My Sonar Platinum projects have all opened in Cakewalk by Bandlab seemlessly The "online tool" you mention is not the same as Cakewalk by Bandlab. Did you open the inspector for the MIDI track (Select the MIDI track and press i ) Then look down the bottom of the inspector for "In/Out". Just above the track name is where that MIDI track is being routed. If you have loaded soft synths, the loaded soft synths will be listed there. MIDI ports will also be listed.

Is the synth or VSTi physically modelled or does it use samples. Also, does the VSTi actually repond to program change events. If the VSTi is physically modelled and it responds to program changes (like Applied Acoustic Systems VSTis for eg), then the patch changes are responded to pretty much instantly. If the VSTi uses sample and it responds to program changes, then there will be significant delay while the sample is being loaded. In that case, maybe freezing the track might be in order. Regarding the list of patches. There are some VSTs that populate this list - otherwise you have to read the manual for that VSTi to know what program change commands to send. If you're using a hardware synth and you have correctly loaded the appropriate Instrument definition file (INS), then the patch list will be populated with the correct patches for that hardware synth. This is assuming the INS file contains the names. Bottom line is that it depends entirely on the VSTi or synth.

It's not a hidden file. It's just the extension that's hidden. Select AUD ( which is actually AUD.INI ) file and hit F2. Then rename it to something like AUD_Back Obviously do this with Cakewalk closed. Ideally you would want to change folder settings so that extensions are not hidden. This is done in Control Panel | File Explorer options, "View" tab, then deselect "Hide Extensions for known file types"

If it's ticks that causes the notes to move the required amount, then I think you were wanting ticks rather than milliseconds. Note: if you do use ticks, then the actual amount of shift , if defined in milliseconds, would depend on the tempo of the project were the notes are. What I would do is select all the notes in the given track(s) that contains all the notes you wish to change. Then use Edit | Select | by filter to narrow the selection to the notes that have the velocity range that you wish to edit. Then use Process Nudge settings to define the milliseconds to nudge the notes by and then perform the nudge. If you are willing to convert the milliseconds to ticks, you can use Process | Slide and slide by the calculated ticks.
