  1. I've already got the Ample upright bass...
  2. I have been wanting to try my hand at "Americana" style for a while. Now gosh-dangit, I may have to try this fiddle, even if I embarrass myself with poor fiddle playing technique. ? I couldn't help noticing in the demo that @Reid Rosefeltposted, how great the steel also sounded. Conundrum: now I want The Fiddle, The Steel, and The Resonator. ?
  3. Yes, but you need to be the first to post to be the editor in chief, LOL! I only managed to do that because Larry is away!!! ?

  5. Dear AmpliTube 5 user, AmpliTube 5 has been updated to version 5.1.1 for Mac/PC. This new version optimizes various functions and features as well as includes different fixes for issues some users might have experienced. We recommend all AmpliTube 5 users update for the best experience. Best regards, Your IK Multimedia team Instructions To get updated on Mac/PC, launch the IK Product Manager, go to Manage My Products, and use the Update button next to AmpliTube 5. Changes from version 5.1: Improvements • Fixed Pitch Shifter rack version split mode that had a wrong behavior. Now it splits the dry and pitched signals between left and right channels. • Receive channel in MIDI dialog in the preferences window now supports a None option to ignore any incoming MIDI signal from any channel. • Fixed Brit Silver wrong push-pull behavior. • Updated all Brian May presets containing the Chorus CE-1 pedal that had a wrong behavior causing the presets to be too processed. • Fixed X-TIME’s Arctic model that had no delayed signal when BPM mode was active. • Fixed a possible crash while drag & dropping pedals. • General reliability improvements.
  6. Although I might be tempted to embarrass myself with The Fiddle, I think the maybe I should take a pass, LOL!
  7. Cakewalk, Sonar, Cubase, and a few others, were all born out of multi-track MIDI sequencers. Later on they added audio via hard disk recording to their feature set, forming the modern concept of a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). But hard disk audio recording for personal computers was originally a separate line of audio only products. Digital audio multi-track recording and editing was actually an off-shoot of recording to analog tape. Digital tape decks started appearing on recording consoles, and later computer based programs were available for hard disk recording, such as Digidesign Pro Tools https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pro_Tools , and SAW (Software Audio Workshop). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SAWStudio
  8. Why buy Reason, when there is Live? UnReasonable!
  9. I have the full Analog Lab 4 and Analog Lab V both installed side-by-side. My AL 4 did not revert to Lite (which I never had a license for), when I installed AL V (as it became available as a free upgrade from AL 4). The actual upgrade to AL V was optional, not forced, as it was only added to my AL 4 license.
  10. They clearly don't see you as "valued". LOL! ?
  11. The update to Analog Lab V now includes the SQ80 with 20 presets!
  12. I also wish Waves would do away with their plugin "shell" method. It is annoying to have to wait for a full scan anytime Waves updates or adds a single plugin. And while they are at it, how about granting 2 licenses per plugin, like most other companies, huh?
  13. I have Fathom Pro, and all the sound packs. One of the best sounding synths out there! Very powerful semi-modular synth, with tons of options that allow you to build up your own signal chain and modulations. But I struggle with the GUI, especially if I have not used it in a while. Not entirely intuitive to dig into. The synth is developed by a one-man shop, who has generally been very accessible via KVR forums, but he has shown little interest in changing the GUI or workflow. He does not care for skeuomorphic design. Since I now have Voltage Modular by Cherry Audio, I wish to pursue my modular ramblings in their entirely skeumorphic and intuitive workflow. It has infinite possibilities! ?
  14. You need to log into your AAS account, go to "Registered Products", and look under "Upgrades & Offers". They offered me 2 for $19 to complete my Chromaphone collection. Humanized & Transmutation. $19 and done! ?
  15. Just updated Analog Lab V to the latest via Arturia Software Center, and the SQ80 V has been added! With 20 presets! A small sound set taste!
  16. I have the H stuff as well, but haven't even looked at it since getting T-RackS MAX. And Mixbox.
  17. As far as effects go, I have some great alternatives to Waves, except for the Abbey Road Collection. There is some seriously cool stuff in there that is not really duplicated elsewhere, IMO. Oh yeah, and Scheps Omni Channel.
  18. I logged into my AAS account today, and lo and behold, they are offering me 2 for $19. ? This new one, Humanized from Daniel Stawczyk, plus another called Transmutation, that they added since I last completed my Chromaphone 3 collection. I have many other Daniel Stawczyk packs, and really like his sound design! Also have several of his for Ultra Analog VA-3. Good stuff!!!
  19. I already have V Collection 8, and they are offering me a deal on the SQ80 bundle for $49. Not sure I need the SQ80. Just picked up the Korg Collection 3 a while back and still digging thru that. Don't think I need any more synths for a while, LOL! Oh wait, I heard Cherry Audio has a new synth release in a couple more days... V Collection 8 is pretty decent, so grab it for a good price while you can!
  20. The only thing Waves that I really care about is the Abbey Road Collection, and a few of their synths, Codex, Elements, and Flow Motion. I don't see any WUP in their near future, as the v12 seems pretty complete to me as is. But if Waves offers some compelling feature updates, maybe someday, but until then I will pass on WUP...
  21. I was pretty clear about this when I stated: "It can be, if you don't know what you are doing with it."
