, bit depth and buffer size are you using? have you tried larger buffer sizes? Have you tried real time export. Tried turning off 64-bit Double Precision Engine, seeing if that changes anything?
  8. Can it be assumed that you have a OpengGL 2.0 compatible GPU and that the plugin is activated in your iLok account. Have you tried the VST2 version?
  9. I use the Firefox addon, Stylus to change the look and feel of the entire entire forum as it appears on my PC. One change I have made is that I have placed the original poster (along with the title) of a given thread at the top. It remains at the top even when I scroll down.
  10. This is how the export has always worked for me - it’s successful every time.. (I usually use the “Select nothing”) If I ever get a partial export, it’s because I inadvertently selected something before the export.
  11. I temporarily configured my PCR-800 to transmit MIDI Clock (F8), and this did not result in the MIDI activity indicator lighting up. Only pressing keys or moving sliders on the PCR-800 did. For the OP, it looks like a faulty slider or knob on their MIDI Controller. Either use MIDI-OX, or you could record to a MIDI track and see what events are being transmitted by your controller. Then open up your MIDI controller software to see which knob or slider is configured to transmit those events.
  12. What you might want to do in this situation is temporarily add the folders that 32 bit Sonar scans into your CbB VST settings. Then get CbB to do a VST scan (with logging enabled) to see if it hangs CbB. If that VST scan does hang in CbB, then look at those VST logs to help you troubleshoot. Of course, remove the 32 bit Sonar folders from CbB when you are done.....
  13. So scanning the same folder with CbB does not hang in Background Processes?
  14. By Sonar, are you really meaning Cakewalk by Bandlab, or an older version of Sonar? That will likely be a plugin issue rather than a Cakewalk issue. What you might want to do is enable “Generate Scan Log” in preferences - File - VST Settings The generated file will be in %APPDATA%\Cakewalk\Logs\VstScan.log This might give you have indication of which VST is causing the issue. Then you can see if you are using the latest version or a different iteration of that plugin.
  15. This makes me wonder if there is anyone on this planet who has actually payed $US199.00 for Black Hole..
  16. How many adults could an adult entertainer entertain if an adult entertainer entertained adult entertainers.............
  17. Promidi

    App crash

My experience? Dragging an effect into a track’s effect rack just works. Is this a specific effect or any effect? If a specific, Have you tried different iterations (vst2 instead of vst3 or vis versa)
  18. What are your other specs. What plugins? What sample rate and bit depth. Using the latest version of Cakewalk by Bandlab? (the latest is 2022.11 build 21) Windows fully patched? My PC is configured as per my signature and I have never had a crash from pasting (either MIDI data or Audio) in Cakewalk by Bandlab.
  19. Cakewalk never went to a subscription model. It was a membership. (and no, they are not the same thing)
  20. Or hold SHIFT while adjusting the durations of one of the selected notes. That will make all the selected note the same duration as the note you are adjusting.
  21. That quantises time, not note values.
  22. What kind of tracks are those “couple of tracks”? Are they MIDI (routed to a synth) or straight audio?
  23. This is for hardware MIDI output devices. Do you have any and if so, is at least one of them selected in Preferences - MIDI - Devices?
