  1. You cannot just relocate folders used by Cakewalk without first going into settings and letting Cakewalk know where to find them. File - Folder Locations http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=0x201D9
  2. http://forum.cakewalk.com/Roland-A300-PRO-m3639812.aspx https://www.roland.com/global/support/by_product/a-300pro/owners_manuals/e25e64e3-cc12-45fb-b968-c7ea6cb8761f/
  3. Uninstall the old CS version using Windows "Programs and Features", then run AmpliTube 5, and click on "Custom Shop" from the AT5 GUI.
  4. Bump. This is still free... check out the video linked above! And it's awesome! *Full Kontakt required
  5. Seriously though, full Kontakt opens up an entire world of less expensive and free libraries. It's definitely worth looking into. For example, I got The Fiddle, The STEEL, and The Resonator from Indigenous for $59 each! https://www.indiginus.com/ There is a serious markup for Player compatible libraries due to licensing fees the developer must pay to NI. I held out with Kontakt Player for years, but finally did the crossgrade to the full Kontakt version this year, when it was on sale for 50% off. But definitely wait for another sale if you are thinking about diving in! I got Kontakt for $124.50 + tax vs. full retail of $399.
  6. Yes, it cooked my dinner and washed the dishes last night. Then at bedtime, it fluffed my pillow! So no complaints! ?
  7. This thing is actually more versatile and playable than I imagined at first glance... Not a gimmick! Includes 20 handcrafted ambient pads. Encroaching on Chromaphone territory! Walkthrough: Desk Bell! | Free Sample Library
  8. The X-Chorus pedal? I don't see that one on the list. I assumed that the X-Vibe was for chorus, due to some chorus presets. But I see X-Vibe listed as modulation. So, a 5th virtual X-Pedal?
  9. Still got KVR beat here on the GB thread page count! ? 164 vs. 150
  10. Yup! Install over current installation process smooth here.
  11. So which X-Pedal are you NOT getting? LOL! I had a first go with them today and the 4 pedals are essentially, drive, chorus, reverb, & delay. With a lot of preset variations each...
  12. Most of the Syntronik Modules stand out. Depends on what your favorite vintage sounds are. I'm no help here, LOL! IK added a few new instruments after the original release, and I think several of them are very good, such as VCF-3 (EMS VCS3), Memory-V (Memorymoog), and M-Poly (Korg Mono/Poly and Polysix).. Try Syntronik Free and see if you vibe with any in particular. Maybe the Alesis Andromeda (Galaxy in "Syntronik" speak), is one to check out. Erik Norlander was the sound designer for IK Syntronik, and was on the original Alesis Andromeda design team for that one. That's a rare synth, and I think the only one that others have not emulated yet. Erik also owns most of the other well cared for vintage gear that he sampled for Syntronik. Decisions, decisions... ? https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/syntronik/index.php?p=instruments&pkey=syntronik-instruments-all
  13. I'm sticking with Windows 10 Pro until 2025, even though my hardware is compatible with 11. Never been an early adopter. I much prefer stability over new bells and whistles...
  14. You get 4 new pedal models to use in AmplTube 5.
  15. The X-Gear software pedals are for use in AmpliTube, available separately.
  16. I hear ya, but I got impatient and bought the Kontakt version of Resonator directly from Tracy Collins last week. I think I prefer the Kontakt UI for that instrument, with so many articulations and expressions. Only $59, but requires full Kontakt.
  17. Might be a while. I just grabbed them to use up some of my 16 leftover freebie slots. Got everything else, LOL! FYI, these were available in my $149 GB level choices. But I love effects, and figured they might come in handy sooner or later with my virtual guitars from Orange Tree and UJAM!
  18. I have the full Analog Lab V and the full Syntronik. I would consider them both to be preset machines, and both have great sounds! But both are limited to the oscillators designed into the presets. So as a preset machine, I would lean towards Analog Lab. Simply because modeled synths have nearly instantaneous preset load times, so are much easier to audition sounds with. And IMO the preset browser is more advanced in Analog Lab. And your MiniLab MK2 should have built-in control maps for AL, so you are ready to play! In comparison, every time you select a preset in Syntronik, you then will need to load it and wait for the samples to load... YMMV on load times, based on your computer and drive speed. Just something to consider. But some of the sounds are worth the wait! Just takes a bit more patience to find them, and recommend setting them as favorites! However, Syntronik is more useful if you like to create layers and splits, with up to 4 instruments. And it has a very nice dynamic arpeggiator. Analog Lab is limited to 2 parts. So try out the Syntronik Free version, and compare for yourself! https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/syntronik/index.php?p=versions
  19. Thanks! Just grabbed the 4 virtual X-Gear pedals! X-Vibe, X-Space, X-Time, & X-Drive.
  20. Just read this morning that Windows 11 Home edition will require both an internet connection and a Microsoft account login. https://www.engadget.com/windows-11-review-microsoft-mindful-os-200028040.html
  21. Start with Syntronik Free to get an idea of what you might like. You just may decide to upgrade to the Syntronik bundle, LOL! Or, if not, you might narrow down your list of singles a bit. https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/syntronik/index.php?p=versions
  22. I added some additional info to my recent post. W.A. Production support got me back up and running with Liquid Notes. But no successor product was released for that.
  23. I believe you are thinking of Liquid Notes, by Re-Compose. Received the following by email on 10/2/2019: Then on 11/17/2019 received this: Never heard anything more about product relaunches. But I did contact W.A Production when I was unable to re-activate my license for Liquid Notes on a new computer last year. W.A Production support arranged for the plugin to be assigned to my Plugin Boutique account. Then Plugin Boutique arranged a 100% discount for me to retrieve a new license. Then followed the instructions and the developer emailed me a temporary link to a pre-signed installer, no activation required. All good now.
  24. Yep, what Doug said. ^^^ And the file has to download AND unzip before it can be installed, so that requires at least 2x the size of the download file. Make sure that you have ample space on the drive where the IK Product Manager has its download folder. I download to my boot drive, which has 200GB free, and then delete install files after the install to my 'D:' drive has been completed.
