  1. He's not been gone a week, and the kids are acting up! ?
  2. It's not about you, and your first impression was correct. I was agreeing with you, so your snarky comment wasn't necessary. That additional comment was placed there for the benefit of "others", not you.
  3. Did you just intuitively know that, or did you learn the hard way?
  4. My Cherry favorites so far are Voltage Modular, Eight Voice, and MemoryMode. I also have their ARP2600, but I also have the ARP2600 V3 from Arturia, and the Korg ARP Odyssey. I did have the TimewARP2600 from Way Out Ware, but it has been uninstalled. Was getting way too crowded with new ARP stuff to keep old, unsupported synths around. ? Of the ARPs, I think I like the sound of the ARP Odyssey the best. It has that special something! But the Cherry and Arturia emulations are good too. I need to spend more time with them to declare a favorite 2600.
  5. Correct, but the user was attempting this process from the wrong synth! You cannot download SM One banks from SM 2.9.9. Look at the screen grab, that is obviously 2.9.9. The giveaway there is that 2 layers, and that Mod Matrix are not in SM One.
  6. The sounds are quite good. Especially nice if you want to see some examples of where Fathom can take you! I bought the Film Score Bundle for $21 (marked down from $45), that contains 6 banks:
  7. PluginGuru is set to cover Mercury-4 in his live stream today!
  8. For a minute there I though that this was W.A. Production. ? Very interesting mix of stringed world instruments, percussion, vocals, didgeridoo, and orchestral elements. Among other things, that Tibetan and Mongolian throat singing!!! ?
  9. The 5" driver on my left monitor has started buzzing with certain waveforms and frequencies, mostly with deep sine wave heavy sounds, such as bass guitar and some other instruments such as an organ or VA synth. Particularly noticeable while playing a low D note. Higher octaves do not seem to produce this effect. It seems to be resonating with certain sounds. If I gently press my finger on the edge of the driver (speaker cone), it will dampen the buzzing sound, so I assume that this is mechanical, and not electrical. Is this fixable? I'm not a speaker guru... have been using them for 3 years, and this issue started recently. Have always used them at a reasonably low level, with all types of music. Balanced audio cables connected to a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2. Swapped L&R channels and problem stayed on left monitor. If it's broken, I'm going to blame it on Tone2 Saurus 3, LOL!!!
  10. NKS is probably useful if you are playing presets, but not so much if you want to dive into the GUI and actually program this thing. Which is what this legendary synth begs for you to do!
  11. IK's GUI does not seem as well suited for an instrument like this with so many articulation, picking, and strumming options. The IK Resonator walkthrough video shows that you have to select and load from a list of pre-configured instruments to access everything. For example, the picking styles make use of the SampleTank 4 PHRASER, so a different view is used for that. You load the designated instrument, then click on the ST4 Groove Players icon. And in order to access the strumming feature, again you must you load the instrument that uses the ST4 STRUMMER, then switch to ST4 Groove Players, for yet another view. Cumbersome workflow? You decide...
  12. Correct, you don't need to highlight any banks. Just refreshing your licenses will pick up any new banks that you have not installed yet.
  13. SM3 I hope! I wanted to like Zebra 2, and have been running the demo for like forever (and Zebralette)! I love the sounds very much, but for some reason, I just cannot enjoy digging into programming that darn thing! It's probably just me!
  14. Yup! And still waiting patiently for SM3 to be released... ?
  15. You get keyswitches and articulations in IK, but no Indigenus GUI like you see in the Kontakt version. Kontakt also offers a solo mode and a chords mode. The walkthrough videos on the respective product sites give the details, but here a couple of screen grabs that highlight the major difference in the GUI.
  16. I just realized that this plugin is 10 years old. So the GUI is probably not scalable.
  17. Not hearing that here. Windows audio running at sample rate 48k.
  18. Bumping this because only 2 days left, and I just saw this deal in the BPB Blog...
  19. As the title of the post says "SynthMaster One". Not a bank for SM 2.9.9. That procedure that you posted will work for new v2.9.9 banks, l but doesn't apply here.
  20. Maybe run it through AmpliTube?
  21. Reactivation credits don't apply to Amplitube, or many other IK software products. You can always download them as often, and for as long as you wish! But any downloads under the "Sounds" tab in Product Manager are subject to expiration. So IK reactivation credits only apply to them.
  22. Follow the instructions and refresh your licenses from the "KV331 Audio Shop Tab" in the SM One browser (basically right-click anywhere in that page to bring up a context menu). Your bank will be added when you refresh your licenses.
  23. Jazz bass and fiddle, ewwww!!!
